1)Watch what u spend 2)Spend money to make money 3)Invest in multiple things 4)work for someone who is financially literate 5)buy a house for 4 million dollars
Another thing to consider is yes he may get 2-4%, but in order the sale that much. You have other salesman closing deals. I’m Assuming Ryan is the broker at this point. When his agents close a deal at 2%, his agent most likely makes 70% of that 2% commission and they should. Ryan will get around a 30% split of the 2% as the broker. So unless he is single handily closing those deals. He will need to sell more like $200M a month as a broker to make that kind of money. That’s how it really works.
The power of showing up - as a manager at a large global firm, I thanked a millennial employee for doing something I asked and she replied, “You’re thanking me for doing my job?” Yeah. Because that’s how hard it is now to get people to just show up.
Love your videos with a passion. You’re a true inspiration to strive to be & do better. I’m a Dreamer here in the US. I come from Mexico but already own my own house & just started my own business. Bigger & better things for the future!
His dad is a multi-multi millionaire and was Vice Chairman of one of the top 5 asset managers in the world. He attended elite boarding schools and colleges. Self-made is a bit of a stretch.
This might sound kinda weird but I’m 14 about to turn 15 this summer and I think that it’s good that I’m learning about this stuff at such a young age bc I want to do better in life and actually get somewhere
Cedrick Hall 3 - It might BE kinda weird, as in something few people do, but it's whip smart. I am coming up 60 years old, and just starting. Think of that if you ever doubt your early wisdom: use my experience as a cautionary tale. Learn about the magic of compound interest FIRST, and make early and consistent use of it. Check out Robert Kiyosaki, if you haven't already. Way to go, I love your vision.
Would love to see a video based on your first few years in NY and the struggles you had to overcome. I feel like a lot of successful people speak about the struggles they are going through now but rarely speak about that 2-5 year period where every single day was a struggle and they felt like giving up. Maybe include your first few apartments that you lived in when you first moved, etc. I'm moving to NYC in 2 weeks and will be in a sales role so this would be a super helpful video not just for me but others as well I believe
Incredibly open of you to share so much, as you say no one talks about money. I talk with my clients all day about their money & their life goals so find it difficult when I go outside of that client/adviser space when no one openly talks about this stuff. Thank you.
I'm always so excited to click on your videos! Very few on RUclips are putting in this type of effort to actually offer value to their subscribers. Every video of yours has a positive motivational theme and is littered with actionable knowledge in it -- so for that I say thank you!
I cannot stop thinking about money. I don’t know about you, but after I finish high school I’m planing on studying and hustling all day, until my dreams come true. I’m a straight A student and I’ll keep the same attitude forever. I bet on myself and my passion about working and striving!
I’m amazed at your speech skills.. how you manage to motivate me without sounding like a lame RUclips coach... I’m still trying to figure out though... seeking in my life the opportunities I can explore so I’m out of being up against the wall. Don’t get me wrong, I get your point: when you’re in discomfort you trigger your survival mode and there’s no better drive than that. However.. being too up against the wall, or being there because it was an imposition from life is not healthy. I’ve never lived any other way... I alone take care of my disabled mom while trying to have a successful career and pay the bills... let me tell you, it gets terribly exhausting hustling everyday. It triggers anxiety, leads to depression... I want a way out and am committed to doing the work because life should be more than just surviving.
Watching this is was clear to me that you immediately became anxious after you had mentioned how much you were making on a monthly basis. People wouldn’t be paying attention if you weren’t, and you wouldn’t have the opportunities to teach and provide for yourself and family if you weren’t. Don’t concern yourself with judgment based on the amount of money you make, YOU WORKED FOR THIS. All the best!
Love all of your videos! I work w college students to help them develop their professional and personal goals, including financial literacy. We started watching your videos during our weekly meeting and discussing the content, and they love it! Most of my students will go on to careers in STEM but we all can gain from your messages and ideas. So, thank you & your team for putting out content that’s informative and entertaining!
Great video Ryan! Good to see and hear someone talking honestly for a change. I firmly believe that nothing in this world is free. Too many youngsters today EXPECT free this and free that. They simply don't understand the concept of hard work. The men and women who attend your talks are the go-getters this world needs to thrive. Keep these inspirational videos coming and thanks again for your honesty!
Great comment! You're right. Something about not being able to get tough and discipline our children anymore. So now they cannot stand up to bullies without shooting up the whole school. We never had one school get shot up by a lone student gunman back in my youth. Kids also don't understand delayed gratification, for the very same reason: Piss poor parenting. Working for what you want, even if it takes years, is just not something this new generation is willing to accept and do, thus the skyrocketing crime rate, suicide rate, and increase in school shootings. Little kids call CPS on their parents (using their own cell phones), if given a time-out that they disagree with getting. You can forget assigning them evening chores. They'll look at you like you went crazy and go back to playing PS2/Xbox.
The way that you speak, those addresses that you could remember just told me that all your story is based on experience rather than made up which made you a really tough guy. Pure respect.
Thanks Ryan for your candor. I just started watching your vlog and I’m enjoying it. My wife and I visited NY city for the first time last week and loved it. Great city!
the power of "stick-it-ive-ness" is real, i've come along way in following through on my word + continue to open up/build a life for myself because of it... i found a job i love, my first own apartment, a great relationship + friendships that are building with value/depth rather than just a wknd of partying... also i'll take a signed book! haha
I really like what you're doing Ryan, you're clearly a go getter who has started from the bottom and become very successful. Something I would like to emulate. I highly respect the fact how you talk so openly about your wealth, props to you for that, keep this up
Let me know what state I should visit soon, I also want to send someone a signed book. 😉

*_The POWER of showing up_* is half the battle. It's cliche, but what's you're in a position to start then the momentum of action takes over
Listening in, I was like, '75 million a year, wow impressive', then I heard the bomb: per month...
in sales, he gets a 2-4% comission, now do note thats a shitload of money a month 1.5m to 3m

@@talkoftheyoc Good insight. I was wondering about this.
haha I thought the same exact thing.
@@talkoftheyoc Yes. But lets not forget about his sidehustles, investments, social media & marketing.
I could listen to Ryan talk on a stage all day. All of his knowledge & wisdom hits me the most when he's talking to a crowd, if that makes sense.
