Future Tone has a killer model and beautiful physics on the hair, and I really love the lighting and shadows they use here. Making the steps glow was a really nice touch and it makes that scene look so much lovelier. Dreamy Theater looks too bright and saturated. It's not necessarily a bad model, but the lack of shadows and the fact that Miku looks like she's glowing in some scenes doesn't fit with this song in particular. Maybe it looks better in other songs, I'm really not sure. Extend doesn't necessarily look *bad*, but it's outdated and can't stand up to the other three. On its own, it looks great. It's well-animated and looks good. But when you put it next to more recent entries, its flaws become clear. Some of the physics are choppy. There are no shadows. Everything is static or stiff. It was fantastic for its time, and it's still a great PV, but it struggles to keep up. F 2nd is absolutely gorgeous. While the model itself isn't as good as Future Tone, and the hair physics aren't as smooth, nearly everything else is flawless. The lighting and shadows in the environments around Miku, while not as realistic as Future Tone, do an excellent job of setting the mood of the song. The facial expressions look genuine and real, as if Miku is a real human being who is actually feeling the emotions present on her face. There's so many smaller details present in the animation that the other games don't have. For example, during the scene where Miku is falling, you can see her skirt flapping as she falls. During the scenes where Miku is playing the piano and pushing the statue, you can see her fingers move individually, something that doesn't happen in the other games, where her hands are locked into one of two positions. If one were to take the graphical quality - the model, hair physics, and environments - of Future Tone and pair it with the smaller aspects - the facial expressions, the subtle movements of Miku's fingers and skirt, etc. - from F 2nd, we would have a perfect PV. The strongest part to really show off the changes in the PV in each game I would say is when she's in the basement/library. Here are my thoughts: Extend: The textures are a bit more blurred leading up to the room, but its lighting and flicker tricks work in setting it up. The room itself has very good detail for a PSP game and really gives the abandoned/creepy/decrepit feeling. Extend did the book-drawer-case the most justice in how it's presented. The others looked too clean or antique. 2:18 the pillar she passes through has a texture. 2:20 the painting to the right are more transparent, which could have been a mistake. DT: Higher quality room with updated higher quality textures but goddamn is it bright. It looks much more antique compared to Extend and F2nd. FT:It looks like they re-used DT's model of the room, but improved/enhanced the lighting. The lighting looks more natural PDF2nd: It looks light it borrowed the blurred arrows leading up to the room from Extend, but much more legible but subtle in the flickering. It's a mixed bag when she first enters the room because it looks straight out of Saya no Uta. Window frame at 2:11 looks non-existent but is blended into the pink light. 2:16 the book-drawer-case is missing to the left. I liked the one-off color choices to enhance the setting. At 2:28 where there's a brief shot of the room, you can really tell from which game version F2nd seemed to take the most notes from. Extend was the base for DT, but it also seems to be the case for F2nd. DT added extras to it with FT probably justing ripping it. F2nd has more "nasty" color choices that compliment the room. All in all, in final presentation, I like F2nd's interpretation of the end and Miku was the most expressive here compared to the others. I feel like a lot of people overlook Extend in comparison to the others since it was basically the first version with the low poly graphics and flaws. It definitely was good for its time but it's super aged. However I have a soft spot for it because it was one of the PVs with the most set pieces and rooms, making it ambitious with some better visibility of objects despite its low-res texturing (has a pretty good extreme note map for PSP). Giraffe neck Miku is a blessing and curse, but she was also animated the best she could. I played in edit mode for Extend back in the day and lemme tell you that getting a character to blink + the inclusion of limited expressions really shows the talent behind the devs in working with what they got. DT is a good enhance but I really dont like it compared to FT. It's too washed out. Final Ranking: 1. F2nd 2. Extend 3. FT 4. DT
I love both FT and F2ND because from 0:00 to around the 1:50 mark I love F2ND the lighting and the subtle finger movements on the piano is great compared to the other pd games but pass 1:50 in I love FT the, lighting in the scene is beautiful. With the part with miku falling, the zoom in on mikes face on F2ND for a few seconds makes it unique compared to the others being the only one with that effect. In my opinion, I love F2ND and FT equally as they are amazing in different ways
In my opinion, F2nd will ALWAYS BE THE BEST!! I actually made my own list from my fav to my least favourite 1) f2nd 2) project diva extend 3) future tone 4) dreamy theater EXTEND (I actually prefer the not Extend Dreamy theater version!)
