- In this video, I discuss the growing mental health crisis in America and the need to normalize the discussion involving mental health issues. To help support people dealing with mental health issues, I cover one of my favorite herbs for improving mental health: Mimosa.
If you struggle with anxiety, mental health issues, or insomnia, you are not alone. Modern society has left many of us living and working alone, no connection, no ceremonies, and with no sense of belonging. Science has shown that when humans are isolated they struggle mentally.
Please be gentle with yourself if you are struggling with depression or anxiety. Realize that the experience is not who you are but an effect of our modern society. Turn to Mimosa. I am confident that a strong connection with Mimosa will help you along your journey.
I am a beekeeper, and the honey from Mimosa trees is very tasty.
My husband and I keep bees and mimosa honey sounds good. We will be planting mimosa trees.
How do you harvest a honey from a mamarosa
I love mimosa. It’s the best mood lifter ever. It’s better than drugs. Better than pharmaceuticals and better than pot. Literally within 24 hours or less of taking it I can go from depths of despair to sunny and optimistic. It makes the things I was thinking about being so sad and upsetting seem like not a big deal. I love that it works so fast. And that I can take it when I need it because of that and then after a few weeks stop until I need it again. Sometimes I don’t for long stretches but then hit a rough patch and it’s there for me. It’s really awesome stuff.
What works for me even faster is 5-HTP. It is a supplement OTC. It can change my mood in a couple hours. It raises your Serotonin level. So until Mimosa begins to work. 5-HTP can come to the rescue more quickly. I take 200mg time release. Better than any anti depressant I've ever had.
How do you take Mimosa? Bark or flowers? If bark how do you prepare it?
She speaks truth. I have never heard of using Mamosa. But I am dealing with a heavy grief at the moment. So I’m going to visit this tree that’s growing wildly on the side of my house tomorrow and see what it has to say to me.
Have you tried it yet and if you have please share your thoughts 🙏🥰
I had no idea you could do this. I have a mimosa in my yard and I’m so excited to learn this.
Same! I have one in my backyard and thought oh that’s a pretty tree lol so before it stops flowering I’m definitely making tea! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I have one close to my house and have just planted some self seeded plants out in my garden. I’m excited with this info. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Did you make this last year?
If so, how did it help you?
I just fixed my first pint today. I'm excited.
I love this video! It was so informative! I have suffered from depression, anxiety and insomnia for years. I am so
excited to try this! I have 4 mimosa trees in full bloom in my backyard at the edge of the woods right now.
I can't wait to try this! Thank you so very much!
I just fixed a pint size jar.
They were hard to reach but tomorrow I'll have help to cut more Flowers to prep.
Me & my big brother use to climb them at my uncle's house it is a happy tree good climbing tree he passed away 11years ago
Great video! The broad scope you covered was very informative. I’ve definitely found Albizia flowers to be good for anxiety, just in a simple tea. Heads up to new foragers: be careful not to get the seed pods! They contain neurotoxins.
You said it moves the blood... sounds good for circulation issues too.!! How cool is that? Improve our mood and circulation at same time plus more! Thanks for the educational videos!! Will be on hunt for some mimosa flowers / tree of happiness thank you so much!!Much Love and Blessings!!!💜♥️🌿🌿
I hope you find some flowers! Thank you for the support!
Thank you for the kindness and grace you offered in this video. ✨ Oh. And daring greatly. Yesss!! I love that book myself. I've always been drawn to mimosa had a couple growing as a kid I picked out. I grew 2 and had no idea this tree was medicinal. I've always been drawn to plants and it's just starting to make sense. We are connected. I can sense their healing. Just wasn't fully listening. ✨🌱❤️ Thanks again for sharing such awesome info. You're a great life source w gentle force.
great stuff! This is a plant I haven't worked with yet.
Looks like your last video did really good btw!!
Thank you Sarge! You will love Mimosa! It is a great plant to get to know! The happy tree!
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for leaving a comment!
Yay! I love it!
Thank you Dianna! Happy Summer Break!
How long should you use this for anxiety and insomnia?
Add a drop or 2 of lemon and it will turn pink
Love it! Thanks for sharing.
@@WildherbswithApril You didn't mention how to prepare the bark of mimosa. Is it the same as tea?
Is this different from Mimosa Pudica? Are they the same plant?
I understand we're not supposed to wash the blossoms. But what can I do about the little tiny noseeums I see on the white parchment I have my blossoms drying on? I don't want to ingest the bugs. What does everyone here do about that?
I lay mine on a polyscreen sheet from the dehydrator and allow the bugs to vacate the flowers over night.
Then put the flowers on a new sheet and into the dehydrator
Just eat them too
@@normajeanslagel4633you dehydrate the flowers for what ? New to the subject and want all the info
Is st john's wort better than mimosa for mental health?
I am so pleased that you asked permission to remove a leaf from that tree that shows great respect is there somewhere online that I could purchase some mimosa tea? As far as I know we have no access to mimosa trees and Montana
None near me in Illinois either. I found what looks to be a good product on ebay.. Red Cardinal Store - "Albizia Bark (Silk Tree, Mimosa) Tincture Herb Extract Double Extraction". I will know more about it once I receive it. They shipped it within an hour of placing the order today.
You didn't mention how to prepare the bark for intake.
You can research that separately. Her video was not focused on that but others videos will ☺️
That's what om looking for
So what can you do with the leaves??
I read that you can eat the leaves, they are used as fodder for livestock in some countries.
EBay
Just read a study done on mice with the dried leaves ground into a power, the researchers were testing its effects against some antidepressant... And the results were a pretty good match to the prescription drug.
👍
Box do se soir with thé bark ? Do we have it to boil or just let it in water for a while?
How do you get thise tiny bugs out of the blossom.? I leave them to dry, and they are still around
I had to remove them by hand and put them in a mason jar until completed, and released them. I was a little squeamish picking the tiny inchworms out but I got over it after a bit 🙈🤣
I do teas from the flower fresh thank you lmk if you have suggestions I want to make an elixir with honey and wine and this
An elixir with honey sounds AMAZING!
Can you use it for schizophrenia?
Mine had yellowish and webs and the bark has small orange spots. Is it good?
Doesn't sound good to use.

Can I dry the flowers
I dry mine as well as tincture, IF I am able harvest enough.

Crazy how she assumed the gender of the plant. Maybe it s a female stamen. 🤡
What ARE you reading? Look at the camera please...its annoying...😂
Yes, mental health is AWFUL, and ppl NEED to look to herbs as was intended
