    It’s kinda funny that I am just now coming across these videos. I am a current employee of LCF and find it very interesting to see an inside perspective that we don’t normally get when talking to the population 🤔 keep up the good work and stay strong 😊

      Thank you! I am glad you enjoy the videos. Yeah, usually giving officers an inside perspective is usually frowned upon 😂. I was in Lansing for a little bit. It can be off the chain sometimes. Stay safe and thank you for watching.

      Well hell, my uncle is still there 😂. The tomorrow 2/15/24 marks a year since I’ve been home. Everything you’re saying man is 100%%% but man, you gotta get some new glasses man! After rdu I went to lansing behind the walls a2 321 was my first cell there… shitty evil place! Did 6 years. From the time I was 17 to 23. I’m glad I’ve seen what I’ve seen, done what I’ve done and lived how I did to live how I do. You live and learn. Thanks for sharing

    El Dorado was only that way cuz it was a low medium yard once it was Max 2017 SUR took enemies out I was there 2018 Sureño yard

    • @EricSwanson1
      @EricSwanson1  9 месяцев назад +2

      It was low medium to max when I first got there in 09. They moved all the max out in 2010, but they still had high medium. Sureños are some of the toughest dudes in the system, no matter what state they're in. They just couldn't get enough guys on the yard to get traction while I was there. Good dudes though. I left in 2015.

    Eric, very well done. You laid it out pretty thoroughly at least to the extent you could. The Lansing riot would probably make a very interesting video. Happy 4th of July. I am sure the 4th is a more special day to you because you understand what Freedom really means.

      @EricSwanson1  3 года назад +1

      Glad you enjoyed it! Some of the Asatru are alright guys and treat it like a legit religion, but most of them run it like a gang. A lot of people in the free world who are into Norse paganism will have a rude awakening if they go to prison. In the prison system, you can't just wear a hammer on your neck. You have to earn it. If someone sees you with Norse tattoos or a hammer and you haven't put in work, you're screwed.

    • @EricSwanson1
      @EricSwanson1  3 года назад +2

      Coming soon! In a riot like that, it's everyone vs the officers. Trying to hide away can be a tricky situation sometimes. If people see that you're not riding with them in a scenario like that, they tend to get pretty upset.

    Wow! I didn’t know that gangs were broken down into such small “sects”? (Can I call it that?) You were talking about Fed versus State Prisons in another video. I live in Indiana about 2 hours away from USP Terre Haute. I have to pass that place every time I head to my parents house. That place is a fortress! I was absolutely shocked when you said that the GD's were perhaps the most 'level headed' group in Kansas. That totally shocked me. In most places, the black gangs are the ones that don't follow any of the 'social rules' or prison politics and cause the most headaches. For example, in most places, they are the only gangs/groups that allow sex offenders into their ranks. They don't sweat their guys for having a boyfriend. Whereas, having a boy would get a white guy killed in most places. I am impressed. It sounds like all of the brighter black dudes ended up in Kansas. hehe.
    Great video as always, Eric.

    • @EricSwanson1
      @EricSwanson1  3 года назад

      Yeah, it's a bit shocking honestly. One of the higher ups for the ABs in Kansas has a case. Look up Uriah Beckman from Fort Scott. That's one of the reasons they no longer call themselves the KAB. It's not uncommon for big time shot callers to have a boy or a case. The GDs do keep stuff pretty legit though.

    Sounds like a crazy life behind bars. It's almost like you gotta be on guard 24/7. Life in the free world can be stressful but it seems worse in the prison system.

    • @EricSwanson1

    I'm just thinking out loud but it's interesting how you probably have more principles than the average person who's never been to prison. Ironically, that's one of the ways in which you probably find it difficult to readjust to "normal life." Prison, it seems, has given you some clearly defined ethics and values which most of the world has lost.

    • @EricSwanson1
      @EricSwanson1  3 года назад +2

      I've thought about that a lot. Prison runs on principles, oddly enough. You don't have a lot of material things. How you carry yourself defines you. Integrity, loyalty, respect and things like that go a long way in prison. They don't seem to be as valued in the free world.

    You're right about the points in the security that's why they have me red flagged in the federal databases I didn't even know nothing about that until me and Amy got pulled over in Arizona I was doing 5 mph over the speed limit and they had guns out on a Tomatoes go through the whole routine place in the fingers backing up kneeling down laying on the hot pavement Palms up. For the rest of my life what pops up in every state on there computer says loan prison gang member extremely violent and dangerous and even though I am not that person anymore now that I know that I'm in that red flag system keep my hands on the wheel will I move very carefully because they don't know who I am now and they want to go home to their families so I don't give them any reason whatsoever to get nervous I say yes ma'am yes sir no ma'am no sir and I usually have no problems whatsoever all they know is what pops up on the computer they don't know nor have they seen the changes in me so I got out in 1994 and they want to go home to their families at the end of their shift so I just don't give them any reason whatsoever to get nervous

      I was incarcerated from 2007 to 2018. I didn't join until 2016 and I had a reason for doing so. It definitely wasn't because I needed help. One of my childhood friends joined a gang. His family had asked me to keep an eye on him while he was in El Dorado. I got involved so I could keep him out of shit. I couldn't be privy to anything going down as a nonmember. To know what he was involved in, I had to join.

    Is an Asatru gang comparable to Odinism, at least in prisons? I knew of someone who was practicing Odinism, but I'm wondering now if he was in an Odinist gang. And when I had read up on Odinism in prisons, it said something about it being a white surpremist group. Do you know anything about this kind of thing? I don't think he was in a Kansas prison, so I don't know if it is something you are familiar with.

    • @williamhorton273

      I will try to share an understanding with you…Asatru is a spiritual/religious belief. It is a chosen path to believe, respect, and pray in the old ways….one of those beliefs is that you, as a warrior, will defend and protect (in prison) your brothers, there is no Asatru “gang”. It’s brothers protecting brothers….fighting for the protection and preservation of those who share your beliefs….I am not Asatru.
