I remember back in Season 3 in a game where I was playing support when Kassadin didn't get banned. My mid picked Pantheon and absolutely dumpstered the Kassadin. The Panth then went around making sure everyone else got kills saying: 'I'm not Rambo, my team needs to be strong too.' I still remember your words to this day, random Panth guy.
Idk if you’ll read this myth but I think your content is actually really really good I love the effort you put into your content and I hope you keep this up, I’ve rewatched your essay format videos a bunch of times and will be turning notifications on!
imo Old Kassadin was indeed that strong, and to me it was always about the mobility. Back when he first arrived with that monstrous blinking range he was the epitome of mobility, and the presence of old DFG made it entirely possible for him to be standing outside of vision and then hop in and combo someone to death instantly, then often blink back out again with little chance of dying. Honestly he felt like the part of a single player game where they give you wildly upgraded powers to let you have a god-mode fantasy moment in a flashback or from a special temporary power up, but he was just always there, waiting to appear on top of you and vaporize you, providing the most depressing jump scare in gaming
i remember when i start to play league it's was maybe season 3 or 4 and my friends always dodge the game every time someone pick kassadin in the enemy team , and one time they let slide and we lose the game and kassadin got more than 30+ kills it was super stupid op at that time
Man what a trip down memory lane. This is when I began playing league and to ban kassadin was one of the first lessons i learned while I wathed over the shoulder of a friend. Also this vayne icon was soooo cool. I still cry over losing that old splashart
Dude thresh was beloved by Korean supports and at the time in 2013 his utility was the highest in the hands of a good player. This is before many kits became power creeped. Thresh had almost everything
Thresh back then was what K'Sante and other new champs with overloaded kits are today, he brought a lot of utility to the table and was flashy as hell in good hands
there was this kind of ironic result of him being so strong which was that nobody rlly knew how to play kassadin at all. so when he was open in a game lots of people who had NO business playing him would immediately lock him in and proceed to run it down. especially if the team facing him could play pantheon mid (im sure he had other counters i forget) that being said, the fact he had a 52% winrate by a player pool that was essentially first timing him every game they got to try him goes to show how strong he rlly was.
I remember when I did not ban him during this time, as I had no idea how he played. My team flamed at me and the enemy picked Kassadin. Yea we lost, I learned my lesson, after doing it again a week later
I started to play league when Vi was on the loading screen. kassadin Malphite and amumu were always the champions i saw getting banned. My easy conter to Kassadin was always Malzahar i won most of my games because Malzahar R was ridiculous damage and easy control.
This champ was so good that there were AD jungle kassadin builds floating around just because his ult was so busted before they put the mana increase per jump.
Not the mention of champions riot has gutted into unplayability, and then forgetting the champion that was gutted into just no-one even remembering he existed lmao. But I guess that proves they were succesful as yoricks unplayable phase is forgotten pretty often
Turns out mobility is a really hard aspect of the game to balance because it's power can't be easily defined and understood with simple math and numbers. Good thing Riot doesn't have a tendency to give lots of champions absurd amounts of mobility then huh.

47:13 yo this just brought back some deep memories. i used to play w the guy w a beard before and a little after he got hired at riot. At least im pretty sure. He was a blondish guy with a beard who was kind of overweight and had that classic 2010s kinda sarcastic sense of humor and worked on the balance side of the game. I remember him going thru the process of getting hired. looking back it was kinda weird. I ended up playing w a lot of riot employees in vc when i was like… 16-17. dont get me wrong nothing inappropriate ever happened (well outside of the fact hanging out w a teenager is rightfully inappropriate now) it’s just kinda funny i didnt see anything abnormal about it at all at the time but times change i guess
Am I dumb or have I seen this video before? Maybe im just thinking of a video from a different person but i remember this video and the talking points vividly
Anyone else still think kassadin is broken because you started playin this time? I don't even play anymore and I still cringe when I see him picked on streams before I remember it's not season 3.
I forgot which season either 3 or 4, anyways i was playing with some friends and we didnt knew how op kassadin was. one of my friend picked him and popped off and carried. and we all thought he was hella good, then we realize he sucked... he was only a god on kassadin XD
I was playing during that time and the only time I ever see this piece of shit played is in Normals and it's a better Kassadin wins and the two Kassadins will compete on who gets the most kills it's utter ridiculous
how roit cant balance it when they were making millions and have a staff of hundreds if not thousands when dota could do it with a volunteer team of a few hmmm sounds like pr bullshit they just want it people to buy the newwer champs and their skins

