Hi Derren, yes, the D700 is just a smidge heavier and bulkier than the 5D 🙂 It’s great to hear you’re pairing this camera with the 5D. It is very hard to compare these cameras in videos, but when you have them in your hands, you can tell more or less instantly why they have the reputations they have, they are both very unique cameras in their own right. Thank you for your comment. I do own other cameras, too, which have their own unique quirks and qualities, but the 5D just keeps me coming back for more. There’s something about its overall simplicity, the character of its images, and the tactile feel of using it that modern cameras can’t quite replicate. The 5D has a strange way of slowing me down, making me more deliberate in my approach, and reminding me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. I found the 50mm is a perfect match for this camera, but I also use Canons 40mm and the 20-35mm, as well as adapting vintage lenses. I can’t believe this camera will be 20 years old next year; mine hasn't missed a beat 🙌

@@paulappleby2729 Hi Paul.... yes... i noted your other cameras. I've been watching quite a few of your back catalog. 100% agree with the feeling of using the 5Dc. I actually feel quite proud when I'm out and about using it. 🙂 I seem to have only one Vintage lens that works with my 5D. I mostly collected PK Mount and they seem to catch the mirror which is excruciatingly painful when it happens as I fear that mirror falling off. Nice to have found your channel Paul. Hi Steve, I understand your feeling about the 5Dc when you are out with it. I have had a lot of people asking curious questions about mine when I’m out. I once met a guy with the Canon 5D Mark IV, he laughed at mine and called it a dinosaur, since then, I affectionately call mine my T-Rex. 🦖 Unfortunately, vintage lenses on the Canon 5Dc can be a little ‘hit’ and miss with its mirror, but with some care, it’s always fun to see what the image results are like with them attached. Hi, thanks for sharing your picture style preferences! I use a style that’s more suited to my everyday shots, so my settings are: Standard: Sharpness +3, Contrast +1, Saturation +4, and Color Tone 0. Auto White Balance: Generally works well with this camera, but I occasionally adjust it to match the environment. For Black & White, I use: Monochrome: Sharpness +7, Contrast +4, Green Filter Effect, and no additional Toning Effect. Hope this helps, thanks a lot!

Hi, this video is for installing Windows XP 32-bit on an Intel Mac using VirtualBox, not on a Windows laptop. If you’re looking to set up the Canon EOS Utility software for the Canon 5D Classic on a Windows 10 32-bit laptop, please check out my other video here: ruclips.net/video/0ZHzTw4AI-4/видео.html To get started with that setup, you’ll first need to install Windows 10 32-bit on your laptop. A quick RUclips search should give you plenty of step-by-step guides for that process. (My Laptop is a 12 Year old Lenovo ThinkPad T430u) In response to your question, you can only add Picture Styles to the Canon 5D Classic through the Canon EOS Utility software. Thanks!

I have to admit, the X-M5 is a very appealing camera. I recently watched Omar Gonzalez’s review, and it convinced me that it’s not a camera I’ll be purchasing in the near future. I understand the GR3 isn’t for everyone, but for me, it’s in the ‘if I lost it, I’d replace it immediately’ category. 😎 Let me know what you decide, thanks!

@@paulappleby2729 I don't like giving it away, it's been with me almost every day for the last 1.5 years. But the Fuji is fast, so small and offers many advantages with video and the folding display.
