There was a Danish charity worker with her who was also kidnapped. His name is Paul and he was also rescued by Seal Team Six. He was not killed. After the ordeal he said he was very lucky to be kidnapped with an American. I take that to mean that he wouldn't have been rescued otherwise.
Why does everybody miss that last part? It is literally the best line of the entire segment.
That's correct and he probably wouldn't have been.
This is a powerful story. Jessica now raises funds to assist the widows and orphans of SEALs as well as disabled SEALs.
which is just fleecing people... do you have any idea how much the government bends over to accommodate the families of fallen servicemembers? they ain't hurting for a single thing for the rest of their lives.
The longer video is excellent. The U.S. spent 150 million on the rescue mission of one person.
Ohh that’s a lot of money. But then again you can’t set a price on a human being
@@reckyNcarol I'm sure it was 'counted" as live ammo training exercise... we spend that much on some of those too, especially on the big ships etc...
Meh, that’s an accounting thing. Everybody involved was getting paid whether sitting on base or on a mission. The aircraft flying could just be considered training.
They would rather spend 150 million then to give the kidnappers one penny
@@davidtullis2810 And you get to pay to take them out so they don't do it again
I think the most telling thing, that made me proud, was her coworker saying "the luckiest thing in his life was he was captured with an American"....he knew straight up, his country wasn't sending anyone for him....but for DAMN SURE America was coming! I LOVE O U R COUNTRY!
This is only one big reason we are so proud of our Country our Flag and most of all to those who protect us every day ! Thank You Recky & Carol ❤❤
Her Danish coworker Paul was rescued by the Seals also. He later said that his lucky break was that he was captured with an American. Enjoyed it...thx!
Yes Sir
The SEALS rescued the Danish co-worker, Poul Thisted, along with Jessica. As far as we know he is still alive, though he'd be about 72 years old now.
USA!! USA!! God bless the Seals Special Ops men, and all other arms of the military...LIKE NO OTHER!! Proud to be an American!
This is a great story. Makes me so proud of our military. They didn't just save her they saved the European aide worker too.
Europe is full of buried dead American soldiers who were willing to die to save Europe in WWI & WWII.
The Danish aide worker that was with her was also rescued by the Seals. He is alive and well!!
Recky, you were a wise man to add Carol to the channel! I love what she brings.
Thanks for showing this heart-stopping story. I'd seen it before, but it still gives me the chills to think about the relief Jessica must have felt when she realized she was under the watchful eye the toughest warriors on the planet. And just so you know, Jessica's Danish coworker was also rescued by the Seals. He said his lucky break was being captured with an American because his country wouldn't have bothered to come for him. The rescue operation cost $150 million, more than three times the ransom demanded by the bandits. But the rule is, America does not negotiate with terrorists.
WE LOVE OUR PEOPLE🇺🇸 We Love America
...We will Fight to Save Our Own
...and lay down Our lives for Other...The First To Send Help
...This is who we are
"AMERICA" 🇺🇸
Paul made it too. She has since had a baby boy.
The prep for this operation is the more crazy part
Another great reaction. You can see the kindness in Carol's eyes. I love seeing this kind of reaction. Well done.
Seal Teams are a US Navy special operation force (SEAL= Sea,Air,and Land)
The Danish aid worker, also rescued said the best thing for him was that he was taken With an American. We may not do everything right but I believe we try
The Danish man survived and later said that the best way to be taken hostage is if you're taken hostage with an American. He said it's the only reason he's alive. The 60 minutea story you watched includes that at the end but I think some countries don't allow that part to be played. Not sure exactly why some reactors never see that part.
12k HERE WE COME!!!
I so just LOVE Carol! 🤗 I love y’all’s reactions together.
This was a story about American resolve. Thank goodness her coworker (Paul , a Dutchman) was also rescued at the same time.
We do spend a lot of money on our military but it is well spent. Every American life matters.
I think you would enjoy learning about how Canada rescued Americans from Iran during the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1980.
My father told me about this, if I recall the incident correctly.
It's a Great story. I hope they take a view because it's really intriguing
@@LA_HA It was made into a movie that was slanted making Americans the heroes instead of the Canadians.
@@pvdogs2 I never saw a movie. My father told me about it when I was young, but then I saw a documentary on it. They can just watch the documentary
@@LA_HA Yes, there are different videos out there. I was just commenting on the movie as that is all some people have seen.
@@pvdogs2 Oh. I wasn't aware of that. Good to know. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it.
Maybe I should watch the movie just to be familiar with it
Jessica Lynce Seal Team six rescue has live as it happened footage. Very good
Here I go crying again watching this video. I also an proud to be an American.
