⚠⚠⚠SPOILERS ⚠⚠⚠ We did double check on the interaction between Opposition Agent and Finale of Devastation and were given the wrong ruling based off of a Gatherer ruling for similar but not quite the same scenarios: If a spell or ability instructs an opponent you control to search multiple zones including the library, you decide what cards they find in all zones. They'll exile all cards they find in any of the zones. (2020-11-10) As some of you are mentioning in the comments, it was indeed possible for Leite to choose to search his graveyard only, and therefore the Opposition Agent's replacement effect wouldn't be taken into account. Hopefully this didn't affect the outcome of the game! :)
It had no impact in the game, but Leite could've chosen to search only his graveyard (even if it's empty) with Finale of Devastation to avoid Opposition Agent's control effect.
Shanna looked good, but I'm a bit confused by the Force of Will in the decklist -- there's 10 other blue cards in the whole deck, and most of them are other counterspells. Is the idea to fully tap out to fill your hand and rely on free counterspells only?
Yeah, in a fully tuned version of Shanna, the idea would be to lean your interaction suite as close to 0 cmc as possible, so you can utilize her ability as much as possible. 3 (or more) cards is quite a lot, and it's easy to sandbag a blue card for FoW. And in the oposite case, where we draw FoW first, we can more confidently tap to draw off Shanna to dig for the card to pitch for it
Not sure if I'm missing something, but can't the reckless fireweaver block so the damage isn't lethal? I don't think it would have mattered in the end due to the lifegain, but could've maybe helped
Baal considered that, but then he would be relying on topdecking a land to have the third mana available, and Face-Breaker was his plan to generate mana and "card-draw".
@@SplitSecond both options ditch a land and has the other option on the bottom of the deck. None would keep you with a hand larger than the other option. Whilst the land is not gonna get hit by so many played cards (ouphe, culling ritual, ...)
Yes, you can search only the library, only the graveyard, or both. If you choose to search only the graveyard, Opposition Agent's effect doesn't apply.
That was thought, but the deck didn't have many though. While the deck used the pirate as a payoff, it actually has other payoffs in different shapes, that's why it ended up being cut out

Can we decide on where to search during resolving the effect? Or it should be announced during casting?
@@wirakirros7281 Resolution. You don't have to announce it until you go to search.
Hoo boy, these commanders are looking really interesting. Gruul artifacts seems pretty spicy
That Angel of Destiny was awesome! That’s got me itching to build around it
So glad someone is playing Meria!
I fell in love with that Commander, mixing that archetype with those colours seemed like a very interesting idea
Got a feeling a lot of people are playing Meria
Literally all of these commanders are so good
Woah, was not expecting that card to win the game
I sometimes brought that card in my Aurelia deck. Never thought I would get to watch it win a game on a screen.
oh yeah, team meria ✌🏻
i'm building an stax deck for her 👀
This game was bonkers! GG!!
In Meria
Paradise mantle is essentially a true mox emerald
Because it can equip itself to a creature and still produce mana when meria is gone
Great game!!

Correcting this on a pinned post :)
Holy moly! thats not a win I thought Id see! lovely! Keep up the great content!
OMG, that Leite guy is so good 😱😱

Bought an Angel of destiny after that game for my bruse ikra deck. What a sweet card

He was being attacked for 40+ damage, fireweaver blocked the commander just because, but wasn't enough :)
3:47 I believe facebreaker triggers once
It triggers once for each player dealt damage :)
@@SplitSecond ohhh, thanks for the clarification
Great video as always, did you ever get tired of announcing those rhystic triggers ? Lol
Triggers on cast are the worse! That's why we avoid playing Krark decks! xD
I would love to see more Krark Sakashima 🎲🎲🎲
Mox diamond < gemstone. Just ditch the land you were gonna ditch to mox to gemstone, and bottom gemstone.

I think finale gets passed opposition if you choose the graveyard
thats what i was thinking too, you can choose the modes as graveyard only i believe

Meria deck could have benefitted from some keen sense effects on those pingers

Do you have the list of Meria?
It is in the description of the video :)
