I’m an Occupational therapist assistant with 13 years experience and was an assistant to the DOR. I see a lot of jobs for U/R but for musing can a OTA break into the field? And do I need a certification in U/R help or not.
Hi Billy, you dont need w certification although its a very popular non clinical career and as result is pretty competitive so any extra education does help different you not only in the resume but also in the interview. Assistants can get these roles and we have had our students get these roles as assistants but you have to know the right companies and titles and it is competitive, this is a helpful guide www.alternativehealthcarecareers.com/blog/how-to-become-a-utilization-reviewer-rehabiliation-professionals
Best money I have spent on this course. Highly recommend if you are looking to shift to non clinical.
Thank you so much, your kind words mean so much! I really appreciate it!
