It was a pretty awesome place! Sooo much to see, we’ll definitely have to go back! 😊 Thank you so much for watching again and we will see you for next week’s German vs English video!
Lovely to see you enjoy the town and most of all to see you check out Greenwich. Not enough tourists get there. I'm from London originally and I love all the museums in Greenwich. I took Baz down there for a visit this year myself. Happy trails.
Aye, that is the Tower of London alright. I`ve walked right next to it and totally ignored it - on the grounds that I had an interview close by and was rather nervous on the day, notwithstanding the outcome would not see my head fifty yards away from my feet ( or, rather, I wouldn`t see my feet fifty yards away ). `Not the best burger,` but pound to a penny by far the most expensive the lass has ever had. `Been to London many times. Too many times, and still haven`t seen the main gates to Buckingham Palace. But there are `as good as` places / cities / towns and villages to go over here. I`ve been to a few major European Cities, and they are all fascinating. One `quirk` of Valencia, Spain, I noticed is that their 19th Century Townhouses ( huge homes, in general m) have their door - knockers about 9ft above the pavement. I wondered, why ? and it turns up that a visitor to the house would normally arrive on horseback. They only need rise a little from the saddle and hit with the door-`bell.` `Only been over there ( over the Atlantic Ocean Sea ) twice. Once to New York City, and once to Mexico City.
After the tower of London being the tallest for centuries, it was actually the victoria tower (other square tower part of parliament building) that then became the tallest ... Quote from parliamentuk: "The Victoria Tower is the tallest tower in the Palace of Westminster. Named after Queen Victoria, it was for many years the tallest and largest stone square tower in the world, with a height of 98.5 metres (325 feet)". 🇬🇧
I`m not quite sure why one has to return the Oyster Card in the end. If you want to keep it, then what is to prevent you ? I know that on many cards it says that "This card remains the Property of......" But Transport for London is hardly going to employ MI6 to recover its cards. I remember seeing a chap from Pennsylvania being rather disappointed that he didn`t get his passport stamped at Heathrow Airport, London, as he entered the UK. I advised him that the next time he comes here, just ask Immigration to stamp one of the pages in his passport. I`m sure they`ll be more than happy to do that. This is England.
It's called the tower of London because back in the day it towerd over the buildings that were a lot smaller then some only single storey the locals called it the tower then the name stuck
being a kid in the 80s and my dad (rip) never wanting a home telephone for some reason always used the famous red box telephones which at that time were around every corner, I remember the doors for me at least were really hard to open, my sister actually got here fingers trapped in one but luckily nothing serious, then once inside they had this unusual odour, which I later found out was urine, also the glass was always broken and if they had the phone book in which was rare as they were constantly set fire too, they later replaced almost all of these with a modern for the time completely glass design that was just ugly, even to this day there is one remaining red box phone booth in my local city for some reason and yes it still smells and has the glass constantly broken.
Oyster cards issued from 23 February onwards, the £5 deposit will automatically be returned as pay-as-you-go credit one year after activating the card. This means you won't have to do anything to get the money back, and won't have to wait until you no longer need the card to get a refund.
Wow that Palace looks AMAZING! Enjoyed the video..and YES I want merch! 😁
It was so pretty!! 😍 and awww we’ll have to get you some soon!! ☺️

Henry viii’s favourite wife was not Anne Boleyn. It was Jane Seymour - she was his next wife after Anne and the mother of his son, Edward.
Ahhh haha thank you for letting us know! Interesting!

The tower of London was the tallest building in London for centuries until the modern office blocks were built
And Tower Bridge of course
Ahhhh yes, this makes sense!

I live where this started. You needed to go to VS Vinotecha Social opposite Lewisham Station. Why - cos my mate owns it !
I've lived in Lewisham all my life, not the best borough in London, but glad you seemed to like it!
Oh no way! We thought it was so pretty there, and very close to the city of London! ☺️
It's called the tower of London because back in the day it towerd over the buildings that were a lot smaller then some only single storey the locals called it the tower then the name stuck
Ahhh that’s interesting and would make sense! Thanks for the comment and for watching this video 😊

Why people don’t watch travel vlogs these days

you don’t need to wear a silly 😷 you know. Not in England. I never ever did. Common Sense surely tells you to throw it away.