I was stationed at Ft Carson CO as a tanker in the late 90’s. The 10th Special Forces Group was also stationed there. When you saw these guys out they looked like normal soldiers but they also looked like different, like, scary different. I’m sure it’s the same way with the teams, or the deltas, et al. I wished I had the physical and mental traits to do all that, but I grew up watching Patton and my heart was set in the Armored Cavalry👍🇺🇸
You should have watched the longer version for the entire story.
Have you two ever thought of moving to the U.S, ? You sound like you belong here to me. God bless you both.
They were prepared to die but they are so tactically sound and well armed that they can routinely survive 10 to 1 disadvantages with their technology.
The US doesn't play, we just take care of business.
Her book " Impossible Odds" is very good.
If you haven't seen Captain Phillips (with Tom Hanks), you definitely should. Similar story, with SEALS rescuing a merchant captain from Somali pirates.
Oh we will negotiate but it’s going to hurt !!!! 🇺🇸
There is a longer version of the interview that gives more background, insight and aftermath. There is also another video out there that explains more about how the SEALS executed that mission. By the way, the SEAL who carried her was named Jason Sheffield, he has a book out called MOB VI.
The dane actually survived and was rescued by the U.S. SEALS as well
I just cried all the way through this.
More people trying to be seals die in training than on missions. America is just different because it's people that want to be there. An not forced to be there. Never leave an American behind
Well done, you are both beautiful people, thank you for the love and respect. I think you would enjoy "Boat lift" as well.
I suggest that you react to “What really happens in SEALs toughest week of training. It’s about 10 minutes
Americans LOVE YOU! :)
I love this story! Sorry for the long hiatus from you guys! 😢 Had a stroke and motor neuron damage, and am recovering and waiting to speak properly now still. Ah, well things could ALWAYS be worse right? I pray you guys are both well!!! 🙏 Carol, you are absolutely gorgeous blonde! You're eyes just pop! And i love the blue shirt!❤
Oh no 🥺 Hope you feel better soon ❤️❤️❤️
The SEALS are truly incredible. 🇺🇸 I love your reaction videos and your heartfelt and precious responses. ❤❤ Thank you for sharing.
There was a dutch guy with her who said thank God i was taken with an American
The Danish aid worker was also saved with Jessica. He said his great luck was to be captured with an American.
In the USA military, the Mission is priority! Failure is not an option. That night, she WAS the Mission, that’s why they were willing to sacrifice their lives for her.
Every time I watch this it brings tears very emotional. So proud of our military 🇺🇸.
Carol your eyes look amazing with that dress. At the end the host says that the Danish hostage said he's alive because he was kidnapped with an American.
In the movie Blackhawk Down, takes place in Mogadishu Somalia, they reference the midday mission, when they’re high on Khat, as a substantial problem.
There is also a video that talks about and shows what happened leading up to the kidnapping. One of the things I appreciated was Jessica commenting that they were very gentle and kind. She kept saying how did you get here, I would've wondered that as well, but in the end, it doesn't matter how, only that they did. They all lied on top of her to protect her, which was very selfless. I recommend watching and reacting to the Story Of The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier and the video that shows the Changing Of The Guard at the Tomb as well.
There is a movie called Taking Chance about the process of bringing a slain soldier back to his family. So much care, compassion, honor, and respect shown towards the soldier and the family of the fallen. Kevin Bacon, an American actor, is the Marine that is with the body the whole time until he reaches the family. An important, sad, but necessary film for people to understand what happens with the body of slain American soldier. Please watch and react, thank you.
Seals are part of the navy like special forces and very full on and amazing.
i bet not only that group of kidnappers but others throughout the world and terrorists in general learned a good lesson in this,,,,
I've seen this many times and it's still amazing.
It isn't about money either when not paying ransoms and choosing to go in and perform these rescues when possible. This mission has been reported to have cost more than $20 million for additional assets while reports of the cost being over $100 million include expenses already paid for that were used in the mission (base and equipment use, etc). A bit like saying a house fire cost $20k to put out when all the equipment and firefighters salaries are paid if there is a fire to fight or not. The only real added cost is moving that equipment into position and unrecoverable assets used to fight the fire.
She was a Special cases to why she was rescued as Fast that she was. Nowadays if you're an American citizen that's taken abroad, you're pretty much sol. You'd better chance of getting rescued by mercenaries hired By your family or private citizen to get you back.
Thank you for watching this 💞🥰
The Seals are the U S Navy’s special forces
Hi you 2 from Colorado. When you get some time, look up videos here on RUclips of a guy named Paul O'Neil. He does a lot of interviews and talks where he goes into some detail about what it takes to be a Navy Seal. He IS the man who actually shot Bin Laden and was on several other High Profile rescues like Captain Philips. You both will LOVE watching a lot of the videos where Robert O'Neil speaks about all of this. It is a MUST watch for sure.