I never saw Kassadin in a ranked game, but I saw him in a 2014 Urf Game...
That's the kinda stuff people gave to go to therapy for
I am so sorry for your loss.
Is this jungle? No this is Kassidan. Hi is this support. No this is Kassidan. Hello is this top. No this is KASSIDAN!
Who is kassidan?
Kassadin*
Minor spelling mistake: World explodes
@@jmir1 bro he misspelled it 3 times
I wonder whats Xpeke up to these days.
He's stuck in the take over worlds music video
as a frequent mid from the old days, Kassawin was always a special treat to get a chance to play, and absolutely horrific to play against lol
I can't wait for
-Kalista from jumping to crawling
-Azir, Sand box
(Great video as always)

thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy! it means a lot

Ty for the early christmas present
Royal club going into the finals being like "Idk how we win vs SKT." Is probably how teams still feel today, 11 years later.
i remember when i start to play league it's was maybe season 3 or 4 and my friends always dodge the game every time someone pick kassadin in the enemy team , and one time they let slide and we lose the game and kassadin got more than 30+ kills it was super stupid op at that time
I played 400 games in s3, 1000 games in s4, and 800 games in s5. I think I only saw Kassadin once or twice.
Man what a trip down memory lane. This is when I began playing league and to ban kassadin was one of the first lessons i learned while I wathed over the shoulder of a friend. Also this vayne icon was soooo cool. I still cry over losing that old splashart
New video!!!!! Man i love your video’s, thank’s for the early christmas present!
okay, but why was thresh ban rate so high in 2013 ?
Megatron cloak ( dont remember the name ) Tresh was Impossible to kill
Dude thresh was beloved by Korean supports and at the time in 2013 his utility was the highest in the hands of a good player. This is before many kits became power creeped. Thresh had almost everything
Madlife
Thresh back then was what K'Sante and other new champs with overloaded kits are today, he brought a lot of utility to the table and was flashy as hell in good hands
@bqv9i318 no one else have ever been like Mad....
i'm like 90% certain that the old Kassawin would be able to trounce a modern champ like K'Sante, modern items/runes would be nuts on him
there was this kind of ironic result of him being so strong which was that nobody rlly knew how to play kassadin at all. so when he was open in a game lots of people who had NO business playing him would immediately lock him in and proceed to run it down. especially if the team facing him could play pantheon mid (im sure he had other counters i forget)

I love your videos! Keep up the good work!

