- The stormy relationship of a young teenage boy with his troubled older brother is told in an extended flashback segment bookended by what happens when the two meet again 15 years later. Edward is a young teen living in a family the father abandoned years before and where the mother has become a Christian fundamentalist and courts a self-righteous school principal. In this setting, Edward tries to come to grips with his feelings towards the brother he both loves and fears, while struggling to protect his family and others from his brother's wrath.

A Hallmark movie with adult and contraversial issues. Worth the watch. Many well known actors, good performances and well written .

I have four boys and this comment is 100% truth . Funny thing is both my dark brunette hair boys are so loving and gentle ,but my two blonde boys they keep me on my toes. Wouldn't change a thing they both have strong persnality.

Thanks for the upload--this is a good one. It's unfortunate that the major networks don't put effort into TV movies like this (at the same time, the film industry also tends to put its weight behind action movies that will sell overseas).

What a great movie ... I was going to do something completely different but ended up watching this from beginning to end which is odd for me being a little ADHD when it comes to movies. If it doesn't catch me within the first few minutes I usually find something else. I enjoy all the actors in this, and the story kept me guessing what was going on.

I think the older brother was avenging all that was wrong in the town. It was the younger brother who was self-righteous and disloyal. He told on his friend, his brother etc. That's the irony of it. The one who seems good is bad and the one who seems bad, is good so to speak. But the younger brother redeemed himself in the end. Good story. Great acting.

The ending was just ridiculous. I think it was pretty idiotic to take him back in at the end- I mean I know they're brothers but if this was real life, that man would need some serious help before I'd let him live with my family.

If I had a brother like Lawrence doing bad things like burning down a house i'd tell my mother about it and I would never lie for him nor take any blame for him because he is sick in the mind and he needs professional help.

Boy is that true. I am the last of 10 children, and no two are alike in anyway.1 teaches English in a middle school, and another is in jail for selling drugs.( boys )
Yes, that's right, somehow my friend. David Copperfield-not the magician. It's not always upbringing, it does. But. No it is not. personal choice only. There, that's only half of it. There are many other things that play in, in one's life. We are so unique, different. like humans .. it's really raised as can be, so places. But we are so she is as different as it does. exciting also to live that you are not locked up. We are not only locked in a pattern .. but through one but still going on love. Where comes? ;)

Good Movie. Goes to show how people, even when it’s due to family members, can change everything about a person and everyone that person comes into contact with. So heartbreaking. In this family it all started with the dad abandoning the family for some other woman. What it did to each and every one of them spreads to the others and how their relationships get so messed up from it all. They see everything through a darker kind of lens. Trying hard to do right when, they aren’t even sure what right is sometimes. They all have an underlying need for justice for what their father did and everyone else does to them from then on. The only one who actually realizes that tho is the one who’s gone over the edge, ironically. Tyfs!