okay future tone is the best overall, her fingers may move on the keys better in f 2nd but who is going to look at that?! the quality and effects are better in future tone. her hair movements are gorgeous uwu
I respect your opinion, but I guess the part where F 2nd has Miku moving her fingers is pretty nice because it shows the amount of effort they put into it. But FT is basically just an import of most songs, just with better modules. F 2nd also, in my opinion, has better hair graphics because it doesn't look as.. loose? I'm not really sure how to explain it, but FT's hair graphics look kind of odd to me. Though, a lot of other songs have really nice graphics.
peppa fich I 100% agree with you. another flaw of f2nd in my opinion is the hair seems so stuck together, like a bad statue or something. Also, at the end, future tone was the one that lit up the stairs
wow this is fukn awsome! F2nd defiantly the best one i think, especially with minor details like the piano being an actual thing with moving keys and not just a static brick
gotta give it to f 2nd personally, the cel shading just looks great, a lot of the facial expressions are hte best there, and i like the overall lighting the best. props to a lot of the later-on lighting and new detail in dt and ft tho
Extend was good for his time Dreamy teather Extend looks like Extend with better definition Future Tone looks like Dreamy theater extend with more definition F 2nd is completely different from the others, and I love it
In terms of graphics, Future Tone. But as others said, I love F2nd's expressions and also chance time. Why didn't Future Tone keep the chance time?! They keep it for some other songs >__>
I think ot might be because they were basing of dreamy theatre and not f2nd. The chance times are in songs that originally were added in f/f2nd and rolling girl was in earlier games. Hope this helps 3 years later lmao
I feel like Dreamy theater is the only one that got the lighting right. If you look at all the others, it kind of looks like they forgot about all the light in the pv. With the staircase, the sky, gin the school hallway especially. It would be perfect if we had, Future tone's visuals, F2nd's facial expression's and dreamy theater's lighting. And extend was the first to have the animation so they all have a part.
okay, i love all of the models in each game but, the models from F, F 2nd, and X have this certain charm to them and i love them so much they’re so beautiful
I'm getting F2nd in less than a week, excited!! facial expressions shading I think?- 2:50 looks EPIC so definitely playing Rolling Girl when I get it. Yeah, EVERYBODY is agreeing on F2nd, so am I :D (So far F2nd is our undeniable winner,)
F2nd is my favorite and the best IMO the lighting, facial expressions, the fact that she’s actually playing the piano and the special effects are just amazing!
at 1:59 if you look at all their hands and arms, f2nd is the only one where one of the hands is closed, also in ft the arms and hands look really weird, same with dreamy theater, extends hand is like the ft and dreamy theater but the arms are in more, f2nd definitely looks way more natural in this part EDIT: same with 2:43 and 2:59, the hand reaching out looks less, long, and the others look super weird, like in ft the two of the fingers are stuck together, the hand also looks really long in the other games, where as in f2nd it looks like more of a normal hand, honestly I think f2nd did a better job with the models, but ft just has better physics and lighting
Another remark I'll just post. F2nd Miku's skin tone is much more in line with Japan, however the background is much more saturated compared to Future Tone.
Its F2nd for me it looks sooo awesome but here are my ratings 1st F2nd the Lighting helps the song and really awesome and you can feel her expresions 2nd Future tone The toon shader is great but for the lighting its a bit to bright for the model 3rd Dreamy theater Its okay the model looks like clay in my opinion 4th Mega mix (even tho it isnt on there) The toon shader looks just alright with the meaning of the song the background is SOOOO good but if it was like f2nd and Ft it would be awesome 5th The hatsune miku extend game in my opinion The 1st game was the worse because it barely had any shaders like ft f2nd and Megamix39 after all its bad (its my opinion dont please attack me.)
