There is no way Masai is doing a deal with the Knicks for OG. You're delusional to even mention it. There's NOBODY on the Knicks that would have any value for Toronto. What are you sending back our way?
The Raptors are the team to watch out for when it comes to Mitchell. It makes perfect sense. Everyone says well he doesn’t play D, he’s undersized and all that. Idk, I think his résumé speaks for it’s self and he’s only 25 with a few years left on his deal. The Raptors have what the Jazz want. I’m sorry, Toppin, and Fournier don’t get the deal done. I get it. It’s more about picks. But at the end of the day, you can’t take either of those or whatever else they add for salary and flip them for 1st round picks. Just not possible. Gary Trent Jr, and OG on the other hand?? You could easily do as that. Say it’s both, out of those 2 players you could get at max 3 first. Out of what the Knicks offer is, you can’t get anything near a first. And that’s facts. Remember, at the end of the day the Jazz want to tank for either Victor or Scoot. Cause they know there is a good chance either of them cause turn your franchise around and be attractive for FA’s coming. So the Jazz wanna win the least amount as possible. No reason to be competitive. The Hornets have no one, the Wizards have no one. And the only other team you could say is Miami, but they need to keep their team together cause they can’t really afford to lose more than what they’d receive. It’s gonna be down to Toronto or NY. If the Jazz wanna get most or the farthest extent and the most for their future Toronto has the most reasonable logical offer if Masai puts it on the table.
Trading OG and GTJ away will hurt the team more than help it. Depth was one of the major reasons why the Raptors got eliminated in the post-season. Having no depth all season long = playing starters for 40 mins a night = injuries leading up to the post season. Getting rid of two starters significantly hurts the depth of the team. Mitchell is not worth that, and I don't care if he scores 25 PPG. Remember the team still has Barnes, Fred and Siakam. You can't have a guy shooting 20+ FGA and 10+ 3 pointers a game while having those 3 on the team.
@@bobcharlie1666 you don’t have to trade away both. If you can move either OG or Gary, then move Malachi, Svi, and Birch. That can get it done. Could easily just move one. Either of those players are better than what NY has offered. Utah wants to lose. So getting players back like Svi, Khem, and Malachi help that cause. Simply they add very little to any team they are on. My best deal if im Toronto is Gary, Svi, Khem, and Malachi’s + 3 first. They can take Gary, trade him for a first or 2, and filler players that im assuming one would have a movable contract and 2 other bench pieces. So Toronto could easily get it done. It’s up to Masai if he wants it done. The Raptors don’t need Birch, Svi, and Malachi. They don’t ever play. Wasted space on the team. Plus Mitchell adds offense that they lacked last year. It’s a great deal for Toronto.
@@DarianMilliken219 Umm no it's not. You do understand that the salaries have to match right? Trading just one of GTJ or OG with bench players is not going to satisfy the trade. Mitchell signed a $163,000,000 contract last year with the Jazz and is a UFA in 2026 which is 4 years from now. OG has roughly $56,000,000 left on his contract. GTJ has roughly $36,000,000 left on his contract. The Raptors would need to trade both and fillers plus multiple first round picks picks to get the Jazz to stay interested.
Trading with Danny Ainge to acquire Mitchell's services is the worst thing Toronto could do. We all know Masai Ujiri is better than that. Mitchell doesn't really match Toronto's gritty underdog mentality anyway. When the Jazz were constantly disappointing in the Playoffs Mitchell is just like "no no, blame Gobert, that's fine by me." Dude wants all the shine but none of the responsibility that comes with it.
I mean Donovan carried their offense just as much as Gobert carried their defense it was their supporting casts and coaching that should’ve got the blame
@@Bandicoot19 There's enough blame to go around. But Mitchell being touted as the franchise player deserves most of it because Gobert (while not a focal point of their offense) still contributed by rebounding 11rebs and averaging 13pts on 66% FG in the playoffs over 6 seasons. Mitchell just doesn't contribute on Defense. So if you compare them side by Mitchell deserves more blame because he was only contributing on Offense.
