Gravel-Lok is a pervious pavement. Water will pass through it. Be sure the concrete pavement is graded properly in order to allow water to flow away. Gravel-Lok is available in two formulas, Amber and Clear. You may notice yellowing in the sun when using the Amber formula with very light or white colored stones. This will eventually diminish, revealing the natural color of the stone. We typically recommend using the Clear formula for very light or white colored stones.
Hi Guys, Is your product available in Australia. I have been looking at using exposed aggregate mixed with concrete spread over some type of adhesive at around 25mm or 1" in US. Everyone tells me it will crack, so your product could be a great alternative. I have about 150 sq met or 180 sq ft to cover. I was also looking at around 4'6" wide and leave a 5 mm space where I could grout for effect. I might look at your web site.

What about areas that freeze? Of this is permeable then water will be trapped once it reaches the concrete? If water is allowed inside then it freezes? Does it yellow in the Sun?
Yes! If Gravel-Lok is designed properly with drainage in mind, it will absolutely do well in areas with freeze and thaw cycles. This means that the pavement should be slightly graded, which is really a typical installation technique for any pavement. If necessary, install drainage below to carry away an excess water. As long as the pavement can drain, it will not have any issues.
Cool come over and put those ideas to use may God bless you and your talents I pray your okay I pray to Jesus Christ you're alive and you know that Jesus Christ loves you
Yes, you can repair any divots that have formed by patching those areas and apply a roll coat to the entire patio to firm it up. Give us a call at 1-888-851-0051 for more information and to purchase some liquid for this purpose.
I have a pea gravel concrete driveway and patio that are showing wear and cracks after 40 years Will gravel lock install over it? I live in Memphis. What is a ball park cost per square foot figure
Yes, you can do a an overlay application with a layer of new pebbles and Gravel-Lok. Give us a call to discuss pricing and installation techniques. 888-851-0051

If you are going to mix the liquid with pebbles and trowel out at 1.5" thick, the coverage rate is 124 sf per five gallon bucket of liquid OR 93 sf per five gallon bucket of liquid at 2" thick. In addition, 24 hours after installation, once the product has cured we highly recommend applying a roll coat with a medium nap foam paint roller. Coverage rate for this step is about 90 sf per gallon or 450 sf per five gallon container. Regarding your second question, since Gravel-Lok has a 24 hour cure time, in order to install it in a vertical space you need to build a "form" of wood, lining it with plastic such as a heavy duty contractor trash bag, to prevent the pebbles from sticking to the wood. This "form" would be designed to hold the gravel in place while it cures. Please call us for additional details, 888-851-0051.
Gravel-Lok does not come in a variety of colors. We offer two formulas: Amber and Clear. The Amber formula has a slight amber tint to it, so it should not be used with white or very light colored stones. The two formulas are not the same price. The Clear formula is more expensive than the Amber because it contains UV additives.

Can you use this for a driveway or parking area?
Yes. It is often used for driveways and parking areas.
Would this work on an asphalt driveway?
+Donald T
We do not recommend a layover on an asphalt surface because Gravel-Lok will not adhere to asphalt. Gravel-Lok will adhere to concrete.
You will need to ruff up the asphalt
