NOTE: You will note that in the first chord I am playing a high C with my pinkie. Please consider that in the actual recording Paul didn't play that high C. Instead of playing CEGC he played CEG.
In the actual recording the sound of this high C was generated by a natural harmonic resonance of the Blutner piano he was playing probably enhanced by the position of the microphone placement for the recording.
This high C harmonic resonance is kind od important in the overall "effect" of this first chord. " If your piano offers you this resonance you can omit playing this C.

I’ve watched so many video tutorials on how to play that song. None of them sounded just right. Until I found your video. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. It is wonderful to play this song Exactly as it was recorded.

@westfield90 No Problem ;) Very relax as always. You're correct some parts of the verses and chorus implies lower piano notes. I will maybe cover them later on :)

Thanks for finally posting a correct version. Just wish it was the bona fide album version, not from 'Naked'.
Nobody else seems to care about the articulation (soft/loud) that Paul uses, which - when I started to learn piano a few months ago - I noticed very quickly.
    Thanks, once again

Fantastic job! You're a very sensitive player and you catch every nuance. That's the first time I see that in a tutorial. And see/hear what a difference it makes. Thanks a lot for this.

Thank you! I am a Beatles fan and this has always been my favorite song. I learned to play this song with sheet music, however, this version is the real deal. Thank you for taking the time to put the three parts together. Could you do Imagine? David, USA.

    Great tutorial! Thanks for posting.
Question: In the first part of the video when you play the F# G roll at 0:40, why don't you include the C note (one octave below middle C) played right before that, making it a C F# G roll instead? I can clearly hear you playing this 3-note roll at 3:57 in the last part of the video showing the pedal action, and you can hear Paul playing it as well in the remastered versions on youtube. Other than that, closest thing to the original that I've heard.

@drutgat2 Sorry my mistake this is the single and lalbum verison. The "naked" and movie video version are very slightly diffferent. You can recognize the difference by listening to the last 4 notes I play with my left hand.

  • @mfische1

Thank you very much for the tutorial! I have just one question: If I play the first verse, do I have to use four notes for the first two chords too? Or do I have to use only a maximum of three notes per chord for the remaining song?
I really would appreciate if you could do the whole song, because you know, some parts have to be played differently e.g. Let it be, let it be, let it be, oh let it be.
And I think you are the only one on the internet who can teach us the real version.