Love to listen and remind me how great America is, We just expect more out of our selves so when it happens we are not surprised.
Happy Fourth of July 🎉💪🇺🇸Recky and Carol 🤟🔥
Everyone is American, Just come here and be who you are. But remember when you need help your friends are there.
Recky! You look like his bro!
Swedes are some of the bravest & smartest i trained with. It comes down to political decisions unfortunately!🙏🇺🇸🇸🇪
🦅🦅🦅
Love you two ❤ and loved watching this with you! Sending love from America on the 4th of July!!
❤
Man that was with her in captivity was also rescued.
To understand Americans love and respect for ALL veterans, Americans welcome Wounded British Soldiers at DFW. And a movie called "Taking Chance"
Perfect Darkness 🤘
Another Podcaster who does a lot of investigative journalism. He noted that his research indicated that at the time, the word among the various terrorist organizations was that while most other nations might give in, Americans were off limits because it was fairly well known that kidnapnapping for ransom, killing or even violently threatening an American, would result in a visit by big burly men, clad in black and completly devoid of mercy.
❤❤
Buchanan thought she wouldn't be rescued because she was ONLY a volunteer humanitarian aide. She believed Obama wouldn't consider her important enough to be rescued. Well, what this 60 Minutes piece doesn't mention is Buchanan was saved by Seal Team 6 in Somalia in January 2012. She was shocked to be rescued. Maybe, if not for the fact Obama was running for re-election later in November 2012, Obama just MIGHT NOT have approved her rescue. A Seal Team 6 rescue makes for great positive publicity during Obama's re-election year. Buchanan should be grateful she needed to be rescued during a presidential election year. Buchanan's story might not have had a positive ending. Liberal media, 60 Minutes, doesn't mention this key factor in this report. Regardless, our country is THANKFUL to have the BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Watch the STAR SPANGLED BANNER AS YOU HAVE NEVER HURD IT. eHIS WOULD BE A GOOD WATCH FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN IT, Stay Safe
They'll need the tissues for that one. 🥺
Those guys will kill by knife or gun or by bare hands
You should check out "God Bless the USA", Lee Greenwood with military.
Great video guys! If you want to see a good "non-Hollywood" produced movie about the special forces, I would recommend "Uncommon Valor" Happy 4th of July!!
The slightly longer video is better. It details the danish man was rescued as well and shows Obama talked to Sec Def at state of the union.
I believe you are mistaken about phones to contact the outside to husband and family being controlled by the American's. The humanitarians worked for a Danish charity. That Danish charity would require all the information about family and how to contact them in case of emergency or situations like what transpired. My guess is it was the Danes who contacted the U.S. authorities.
Great video and reaction.
Thank you! 🥰
FORMER SEAL TEAM 6 LEADER / TRAINER MICHAEL JACCO IS ON RUMBLE DURING ALL KINDS OF INTERVIEWS. CHECK HIM OUT, AND LEARN ALONG WITH REST OF US.
Hey buddy i watch you guys all the time. If you get a chance please react to the the US Air Force PJ para rescue training . if you did and I missed it then i am sorry . God bless you both
Cool
When Bin Laden got smoked! Lol.
We spent over 100 million dollars just to bring her home
Don’t disregard CAG (Delta), they are a bit more low key than the Seals as far as publicity goes, but they are every bit as badass, but are more “the quiet professionals”.
Just an FYI, the Beesley’s have received strikes against their channel and it may be removed. The striking channel is called Fluctus, I believe they post military videos. If you have shown any of their videos you may want to consider removing them from your channels.
Lav Luca has also been striked.
Fluctus is very copyright aggressive
There is another video told by the seals about the rescue of Jessica buchannon
Another example of the power of America 🇺🇸 and its purpose.... Do NOT underestimate the power and professionalism of the seals
🙏🙌🤗❤️
Check out Marcus Luttrell.
