Still the best tutorial on RUclips, simple, efficient and effective what more do you need.

Great tutorial, you should note that almost no high level grapplers will go down on a snapdown. They expect and resist it when ever they feel a collar tie. This does work on lesser seasoned wrestler though.

This is great, thank you to Preston for the details and to you for being a trooper! I'm glad to hear that you're all for neck cranks. I would love to see more neck crank videos!

yeah i love neck cranks. i swear im the only one who teaches them way down here in tassie. i saw guys winning EBI with 'rear naked chokes' that were all poorly executed jaw locks or neck cranks. its like when white belts don't have proper choke technique and they just squeeze the head as hard as they can. i just wish there wasn't such a stigma about them. it's like leglocks were 15 years ago. hopefully things change

Hopefully one day they'll be accepted as much as leg locks are. It did get a little more attention from the Khabib/Connor fight.

I've wondered just how good of a grappler somebody would/could be if they trained seriously in both Judo and Catch for a few years. Seems to be like that could be a very tough combo to beat. Although catch looks pretty impressive to me.

Hey...great site! You can see your friend's probably one hell of a competitor and a nice guy so don't take this personal, just an old Catch wrestler tryin' to pass on what I've learnt. One bit of advice on his snap down. It's all good except he snaps down to the same side. Serious mistake against any well trained Catch wrestler from the schools of Billy Robinson and Roy Woods. With a same side snap down the defender can take a body lock trapping the headlock arm, sky you ass over tea kettle onto your head with no arm to break your fall. The neck crank could be done far more efficiently too by keeping chest to chest and his back flat on the ground. I used to get this tap with 2-3 inches of neck flexion max with the head in max rotation via the chin strap. Trick is to keep the edge of your lats/ribs high up on his clavicle and only flex the rotated cervicals not the thoracic spine. All the Best & keep up the good videos, I think yours are the best ones on the web. Keep real wrestling alive! Cheers, Kol Martens

Thank you for your advice. Please understand there are many ways and we do snap downs both ways. The way shown is the more common method and it cannot be countered by a body lock when the attacker sprawls and keeps his head under the chest and ribs. I call it “cross feeding” when you snap the head to the opposite side. Many ways to skin a cat. Thanks for watching!

Watch it postal!! We, here on the interweb, bees a mighty tough bunch. Like me, for instance, I can armbar you with my throat if you had me in a rear naked choke so don't try to any of dem shananigans on me. You tries tuz neck crank me & you'll end up with a broken crank. I don't shows the videos hows tuz doos it because it's too dangerous for you commoners. I was a secret ninja marine delta force CIA, KGB commando internet guerilla. But nice video. xD

Guys plz stop making good vids on the kind of nasty shit ice filmed over the years. I like to get the guy turned more flat on back so it is gravity not your arm...timing getting the tap. See my front headlock series, kill the underhook, and even my first cobra neck crank vid going back to 2009.