My team flamed at me and the enemy picked Kassadin.
Yea we lost, I learned my lesson, after doing it again a week later
i've been waiting for a new upload ! i love your videos keep it up !
Daniel needs to riftwalk again
I started to play league when Vi was on the loading screen. kassadin Malphite and amumu were always the champions i saw getting banned.
My easy conter to Kassadin was always Malzahar i won most of my games because Malzahar R was ridiculous damage and easy control.
Woohoo new myth video!
This champ was so good that there were AD jungle kassadin builds floating around just because his ult was so busted before they put the mana increase per jump.
Ayyy new Myth video
Not the mention of champions riot has gutted into unplayability, and then forgetting the champion that was gutted into just no-one even remembering he existed lmao. But I guess that proves they were succesful as yoricks unplayable phase is forgotten pretty often
remember my only time ever playing kassadin in ranked back then, my entire team inted and we lost. hahahah
Turns out mobility is a really hard aspect of the game to balance because it's power can't be easily defined and understood with simple math and numbers.
Good thing Riot doesn't have a tendency to give lots of champions absurd amounts of mobility then huh.
Big C9 fan since they started and I still to this day wonder why you let Kassadin get through in Season 3.
I remember playing blindpick, because I was a Kass main and there was no way to play him in a gamemofe that allowed bans.... Good times 😂
please do not do sponsors with exit lag, its almost impossible to cancel your subscription and its well known that the site is scammy af, do your research before taking sponsors...
bro i love you
Back in 2012 I had my second ever Penta with Kassawin
Talon change was the biggest downgrade, from one of my mains to a hero I don't even play anymore.
@folkenberger some analysis on this?
47:13 yo this just brought back some deep memories. i used to play w the guy w a beard before and a little after he got hired at riot. At least im pretty sure. I miss back amd forth games.
W myth video
When it comes to OP champions I will never forget Samira getting ALL abilities and passive nerfed in a single patch. That isn't talked about enough
Pokémon guy plays league??
mordekaiser and sion being updated and rework for the 3rd time in the same year and completely removing urf champ for some reason
holy shit man ive actually never seen anyone do a video on this. super original
44:22 pure hypocrisy. 😂😂
So…you’re just a temu version of exil?
S3 Kassadin wouldn't be as OP nowadays tbh, his power was amplified 10x by being the only hyper-mobile champion
true but at the same time if you put kassadin's silence and mana refund today. He would dominate solo q and pro play
The days of lane elise
Am I dumb or have I seen this video before? Maybe im just thinking of a video from a different person but i remember this video and the talking points vividly
yes you did. This video is similar to the Exil video where he talks about kassadin too
If he's considered the strongest in history, who's the weakest?
Probably yuumi with sub 30% wr on launch, and the fact that on her own she's (quite literally) half a champion doesn't help either
yuumi was weak but I believe evelynn was worse
Bard at one time he had 26% win rate xd.
i managed to play him once xD he was insane
I still want to know why garen still has a silence????
Anyone else still think kassadin is broken because you started playin this time? I don't even play anymore and I still cringe when I see him picked on streams before I remember it's not season 3.
riot that allow to spamm abilities in 2-3 seconds are stupids
the season 3 Kassadin
😈🌂 Unleash me Yamato
I forgot which season either 3 or 4, anyways i was playing with some friends and we didnt knew how op kassadin was. one of my friend picked him and popped off and carried. and we all thought he was hella good, then we realize he sucked... he was only a god on kassadin XD
Played against and with Kassadin. However, i dont think he was broken (at least in soloq), but he was pretty toxic champion.
gotta do elise
Hi
C9 gat Cnined in both League and Overwatched
😈🌂
Ah yes, the seasons that were fun and korechina didnt dominate year after year
......ok bro
well idk if thats the case. After season 1 it was the eastern dominance that would continue till to this day
lemme guess...it was BotrK?...no...it was C9 and their bieber cuts lmao
Mooots perma ban him
KASSAWIN
I was playing during that time and the only time I ever see this piece of shit played is in Normals and it's a better Kassadin wins and the two Kassadins will compete on who gets the most kills it's utter ridiculous
How was his win rate not above 60% when he was banned more then 90%?
Nobody could play him everyone that picked him was first timing him xD and his was one of the hardest to play champions at that time.
In modern league, this champion is balanced...
what champ has a 97 percent ban rate??
I think the only champion to even get close to kassawin was on release day aphelios, and he has a meme of his own.@zairepaul-haynes1280
What about Talon? I heard decades ago he's a Anti Fizz. Because of his Silence E.
how roit cant balance it when they were making millions
and have a staff of hundreds if not thousands
when dota could do it with a volunteer team of a few
hmmm sounds like pr bullshit
they just want it people to buy the newwer champs and their skins
Why would you waste someones time with almost one hour video
