I was 23 when I first heard this song. Im now 42. This song has been in my head space ever since. I didnt know what it meant to me till now. I've been sober since 11.22.20. This song is my savior talking to me. Praise God!!!!!
CG! I just relapsed myself with a bad break up + child support. I will add this to a sober playlist, It is your perspective that I like, And you reminded me that we can see the cup half full or empty! One day at a time!
I was homeless when this came out and suffering from a bad tour of Afghanistan. I just missed a armoured landmine as I drove a schimitar light tank and my friends hit it. Messed with my head and this song came on for the first time and I can remember it was the first real emotion I had felt for a long time. I took CBT therapy and got cured. Music is so powerful ❤
This song takes me to a time and place that I’ve never been before, but somehow recognize. It brings about an urge to uncover all the mysteries in my life and in the universe, to analyze every point in time and space to the finest details, to experience every emotion felt by every sentient being from the dawn of creation to the end of reality… but knowing all of that is an impossibility leaves me both melancholy and accepting.
I sang this to my mom as she was dying. She found the imagery, sound and lyrics so beautifully moving that with her precious breath told me "Rena, when I go to heaven, I want to hear you sing. You sing more beautifully than any angel could." I lost her a few weeks ago, and I sang this, among other songs she held dear to her heart but this one, I felt most close to, because in my mind, this would be a lullaby she would have sang softly to me as I fell asleep in her arms. It hurts like hell to have lost a woman of beautiful mind, creative talent, and boundless optimism, so when I sing this whether at home or on stage, I feel her arms around me and whispering "I Love You, Rena" Even as I write this I'm trying so hard not to cry, because she was and is a beautiful and breathless pillar of supportive light that was so luminous, that brightened our cosmos. She had the most gorgeous and memorable voice...I hope I do her an ounce of dedication.
@@Alexander-gv1in Thank you, my friend, but no condolences required. She now is out of pain and confusion, suffering and with the God and Lord she worships. The birds came flying from underground flying at the speed of sound. The birds are speaking through flight because they are free with no restraints. The message is to not let anything hold you back if you try hard enough anything is possible. Isn't that an awesome message
this song is so amazing to me, not only do i hear it, i feel it too! i look at the lyrics and somehow i feel there's a deeper meaning to it, like chris martin experienced something very profound, and is beautifully explaining with words 😐
Something very comforting and beautiful about this song making me think of what may happen at the exact moment when one crosses over into the spirit realm. Absolute feeling of freedom from any and all earthly ailments, both physical and psychological that bind and trap us until our time comes.
Listening this during the quarantine, feeling an endless loneliness. It is 04:09 am, couldn't sleep. I have hope in the dawning, but things never change.
“ How long will I keep climbing on the side of this mountain of mine “ The ego is the mountain, while the peak is where subjectivity dissipates into objective clarity. Where all senses vibrate at the same frequency and you don’t have to try to live life, because life lives within you.
Hey, if you're seeing this message, it probably means you are alive. Yes... I said that! You are a wonderful human being. The universe is waiting for you to showcase your wildest talents, dreams and aspirations! Although we're living in unprecedented times, remain focus on the possibility that sooner or later, things will go back to normal and they WILL get better. With that said, keep safe, be bold and remember to never give up!
Setting expectations of “the world” waiting for you to shine?! No one…cares about what you’re going or when you break through…you’re doing it for yourself (and the close few who love and adore you), and that can be difficult to earn self-respect from your harshest critic . Don’t have to seek approval from people who give all of 5 seconds of thought about you…I spent 2 minutes writing this, so I care more about you than, lemme figure this out , 5 seconds divided by 2 minutes = 15 people points. So 15 people that respond will in turn touch another 20 people- and pretty soon you’ll have now shown “the world” that you’re are loved and the world does indeed care…ahhhh…the story of redemption.
I remember how I used to dance to this song to my dad and he always enjoyed it. Brings so many joyful memories & I get lifted each I listen to this particular track
So many songs I've been introduced to by my workplace. It's such a diverse range of different genres and decades! This song in particular stood out to me. Whenever I hear it over the intercom, I always go into a more relaxed state of mind. And taking a closer listen with headphones, it's like something else entirely. It's like the nostalgic tune I never listened to, and it's really cool! Thank you, Ollie's Bargain Outlet, for turning me on to a fantastic song!
this is really the magic coldplay has that no other artist can compete with, they have the power to make us feel nostalgic things, calm our frustrated minds.
This song brings back so many flashbacks.... Bell ringing, grabbing my things off my desk, putting my earphones in, starting this song and walking out the door. Walking the hallways with this song playing, covering up the voices of the groups of people talking around me, ignoring the stares. Opening my locker and putting my things in, ignoring the girls hanging out near my locker. Putting up my hoodie, ignoring the glances from strangers, and just walking out the front door as fast I could, and walking in the small wooded area near the school, looking at the sky and the branches moving, listening to this song. Wondering what the fuck i was doing there
The chorus my favorite part (WARNING: caps alert to show his insanely awesome falsetto) BIRDS GO FLYIN' AT THE SPEED OF SOUND TO SHOW YOU HOW IT ALL BEGAN!! BIRDS GO FLYIN' FROM THE UNDERGROUND IF YOU COULD SEE IT THEN YOU'D UNDERSTAND!!
Whenever someone asks me what's the role of bass guitar in rock songs, I always point them to this song, which has a very good build-up and really comes to life when the bass line kicks in.
It really won't fit the mood though. Imagine them playing such a meaningful and calming song on the Superbowl, where you play football, which involves hard play, tackling, and strength.
It's not that it's slow; It's just that it has a deeper, psychological meaning. A meaning to all of existence, science, human minds, blah blah blah big words. I just don't think it would fit a football game. That depends on you, I'm just stating my opinion here.
Well yea I know what the song is about I'm just saying they should of used it cause it was one of thier best songs they did but I get what you mean on the other hand.
I dont know what it is, but every time I hear Coldplay now in 2018 a sensation of longing, a sensation of time lost, a sensation of weirdness sets in... perhaps because their music was so remarkable when it came out. I still like it but a time will come when depression will set in for having those sensations...
