Years ago I used to enjoy watching her on television. Then she had a performance in the city I was living. I along with friends were all excited to see her live on stage.
Within the first 10 minutes she was able to offend about 5-10 folks who walked out. After about 20 mins I along with my friends and 40 others caught the second wave out. .
It takes a lot to offend me, but when she was bashing the the majority who were minorites really made me feel uncomfortable for them and their pride. Many kept their mouths shut and endured her intentional racist performance because she knew she was performing for a 89% Hispanic community.
She thought she was hitting outside of the park, until next morning the local media shredding her performance. Instead of apologizing and maybe switching her performance, it was much easier for her to cancel next evenings show and haul ass out if town without national media reporting on the incident.
Kudos to her, I hope she can revive her career, but don't beg for a second chance using her self induced irresponsible behavior as her platform for laughs. I hope she finds other topics to cover other than trashing the man who in office by the people, and staggering numbers of new supporters.
She aught to be thankful, any other country would not put up with her wreckless behavior. Im an immigrant myself from Suisse, they would have had her hanging in the village town square.

I didn’t agree with a lot of what President Obama did, but I still respected his assertion to the most powerful position in the world, and always respected the office while he was there. Even now, I show him respect by still referring to him as President Obama.

Kathy Griffin used to scare me. I couldn't watch her comedy. It was nerve-wracking not knowing what she was going to say next. When she was going through the bad times I saw a vulnerability that most comedians keep hidden. (Robin Williams comes to mind)
Now I like Kathy. She's worked hard to come to terms with that time in her life although I doubt she will ever forget it. It's made her stronger and I suspect more compassionate and tolerant of others' weaknesses.
