I'm not ashamed to say this. This series was beautiful. History was changed, love was beautiful and the narrator was fun. He called us 'utter peasants.' 10/10 for me. Can't wait for season two.👍

I started this show around 11 in the night and binge watched it to 7 in the morning, I wasn't really expecting that to happen but once I started I just couldn't stop, I love this show and I usually hate periodic dramas, pls I need a second season

@@xingfujiuhao tbf there’s really a distinct lack of faithful retellings of anybody’s lives in the Tudor era (🥲) which is a shame as some stories would be WONDERFUL good cry films/shows 😅
That being said this is by far the best iteration of any show in that period I’ve seen 😅

It felt like a bridgerton parody at first but its its own thing
Nope. Completely different time period. Bridgerton’s a regency romance, that’s a genre which has very formulaic plots and unofficial ‘rules’ each story has to follow. This is a pure and simple alternate history, which means the author has free reign over everything 😁 so it’s very, VERY much not anything like Bridgerton beyond being set in the past, colourblind casting, and outrageously attractive romantic leads.
Plus, with how godawful season 3 of Bridgerton was, the writing and overall production of this show was a million times better

Ok so before I ask the first question I just wanna say that after I asked in the comments section on why are there many people that have read the book called "My Lady Jane" someone did answer and the first thing that person said in the answer was "The books came out a long time ago in 2016. So at the time there wasn't anything about it being adapted, tbh this doesn't really look like the book." So since that person said "books" instead of "book" then how come noboby talks about the other books and instead just talk about the "My Lady Jane" book? I know there's probably some people who mentioned the other books but they never mentioned the other books in front of me
Ok so before I ask the second question I just wanna say that the same person I just talked about also said in the answer "At the time it was one of those really big YA hits, but as a teen who always went to B&N, when a new YA novel came out I'd get it right away." So what does YA and B&M stand for? I had look them up what they stand for and nothing on Google says what they stand for and the reason why I'm asking you people what they stand for it's because in order for me to entirely know the answer on why are there many people that have read the "My Lady Jane" book I have to know what YA and B&M stand for

So since many people in the comments who have watched the trailer of "My Lady Jane" said the book was much better than this series then how come noboby in the comments ever mentioned the best things that happened in the book?
Alright those are all the questions. If you wanna know how I typed in the exact words of what that person said it's because I have two phones and I copied what that person said. And remember answer every question I asked because some people forget to answer some of my questions and not all of them.
Im not sure about most of these but I know that YA in literature terms means "young adult".

YA is an abbreviation for the genre “young adult.”
B&N is an abbreviation for Barnes and Noble- a massive and extremely successful bookstore chain.
I have never read the book, so I can’t definitively speak to the quality of the source material. Neither have I watched this series. However, I can attest, in general, the book is usually (9/10) better than the movie or series because you cannot shift mediums without something being changed for necessity or lost in translation between mediums.
Does anyone find the dude not that attractive? Kind of wish they'd start hiring attractive guys again in shows and movies.
