For more severe oxidized headlights, I start with Bon Ami, then I move to the toothpaste which, serves as a finer abrasive. I move to fine sandpaper when I feel no resistance while sanding. @@sr4865 i guess those are simple lights, not the curved ones of modern cars. I suspect you know little how expensive modern glass headlights would be and those you list are from 3rd world countries without any consideration to safety.
@@theDudeknows if something is better, why can't it be brought back. The glass doesn't fade like plastic ones. I used to ride KTM DUKE 390 which had glass headlight which was so much better, helpful compared to headlight of plastic in 4 Wheeler which used to be tough especially in rainy season.
sure it works, but it will only last until the first wash or a day or two in the sun, then the headlights will have a matte appearance. I recommend polymerization, polish or varnish after the sanding process. It will last much longer, up to 2 years, depending on how long the headlights stay under direct sunlight and how strong the solutions you use to clean the car are.

What was the Gel?
I remember when headlights were made of glass. They were brighter and cheaper too. And let's not forget a lot easier to replace and adjust.
And left glass shards on the highway after an accident.
A lot easier to replace? All you have to do is turn the bulb out put a new one in and and no adjustment needed.

From Canada. from what iam told it works but you must coat with UV sealer or it will not last very long

Just sand them down and re clear them. It’s the laquer clear the manufacturer uses on headlight