@@09lowkey I’m of the camp that Rudy was Utah’s best player but honestly yes your right there is enough blame to go around but I don’t think much should be pinned on either. Though they are polar opposites playstyle wise the best archetype of player to put beside both would’ve been 3&D and yet the FO decided to only have 1 of those guys on their roster
@@Bandicoot19 I agree, I think Rudy was their best player as well. It was a bad system, in addition, while Mitchell wouldn't pass the ball to Rudy on offense (not Rudy's fault) Mitchell also didn't play Defense (also not Rudy's fault). Mitchell... nahhh I'm shooting this, how many times did we see that happen? That's why I think Mitchell deserves more blame than Rudy. Rudy was average on Offense, Mitchell was below average on Defense, so Mitchell doesn't have the same case as Gobert does.
@@09lowkey I was an avid preacher that they should’ve pushed hard to get Lonzo Ball when he was a free agent would’ve been the perfect player to pair next to both of those guys especially Gobert. another guy I wanted them to go after was Herb Jones in the draft who is know a top 3 wing defender in the league they didn’t get either but even then they could’ve went after guys like Jerami Grant, Kenrich Williams, Otto Porter, Thad Young, PJtucker, Pat Bev they didn’t do any of that.
Trading for Mitchel makes no sense for Toronto. Our team is not there to fill up the stocks of draft hoarders. We are on the cusp of contention and took a major step forward last year when we beat vegas odds by 12-16 games! We gave up one 1st (#28) for Kawhi. It was a fair trade as we won the Championship. If the Jazz thinks there are other teams like the wolves, good luck to them and feel sorry for NYC if they trade their future for Mitchel. Still it makes more sense for them
Well KD to Toronto was very realistic before he agreed to stay with the Nets. It was reported before the Raptors were interested in Mitchell and the Jazz had interest in OG, and Gary. The Raptors lacked tons of scoring this last year. Nothing shocking here on why the Raps are brought up and tied to Mitchell
Mitchel isn’t a good fit for Toronto because he plays zero defence and their backcourt would be too short with Vanvleet and him. Nurse is not the type of coach that would tolerate Mitchell’s comical effort on D
Raptors won't make the same kind of trade that Minnesota made for Gobert. There is only 2 guys on the table for Mitchell on the Raptors roster (Trent Jr. and VanVleet). Raptors would be nuts to move their best defender and most versatile guy for Mitchell. Trading Mitchell and keeping VanVleet would create prolly the worst backcourt in the NBA. 2 guys who are undersized for their position. Mitchell in a backcourt minus VanVleet with Trent is solid. So the Jazz have to be willing to take VanVleet and prolly throw ins with a draft pick for Mitchell. If I am the Raptors, I give up Trent to help the Knicks get Mitchell while squeezing out RJ Barrett to Toronto in the deal.
Can Mitchell be forced to give more effort, ANY effort on defence, and take less of a role on a teams offence and move the ball more? Would he still average 25 ppg and be a net positive in the playoffs?

Toronto is going to have the best starting 5 with Fred VanVleet, Donovan Mitchell, Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, and Marcus Camby in the middle.
Oh ya Marcus is going to be mvp
Don’t Forget Mighty Mouse 🤣🤣🤣
My theory is Gary Trent is a better player then Mitchell.
Oh my God😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just trade him to the Knicks already 🤦🏾♂️
At least the raptors can build a championship team not like other teams like the Knicks
Nets fans still want Scottie Barnes in this deal
I propose vanvleet for mitchel final offer
Lmao this is a really funny report. They are like, “He probably is going to play in manhattan but if not he’s going to play in toronto” Lmfao
Donovan Mitchell does not move the needle for the Raptors. Tired of hearing the Raptors being linked to him. Move on.
Agreed
Raptors would win the offseason with a trade like that and it would give them a bonafide star/superstar
Donovan Mitchell is no supertar. He is an efficient volume shooter w/ no defence. Masai is only trading our impactful players if the player can help us win another 🏆. We are on the right path w/ who we have.
@@mollyweir9350 I mean it’s a superstar or two in the league right now that you can describe the same way
They have three stars already idiot
@@mollyweir9350 *volume 3 level scorer who’s shown he can play D in the right situations. But Gary Trent Jr is an impactful player to you right🤢
Mitchell doesn't fit their culture. They're a scrappy young team, Mitchell is a diva who wants all the shine and none of the responsibility. DeRozan wasn't sacrificed so Mitchell can avoid accountability in postgame press conferences. The dump truck didn't flop his way to a championship for this. Mitchell aint it, I'm sure Masai doesn't want him.
