What I like about snk games, is that their more down to earth then other franchises. Witch not only makes the more fantastic stuff have more impact, it it makes everything feel more believable. Other series do often romanticize and dramaize everything, and I think about other love interests in other fighting games, with all of the will they, won't they stuff, or the love interest is pushed into the background. But Mary isn't some princess from another realm, or is she a star crossed lover, nor is she stuck between two love interests. No, she and Terry just met one day, and got off great with eachother, and go drinking, bowling, and watch movies together, like a normal relationship. That's why I like this couple so much, it feels real, and grounded, without being overdramatic.
