How do you rate this camera Paul?

Just for the output of the black and white jpegs alone, this camera, no matter its flaws, is a keeper 😎

@@paulappleby2729 I use 'Provoke' app on iPhone, which is great, but phone is awkward, haptics of GR cannot be beaten. I was eyeing the GRIIIX, but maybe earlier model would be just fine.

@@paulappleby2729Agreed, this camera has a special magic to it that i don't think any camera will replace. I have the GRD4 and would choose the original GRD over the GRD4 all day.
The way it renders monochrome is just spectacular when you nail the exposure. How they got it so right in 2004, I'll never know lol

I'm right there with you, I also have the GRD3 and the GR3. Monochrome straight out of camera jpegs do not come even close to the GRD rendering, a very special camera 🙌

I use my original Ricoh GR digital at 800 iso with sharpness and contrast up to 3. Excellent results anywhere.
I just change the aperture up if it's too bright.
I shoot JPEGs only. I love this camera and the results.