Set the graphical differences aside, the facial expressions have improved in F2nd. Now you can see the frustration, the hurt, the desperation, the depression, and anger that she's expressing rather than the expressionless dolls from the previous series.
F2nd may not look realistic, but damn it looks alive.
The depression, *the depression*
Why the fuck would you want an animu idol game to be realistic?
I get detailed but why realistic?
Yes, maybe ur right
I also really like the lighting in the F2nd version, and the animated hands for the piano playing at the beginning
and that extra bit of animation when she's falling at The end, it really does add up
Imagine if F2nd fused with future tone.
Graphics from ft with the expressions from F2nd
:V
Damn it'd be amazing
Nothing beats the effort put into f2nd and nothing beats the physics in FT
Future Tone is already kinda fused with F2nd because it has many songs from F series, and not only F

zzMakomanzz ™ They do that because they need money to run their games.
Monsonoat Alasita Most pdf2nd pvs doesn't move fingers anyway. Most pvs uses morphs, aka pre made poses and swap them between animations.
Sega, porting animations from one game to the next: "Oh look! That thing with the fingers we tried to do works in this version!"
They focused on facial expressions more than hands animation tbh

The room itself has very good detail for a PSP game and really gives the abandoned/creepy/decrepit feeling. Extend did the book-drawer-case the most justice in how it's presented. The others looked too clean or antique. 2:18 the pillar she passes through has a texture. 2:20 the painting to the right are more transparent, which could have been a mistake.
DT: Higher quality room with updated higher quality textures but goddamn is it bright. It looks much more antique compared to Extend and F2nd.
FT:It looks like they re-used DT's model of the room, but improved/enhanced the lighting. The lighting looks more natural
PDF2nd: It looks light it borrowed the blurred arrows leading up to the room from Extend, but much more legible but subtle in the flickering.
Final Ranking:
1. F2nd
2. Extend
3. FT
4. DT
Remember
Extend is for PSP
Dreamy theater and f 2 nd ps3
Future tone is ps4
I love both FT and F2ND because from 0:00 to around the 1:50 mark I love F2ND the lighting and the subtle finger movements on the piano is great compared to the other pd games but pass 1:50 in I love FT the, lighting in the scene is beautiful. With the part with miku falling, the zoom in on mikes face on F2ND for a few seconds makes it unique compared to the others being the only one with that effect. In my opinion, I love F2ND and FT equally as they are amazing in different ways
Project Diva F 2nd hair physics look anime animated
F2nd she actually played the piano plus it has a chance time
the end of F2nd obviously the best, same that I'm not really a fan of the style.
aw man the FT one just *feels and looks* good
the lighting in the window in the dreamy theater extend is awsome while f 2nd in has no lighting
In my opinion, F2nd will ALWAYS BE THE BEST!! I actually made my own list from my fav to my least favourite
1) f2nd
2) project diva extend
3) future tone
4) dreamy theater EXTEND (I actually prefer the not Extend Dreamy theater version!)
1:01 Dreamy Theatre just looks like there is a giant light invisible in front of miku's face
the piano keys even move on the F 2nd....
okay future tone is the best overall, her fingers may move on the keys better in f 2nd but who is going to look at that?! the quality and effects are better in future tone. her hair movements are gorgeous uwu
髪の感じが凄い自然になってる!
wow this is fukn awsome!
F 2 is my fave I love the highlights on miku
F 2nd is much more expressive, and while a little too dark lighting-wise, it would be perfect if fused w/ Future Tone.