News flash…Wondhorst knows nothing about the Raptors.
I think if Toronto wants him they can swoop in and get him Donovan on the raptors makes them a ECF threat and with inner growth makes them a contender he fits so well with what they lack and I couldn’t imagine a better coach for him than Nick Nurse
Teams will never go far in the playoffs Mitchell taking all those shots and playing zero defence. How good is he really if forced to take less of an offensive role, move the ball more, and actually give some effort on defence?
I think we should trade for Kevin Porter Jr. (Dumb take?)
The Knicks make me sad😥
The Magic should trade for Mitchell
The 2nd episode of House of the Dragon has already been leaked over 12 hours before they show it on Pacific time. It's good. I think Milly (Rhaenyra) had the best acting in it.
What tf, where did that come from? The casting was awful for that new show, absolutely rubbish
Out of the blue comment.
No one asked and most importantly, no one cares.
I feel the raptors are the sleeper everything
Fact
This is so dumb, OG fits the Raptors system Donovon Mitchel does not. Why on earth would we want him.
Send him to New York Knicks, he worth more to them.
You wouldn’t want a guy who’s averaged 30 ppg multiple different playoff series
He plays zero defense we don't want mitchell
If you wanna win a ring you put scottie Barnes on the table, this is t 34 year old KD this is 25 year old Mitchell. 25 yo superstar , for that Scottie Barnes should be expendable
I think the plan is to win a chip with Barnes, you have to be out of your mind to think landing Mitchell helps Raptors win a chip. He is defensive liability, he is not winning a chip with anyone.
Barnes will be way better than Mitchell watch.
@@ozz7602 let's wait til they go head to head, LMAO, Barnes is two way player. Donovan is a liability. If he has any real value he wouldn't be on the trading block.
mitchell is not a superstar
@@HKashaf van vleet Mitchell siakim og, with the supporting cast there could very much come out the east under nick nurse. Now if I could use siakim and og with picks and keep Barnes with Fred and get Mitchell ID do that as well
American media is just out here suggesting trades that would only hurt the Raptors. Best if you ya'll zip 🤐 it.
Getting someone who’s averaging 29 ppg would hurt what exactly
NOOOOOOOO WE DONT WANT NO D GUYS!!!! WE BUILDING SOMETHING SPEACUAL LIKE 04 PISTONS!
Donovan Mitchell will NEVER reach the NBA FINALS.
Everything Tim Botnick has to stay about Toronto is complete garbage.
Yo I am a nobody but I am nobody who knows that ESPN should stop talking about basketball which this clout bs I try to find a way to block their account so I can't see anything they put out but it won't let me stop talking about nba and leave it to the Dan Patricks and the Inside the NBA
WE AINT GETTING MITCHELL THIS IS RUBBISH TALK
NO DEFENCE!!!!!
Toronto has assets to do but won't.
Donovan not a winner
stop using raptors name to make players look better and more interesting than they are. move along
terrible trade
Nope. Mitchell is undersize.
Don't Want him
Donovan mitchell to TORONTO would be crazy but I doubt he would want to go there TORONTO has worst weather than Utah
Winter Culture is different. A rich person in Toronto will have 0 problems. Toronto, Chicago, New York, Detroit have pretty much the same weather.
@@mikhail6884 I stay in detroit bro and we hate our weather toronto has worst weather and worst winters than detroit and have you ever watched demar derozan on all the smoke ? He talked about going from Compton to TORONTO and it being cold asf when he got there and he couldnt deal with it until he got his first nba check 💯😂
@@mikhail6884 bro toronto is compared to New York as far as the city and environment not the weather 💯😂 New York has better summers than TORONTO what are you talking about ?
You tell me which part of Toronto winter is worst than Utah. Have you been to Toronto? Stop spreading lies on the internet. Toronto is a much better city than majority of these NBA cities in the U.S.
@@mollyweir9350 toronto winter sucks lmaoo and yes I been there plenty of times , I literally stay a hour away from TORONTO
The guy explaining the trade looks tired of talking about this Donovan trade. Hands holding his head up the whole time.
