More so, I know horrible things were done in Vietnam by the Americans, but I still have respect for my Grandfather for making it back home alive. Never ask that again. Whether he did awful things, even though the Seabees is a construction battalion, is none of my business, and I have the decency to not ask him. Fun fact: on an F7 refuel (the one we’re you take of the Gun and do a full to the brim refuel) the F4 Phantom held 4,250 Gallons of fuel which would last the jet about 1 hour and 20 minutes

@@yahyaturgutakkas01 Oh I just mentioned the USN and USMC because they had Phantoms as well. Imagine if the US had had Phantoms during Pearl Harbor though
@@andreyserooky In a way i would give that more to either the j35 or the mirage 3 as they both could bvr however the missiles were not exactly the best. I do understand the reasoning of giving it to the Phantom however as it could do it much easier not mentioning that the phantom was much better at ground strike roles conpared to the mirage and j35. Either way f4 is a really unappreciated aircraft
I just want to come back and say i was wrong as the f4 phantom as soon as it entered service was able to carry the aim 7 iirc meanwhile the mirage got its first semi active radar missile in 1962 known as the matra r530

I just love big twin engine fighters, P-38 lighting, F-4 phantom and the F-22.
