Very thematic, story-driven game. Looks like another KS I missed out on! The way you do these playthroughs are great, I find myself gasping at your dice rolls along with you, hahaha. I plan on watching many of these and look forward to maybe participating in votes in future plays.

There's an interesting balance between tightly scripted narrative (the story book) and the random road events.
Stop and help him, I think. It seems like the kind of thing the party would do.

I really enjoyed this playthrough! The added sound effects are a great touch and definitely help keep people invested in the story.
Thanks for this video, I am exited how you will play it a as we hit lots of rule unclarities. Hint: You checked Samson's SICKENED box instead of SPOOKED in minute 19, which is much worse! Excellent playthrough and my respect for playing three chars - we tried two per player in the beginning, but after story 2 it got overwhelming for us. Looking forward to the next episodes!

Yeah my first play was very different too. No money and everyone was Wanted (which costs 10 coins each to get rid of). And I was at half health or so.
Oh sheesh!! I had 2 people wanted, but they had tons of coins because we did a skirmish almost every round! This one I couldn't believe I didn't find a single skirmish! Thanks Kevin for watching!

Help the farmer! BTW you're good on the bridges counting as road spaces per rulebook page 16. Also on that same page see the diagram on example 1. It looks like you can move "diagonally" to road spaces at "forks in the road"... Really looking foward to this playthrough as it is convincing me to keep my pledge....

I think you definitely have to help the farmer. Is it just me or the road events all negative so far even on the day one option. Looking forward to seeing more of this game looks pretty tough a lot of high requirement rolls. Again just love the little extra sound effects, makes the play through so much more engaging.
Daemons road events tip to slightly more positive during the day and slight negative at night. Both day and night have positive / negative road events. Off road is punishing.
Well if they were the normal on road day and night effect card, god knows how bad the off road events will be like. I wouldnt say they even seemed slightly more positive. I think the most positive one I saw was a night one an animal peddler I think it was one of his first cards drawn.

I believe we had a night road events card that let us take two road events cards and pick one. Which is pretty great!

We had Thanksgiving at home here in France yesterday, my girlfriends family are in town to visit. And we introduced my French family to some great midwestern dishes. That was some good fun !

One Stop Co-op Shop American style stuffing (in France stuffing is actually IN the turkey and is made with ground beef), green beans casserole, mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallows and I'm forgotting a couple. My family was really happy with it and loved it.
Regarding the Archeologist’s ability that gives him +5 might against mortal foes, how do you determine if that applies to enemies like the highwayman? I didn’t see any keywords on the enemy card.
Good question! Upper right hand side of the card there is an icon that tells you which type they are! I talk mite about it in the next episode! Hope that helps

Someone probably pointed it out, 19:06 the Black Cat event didn't make your character Sickened. You marked off the wrong status.
Why do you suddenly move less? Are you forgetting the coach giving you +1 Stride?

Unfortunately for me, no. The story was great inthis game, I just didn't feel like there was enough in the "combat" or "adventure" phases to keep this one. Still a good game, and many others have really enjoyed it. Just wasn't for me. I have to say I dislike percentile dice!
Nice... You should really do a final thoughts for all these playthroughs... You have a very nice format of summarizing your review when you do your top 10 (pros and cons)... You should def have stand alone videos for those... Thanks
I am thinking about it! Problem is it would cut down on playthrough time, and I like focusing on playthroughs. There are so many reviewers out there, where my channel is more focused on playthroughs for something different. BUT thanks for the suggestion and feedback!
Sorry to insist as I think you have a lot of value to add... It could be a stand alone video or it could be done at the first or last minutes of your playthough videos... The point is it has to be short, concise and highly practical (e.g. this game is not for you if... ), just like you do in the top10 lists... And that is where I feel most other reviewers miss the point (generalizing obviously)... Many reviews are too long and bloated... I am telling you - You should do it ;-)
Insisting is not a problem, it is helpful to know this stuff! I get what you are saying and I am goign to digest it and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the idea though and now I just need to figure out how to fit it in! :)
i'm loving the game play, this game looks awesome. i know i am late to the party and most of the comments decided on choice 2, but i would go with 1 only because they threw a bottle at vale :(

Shoot I can't! The coins came from the deluxe version of Orleans that was only through kickstarter :( I will say there are tons of places to find cool coins though, one would be Scythe's or Viticultures. I really like both of those!

Love the look of this game and seems spot on complexity wise. However, are their similar games that's a bit more streamlined? Have some normie friends that have expressed slight interest in D&D. But since I don't care for actual roleplaying at all this could be an awesome middleground.
There are the DnD adventure board games? Wrath of Ashardelon, Tomb of Annihilation etc. Might be a good place to start! Otherwise if you want more mechanics check out Gloomhaven!
@@OneStopCoopShop I did have a look at the adventure games. But they honestly seem too simplistic! For me atleast.
Gloomhaven looks dope, albeit overwhelming. It would have to be Jaws of the Lion if I ever went for Gloomhaven. Maybe Folklore is my best bet.
It's all about what you want. Folklore is story and the combat is meh at best. Jaws of the lion the story is meh but mechanics rock! Good luck!!

So this is basically a medieval version of Ticket to Ride.
HAHAHAHA I like the comparison, but feel it might not be correct? Tons of dice, co-op instead of competitive, and a stroyline. Still I understand where you are coming from!
@@OneStopCoopShopThat was a joke ;) The world map looks a bit like the ticket to ride board especially with the segmented roads! I almost got this game with the deluxe or core experience bundles at Essen last Thursday, but sadly can spend each euro only once :)

@@OneStopCoopShop Head a great time, thanks. Ended up with SoB Forbidden Fortress but was torn between Folklore and Darklight Memento Mori too. I love your playthroughs, so its almost like I still get to play it :) A friend got the deluxe bundle so I guess I will play his copy! I love that tale book in the expansion.

Just got this game and it’s my first RPG board game, perfect for Halloween 🎃, so I pretty much missed a TON of rules 😅 Oh well, so glad you explained every rule clearly.
