Hi Eric ! I'm a French Big C survivor and I have been watching all your videos. They are fascinating, mesmerizing even ! I went trough Chemo so I can relate to the people you have met and helped, and I'm sure your presence meant so much for them ! Your experience in life is absolutely unique, it's as captivating as a Victor Hugo novel. Thank you so much for sharing it all with all of us.
Congratulations on winning the battle! I lost my mother to lung cancer last year. It's definitely not an easy fight. I am glad you are here and with us! Thank you for your kind words. It makes me happy when my experiences impact others in a positive way. Sometimes the most valuable thing you can give to others is yourself. Thank you for watching. Stay strong!
Thanks for another great video and for sharing your personal experiences. I love your channel and I'm always stoked when I see you made another video. YEAH!
New sub... I've worked in a private jail in the past and have seen what you've talked about in these 1st 2 videos... A lot of the workers are a**Holes... They make it bad for the inmates just trying to do their time and go home. Sad...
That's true. There are some inmates that also make it hard for the workers who just want to collect a check and go home. Respect and some common decency goes a long way in interactions between officers and prisoners. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
Takes a special person to take care of dying people. I took care of my mom who passed from cancer. It was a full time commitment. I hate that all went down for you that way because I know there was some bonds made.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother. It's rough to watch people you care about go through that. I think it really taught me some important things about life and humanity though. I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything, as difficult as they were.
Thanks bro I appreciate it. Losing your job in the infirmary did more damage than they know. I feel sorry for those patients by not being able to have tge support team they would of had on the outside. Much respect for the care you we're giving them. I'm tripping out on motorcycle boy. I would think killing someone in an accident and walking around saying he's a killer in a prison environment definitely could end up being even a bigger mistake.
I ended up going back into the infirmary with a therapy dog and a guitar to help those guys out eventually. They'd get to play with the dog and I played music for them. It was pretty cool. I ended up moving back to U-Dorm after I got my electrician job and motorcycle boy checked in.
Great video, brother. Dude, you have a gift for storytelling. Very captivating. At the conclusion of the video, I thought to myself that it felt like the video was very short... Maybe only 3 or 4 minutes. So I looked at the timer bar and realized that nearly 20 minutes had passed by. I am looking forward to your next post. Dude, do you know what really differentiates you from the other 'RUclips prison channels', imo? It isn't just that you are brilliant and most of the other dudes are borderline 'special',...it is that you made the best of your prison stay. You made the best of your bad situation. You worked...you learned multiple skills and trades...you taught yourself how to play guitar,....you educated yourself..and most importantly, you got your head on straight. Instead of wasting your time on trying to become a better criminal, being a dreamer, being delusional and wacking off at the thought of being the next big, famous rapper (I think that I just summed up the mindset of the typical current-day inmate quite well), you bettered yourself. I have a great deal of admiration for you, my friend. Respect from Canada. Michael
Thank you, Michael. That means a lot to me. I didn't want my time to be wasted. I wanted and still want to make the best use of my time no matter where I find myself. It taught me a lot about what people are capable of achieving. Hard work, determination, and the right mindset can transform your life. Thank you for watching, brother.
Eric, excellent as always. There are three jobs that truly prepare an individual for REAL life in the REAL world: (1) Prison inmate, (2) prison guard, (3) debt collector. You have graduated from the University of Hard Knocks with a MS in Applied Prison Studies. The sky is the limit!
I'm a nurse in a nursing home. Giving those sick men your time meant more than you will ever know. They needed you physically and mentally. Ty for that. Time is more valuable than material items.
I would say that I needed them as much as they needed me. They taught me a lot of meaningful things about the human experience. They gave me purpose and a sense of direction when I needed it most. I'd go back and sit with those guys in a heartbeat if I could.
I'll bet those guys in the infirmary really missed you. Helping people die with dignity is a very noble thing to do and not for the faint of heart. Please keep the videos coming!
Later, I got the opportunity to go back into the infirmary with my dog and a guitar to visit with those guys. I'd go back, they'd love on the dog, and I would play music for them. There are more videos to come!
Thank you for helping those guys that needed some support.
It was honestly my pleasure. I enjoyed being a part of those guys' lives.

As a cancer patient, that means a lot that you was their for them. 💯 Buddy 💪.
It meant a lot to me, too. Cancer is rough. Having people around you that care for you and support you can make all the difference.
