Question how to ask: "How would you imagine your future in 2 years?" versus "How would you imagine THE future in 2 years?" When Juan asked como te imaginas tu el futuro? I was a little bit confused until I read the subtitles.

That's how important tildes/stress marks are in Spanish.
1. "¿Cómo te imaginas el futuro?" = How do you imagine the future?
2. "¿Cómo te imaginas tu futuro?" = How do you imagine your future?
3. "¿Cómo te imaginas tú el futuro?" = How do you imagine the future?
In the last case the word "tú" with the stress mark, emphasize that I'm asking YOU that question (it's kind of tricky but natives do that a lot). "Tú" will always mean "you". While "tu" can have different roles as in "tu futuro" = your future. If I had written the sentence without stress mark (¿Cómo te imaginas tu el futuro?) that would've been incorrect, spelling mistake - leading to confusion. So be careful with the stress marks!
As you understood correctly, in this case we wanted to know how they picture the future in general.

Gracias Juan por el responde. Me gusta mucho estos videos, es muy util e informativa. Una pregunta: (in english) When Spanish speaker talk about their own future (hopes and dreams) I know you will use the subjuctiva but is it more common to use present tense or future tense WHEN Speaking...for example In the future : deseo que mi vida sea mejor OR deseo que mi vida sera mejor. AND Ojala que mi logre mis objetivos OR Ojala que mi lograra mis objectivos (sorry for the lack of tildes or accent marks).

Estoy positiva por el futuro. Creo que seria problemas politicos por paises y ciudades por supuesto, por ejemplo el costo de los casas, nuestra nivel del salud y seguridad. Sin embargo en general technolgia y la atencion media va siempre mejorara.
