    Great video,Tony. As a former mining and construction workshop manager, I enjoy your tripe to site. Most of my field work for many years was in PNG, Indonesia, Malaysia and a fractious part of Africa, I did field service for a major equipment manufacturer throughout SA and NT and worked on site in Meekatharra and Yandicoogina in the Nth West, before becoming a Perth workshop bloke for 10 years. Still miss the life of mining as it was always interesting, though I have been retired for 10 years. Take it easy and take care on tour travels around the North.

      I know that feeling mate, 10 years ago when I given up driving and took the manager role in Toll due to my family meter having two young daughters at the critical age I was missing the life on the road and when finally I got enough of working in the office and got back on the road was like I was reborn 👍👍👍

    Tony how does the mine transport the lead from the mine site?

    • @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq
      @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq  6 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Ross, it’s getting transported in special sealed 30 foot half height containers on road trains direct to port, before leaving site the truck is going in the wash bay to get decontaminated, all the debris and dust from the loading area is washed off, they’re taking very seriously the problem with contamination. The people that are working underground in the mine are tested regularly for the lead level in their blood, as soon as it is reaching certain level they are not allowed underground and they are assigned to a different duty above the ground until the level is back down.

    You were lucky at On the road to Abra that it didn't rain and also at Wubin on the way home, in and out, just like it should be. That new assembly area don't look any bigger than Wubin?.

      The existing one is not but my understanding is that this is for inbound, they are building a new one on the other side of the highway for outbound.🤷🏻

    Hi Tony once again thanks for your great vidios on your vidios we see a lot about our country a lot of people never see in there life time once again thanks for your effort making the vidios there are a few trucking channels on youtube in Australia they just don't to me put out the content you do or they just don't last on youtube thanks

    • @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq
      @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you Trevor, you need to be passionate about what you’re doing, if you’re doing this just to get some money from RUclips it’s not going to last unless you’re making a content that’s very popular with audiences. I don’t do that, I don’t do for the money, I do it to keep myself occupied when I’m out there and because it’s something that I like doing, I just show my real life on the road, the good days and the bad days, all the video clips are just put together with out being edited.

    Thats very fine dust powder, hangs in the air for ages. An aerial shot of your progress on a still day would look like a kms long train. Just as I am writing this you are commenting on the dust behind you going back at least 3 kms. The dust will get into everything. Hopefully you will not have to stop before you hit the black top

    • @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq
      @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq  6 месяцев назад +1

      I know, right, on the way there I needed to stop and as soon as I did the dust trail overtook me and had to wait about 5 minutes before I could get out of the cabin, it is insane how long it takes to move away from the road if not windy.

    Enjoy your videos greatly. I would have thought your company would have coughed up for a sat phone considering the remote places you go tp for emergency use. Do you carry an EPRB?

    • @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq
      @roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq  6 месяцев назад +1

      we do have a very limited amount of satellite phones but they are used by the drivers that go to Telfer and even more remote locations, the other we relay by communicating the departure time and estimated arrival time with control tower, not sure if it is really working since I never got stuck in area with no phone coverage at all.

      I know what you mean but unfortunately after the medical incident that I had 12 years ago the density of my maxillary bone was reduced drastically and caused my teeth to start falling off one by one and that caused my speech to become more unclear, just now it is getting stabilising and I can start soon working on implants, maybe after that the problem will disappear 👍👍👍

      @@roadtraindrivingwithtonyivanq thank you for your honest answer. I'm in the UK and have worked as a professional driver. The ability to reverse 3 trailors impresses and yes. The caravan overtaking another caravan on the hill was crazy! I thought central continuous white lines next to your lane is a clue? Mental drivers.

      @@reginaldbenstead5762 Yes, I know, a lot of clueless drivers on the road, biggest problem as I mention in the past are the new retired that were working in the city all their life and use public transport and second ones are the young heroes with small children in their car and towing a caravan as they use that car as a racing car not considering what can happen.

    Hi from an Australian who lives and works in France, i really do enjoy your chanel.I've got a strange question,as you're from Romainia living and working in Australia, i'm an Aussie who lives and works in France, we'd probably have similar expieriences mainly to do with the language/cultural barriers.It's funny but i still have a hard time understanding alot of things people say to me (i've been here 35 years),is it just me or is it an immigrant thing (or new Australian in your case),dunno,but it drives me crazy at times or i misunderstand completly,which at times can be troublesome,just wondering if you've gone through or go through the same thing,Australians are as rare as hens teeth over here,they do exist,but are very discreet.Great little chanel.

      Not really, it’s maybe because I was only 19 years old when I migrated to Australia and I lived all my life here, also when I left Romania, it wasn’t a very good place to live in, it was still a communist country and life was very hard, the true European culture was not that present, was the communist ideology that was suppressing everything and maybe for being so young I was able to embrace the Australian culture so easy.