Graphics/physics from FT, expressions and certain movements from F 2nd
Extend was good for his time
Dreamy teather Extend looks like Extend with better definition
Future Tone looks like Dreamy theater extend with more definition
F 2nd is completely different from the others, and I love it
RATIO
In terms of graphics, Future Tone. But as others said, I love F2nd's expressions and also chance time. Why didn't Future Tone keep the chance time?! They keep it for some other songs >__>
I think ot might be because they were basing of dreamy theatre and not f2nd. The chance times are in songs that originally were added in f/f2nd and rolling girl was in earlier games. Hope this helps 3 years later lmao
Unpopular opinion but f2nd looked the best
That's a fucking popular dude
@@calliopedollhouse259 no,the most popular is future tone and i dont know why....the F series is so much better :v
While FT has slightly better physics and a higher resolution, literally everything else is better in F 2nd
@@strawberryp8109 I love F series!
著しく成長がみえて良いぞ
If FT have chance time like in F 2nd it would win everything
FTがやっぱり好きだ!!
And extend was the first to have the animation so they all have a part.
okay, i love all of the models in each game but, the models from F, F 2nd, and X have this certain charm to them and i love them so much
they’re so beautiful
2:30 miku tryna enter subspace to fight tabuu
Also i like f2 best for the ending
Dont @ me but the ending in f2nd is the successful chance time
Everybody is so pretty
Even though they are the same person
I'm getting F2nd in less than a week, excited!!
facial expressions
shading I think?-
2:50 looks EPIC so definitely playing Rolling Girl when I get it.
Yeah, EVERYBODY is agreeing on F2nd, so am I :D
(So far F2nd is our undeniable winner,)
I think that “dreamy theatre = megamix” because of her skin
the same for FT, the modela are the same. In fact, in MM the skin looks less plastic
Look at the hands in F2nd vs all the other ones. So much better.
F2nd is my favorite and the best IMO the lighting, facial expressions, the fact that she’s actually playing the piano and the special effects are just amazing!
I have project diva F 2nd
same!
I wish I had a ps4.. ._.
F2nd can be downloaded on a ps3 emulator called Rpcs3 for free and can run at 60fps full if you set it up properly
Same, i'm too poor for a ps4 lol
@@rainqwr I wish i had a ps4 too
@@MokosGmod Yes, but it is nice to play it on the system it was meant for
Project diva f and f2nd will always have my favorite style
at 1:59 if you look at all their hands and arms, f2nd is the only one where one of the hands is closed, also in ft the arms and hands look really weird, same with dreamy theater, extends hand is like the ft and dreamy theater but the arms are in more, f2nd definitely looks way more natural in this part
EDIT: same with 2:43 and 2:59, the hand reaching out looks less, long, and the others look super weird, like in ft the two of the fingers are stuck together, the hand also looks really long in the other games, where as in f2nd it looks like more of a normal hand, honestly I think f2nd did a better job with the models, but ft just has better physics and lighting
Another remark I'll just post. F2nd Miku's skin tone is much more in line with Japan, however the background is much more saturated compared to Future Tone.
1:50
When There is an update at your favorite game but you missed it be like
Miku's bangs are immune to physics
Its F2nd for me it looks sooo awesome but here are my ratings
1st F2nd the Lighting helps the song and really awesome and you can feel her expresions
2nd Future tone The toon shader is great but for the lighting its a bit to bright for the model
3rd Dreamy theater Its okay the model looks like clay in my opinion
4th Mega mix (even tho it isnt on there) The toon shader looks just alright with the meaning of the song the background is SOOOO good but if it was like f2nd and Ft it would be awesome
5th The hatsune miku extend game in my opinion The 1st game was the worse because it barely had any shaders like ft f2nd and Megamix39 after all its bad (its my opinion dont please attack me.)
It's all nice, it's beautiful.
The ending in F2nd is so much more alive. Man i wish i could fuse Future Tone with F2nd
I feel bad for miku’s hair in Project diva extend
f2nd had the best pv for this, howver ft has better pvs overall
Everyone is talking about the piano movement but not this?
2:50 - 3:00 Damn does F2nd is closes to the original one like what the heck?
