I don’t like a lot of things Elon says but I did vote for his pay package because I think his 2018 pay package should never have been invalidated. The contract was between the stock holders (owners) and the CEO which runs the company and Delaware should never have gotten involved. The comp package had two parts one was based on the stock price and the other was based on revenue targets. If he did not meet both at each level he would not have gotten that batch of options.
and that's fair IMO, the most important thing is all the eligible votes are accounted for, thanks for voting, whether you voted for/against, the vote matters
Nothing new here. Most CEO’s get paid in stock compensation and do whatever it takes to boost their stock prices. How would you feel if you’ve been working for a company and have not gotten paid for the last 6 years. Probably not so motivated I would guess. A deal is a deal, nothing after the fact matters. It’s really that simple.
The entire point of the nag is to make sure you are paying attention… if they just got rid of that, people WOULD just trust the system and start sleeping. The car Needs to see your Eyes to make sure you are still looking at the road. I think BMWs system works the same way. You can just look foreward and it will drive but you cant wear sunglasses. I THINK thats how it works. Tesla needs the people to pay attention to the road because they KNOW their system isnt perfect no matter what Elon says publicly. I bet you half of the time the Engineers of FSD just shake their head whenever Elon says something about it on Twitter.
Elon, worked for it. He hit the goals. He should get paid. He is getting PAID. So sell your shares, they are worth more today than when you bought. So sell your stock. I don't any of you working for free.
So, you voted “no”. wow. I could understand you voted no on forward looking compensation plan. But I’m mystified by your alignment with Ms Judge McCurruptnic of Unaware. I am saddened. Thank you for being honest. Maybe I’ll consider moving on past 16:33, maybe you’ll have provided some reasons I’d understand. But not today.
After listening to this when it randomly popped in my timeline, I again felt I made a right decision to stop listening to these guys 2 years back. Just a small feedback: You don't even know 5% of the information how tesla is actually doing things and how much elon is important to future of the tesla.
👎...so i Unsubscribed (a deal is a deal, and here is even nothing more to talk about) PS. This is just huge disrespect, ...without Elon there even wouldn't be your channels !
This seems pretty immature given this is simply a difference in view point. In my opinion, as a share holder, I voted no given I believe despite Elon’s success it seems rather ridiculous to raise his salary so much (above inflation etc) when he portrays the fact that the company is running on rather tight financials (leading to many people being laid off, or should I say to spend more time with family). I am more than happy for his salary to increase, but at this level I do not think that is reasonable, especially when I think anyone can tell he does not work full time for Tesla (given how many other companies he is busy at presently).
@@aledwilliams1234 there are no "opinions" about already agreed deals, agreed deals have to be fulfilled. And the MAJORITY of shareholders have (now twice) made this deal with him. So if you belong to the minority which don't want that deal, just sell your shares (or otherwise just shut up).
You clearly do not want to listen to a difference in opinion and that is fine, however I will not be selling my shares given I deeply believe in Tesla and their mission. I am just stating why I decided to vote no, and despite being in the minority I still think I am allowed to explain (I think reasonably fairly) why I voted no without being immaturely snapped at by yourself. I am from the UK and several years ago Brexit was voted on, where following you logic the 49% of people who voted to stay in the EU should now leave the UK given they are in the minority and hence should just leave. I am not responding to any more comments given there seemingly is no way for you to understand someone else’s view point hence there is no point me wasting my time.
Since the Aptera isn't out yet, and I can't afford the Tesla I want, I started walking to work. It was about 4 miles one way for 3 years; it's now 2 miles one way. Sometime in the first year, I stopped wearing sunglasses, and I really don't miss them at all, and I would recommend that to anyone. Long story short, in at least one respect, I'm ready for FSD 12.4!
Waited to hear the perspective before commenting. Hard disagree, but agree to disagree. Not un-subbing or throwing a fit. Keep up the content 👍
Much appreciated 🙏 everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Randy!
We’re so glad you're back!
Glad to BE back! 😄
Yeah don’t work duty free so why should he? Just sell your stock and buy the global market
Never once suggested he should work for free
All the Elon fanboys in the comments are just sad…
Thank you for your perspective. It really is an excessive stock comp. A lot of comments saying Elon shouldn't work for free when you never said that.

Vegan leather is vinyl.
Cars in the 70s had better vinyl. It was more like leather in 1970 than it is today. And more durable.

Never once said he should work for free. Are the two options $58,000,000,000 or nothing?