❤️🇺🇸❤️
This is when they let the troops do their job. I know you did some from TFE to so you know, never mess with the American boats or our people. We don't always live up to it but this is the American spirit. In history there is three great periods of relative peace enforced by a nation, Pax Romania (ROME) Pax Britannia (English Empire from the sinking of the Spanish fleet to WWI) and now Pax Americana (Starting with WWI) The old line "I am a citizen of Rome/England/US means you really don't want to pick a fight. We are often a sleeping giant, slow to act but as it was shown after December 7th, 1941 the date that lives in infamy with 9/11/2001 and Oct. 7th last year, you pick that fight and you will loose. A wise line I once heard that sums it up, Never start a fight but always finish it or as Theodore Roosevelt said it Speak softly and carry a big stick. TR as undersecretary of the Navy gave the orders to start the shooting when the USS Maine as sunk in Cuba. He then resigned to take up arms himself as a Lt. Colonel in the Army (a major stepdown as secretary or undersecretary of any service branch is the in between man with the President and that service) Not in the direct chain of command unless the SECNAV is out but handles the civilian side of the Navy department and able at times to direct flag officers as he did with SECNAV out of DC. That war was when the US became seen as a world power and with WWI became the leading power. BTW I was curious in part because her name is much like another case like this but with one of our soldiers from my home state. Many like myself have mixed feelings on that one (Jessica Lynch). She was rescued in war in Iraq from a hospital and while just as inspiring in the rescue, some of the lead up on Lynch's part were questionable. She may have married by now and taken another name but the press likes to make heroes out of any POW but some were really not worthy of the honor given later. Lynch's case was that she never even tried to fight or offer any defense first for herself or her unit. Not being there it is hard to judge but many who were was not impressed. Buchanan was an aid worker and not a soldier so one doesn't expect the same and I'm glad she is safe. Did notice the covering of her neck (censorship of scars), I hope she heals and lives a long life. Just wish we did the same with the Afghanistan pullout, hundreds are still missing and civilian groups like the Nazarene Fund (one I donated to) got most out with the US State Dept. determined to leave them to die to avoid the shame.
It’s a shame so many Americans are so proud of our military but only 7% have ever served. 🇺🇸💙
Are you advocating for mandatory military service? Why is it shameful to be proud of friends, family, and neighbors that serve when i do not? The obvious good done by the US military in our name should be ignored? Do try to make sense.
@@spacehonky6315 Two different issues
As a Nam Vet, mandatory 🤣 for poor & patriots, never the rich unless they want to.
With all the Flag waving last several years why is military struggling to maintain std’s.
toby keith did an american song,,,,something about courtesy of the red white and blue
41 million and that's only counting during war times. That's a lot of people. It's not a "shame", it's just not necessary for there to be any more than is needed or called upon. There are plenty of other ways to serve ones country that isn't through the military and people do it every day.
Does Dennis Edwards with Paul fistead he said the best thing was to be kidnapped with a American
The homie gave a sick asf intro to the wife ❤ good shit bruh
God bless America 🇺🇸 ❤
just to be clear, "we the people" do not negotiate. if one of us is experiencing hardship by ANY enemy foreign OR domestic, we will respond. the/our Government, however....... ????? less government equals more rights!!!!!!! just sayin'.
The vikings probably lived this way. Has social democracy killed all of the Viking spirit?
I’m sure Sweden has their own version of Seal Team Six.
That would be the Swiss Guard, sir. That would be an entirely different country.
@@brandonhall5615 you are right! I’m going to delete that part of my comment. If you would then delete yours, I will delete this response. 😂
Great story, but it's actually a shame this uploader went and trimmed the 60 Minutes video like he did. He cut out so, so many very important clips of information. 🙁 He basically ruined the overall story, like the beginning intro where she explains that the tragedy of the ordeal was made even worse because she had not had children yet. That's a really important point that frames the whole atmosphere of her anguish. He cut out her description of first discovering the 10 year-old boy in the back of the car with his own AK and laced with amm0 belts. He cut out the part where they got out of the car and were forced to march through the desert to the first camp where she thought they would be executed. He cut out the part where she describes the one can of tuna and piece of bread they were given to eat each day and how sometimes it was spoiled and she was sick from it. He cut out the part where she first got reunited with her Dad and husband. He cut out the part where she has since remedied the "no children" problem with a healthy baby. He cut out the part where the Danish co-worker, Paul, said that his big lucky break was to have been kidnapped with an American. Those are all very, very important details. I can't imagine why the guy would ruin an awesome video by imposing his own arbitrary edits like that. Makes no sense to me. As proud as we are to be Americans when we see this, I sadly doubt we would see such heroism at the current time. We are suffering under a vacuum of trustworthy leadership at the top that does not have our republic's best interests in mind. I dare not go into any more detail than that, except to say that a vast majority of us hope we will make the correct decision in November and restore the pride and world-class heroism we saw here.
we would never go to these extremes for a man
You didn't listen to the whole story!!!
Obama did well, Biden would have failed.
No coincidence that it happened the same day of the state of the union address
Who was Obamas vice president? Oh yes, it was Biden. This isn’t a political video so don’t vent your unfounded opinions
By the way, the only prisoners Trump rescued were 5,000 Taliban fighters he helped be released in the months before we left Afghanistan
I don't know about that... Dubya would have failed, most likely... tRumpo would have failed I'd be willing to bet... I dunno abt MR. Clinton... tho, he didn't have a great track record as I recall, I'd have to bet against him succeeding too I think. I think Mrs. Clinton likely would have succeeded tho....but not 100% sure. I DO tend to think Dubya's Dad would have succeeded tho, and likely Regan as well, likely Carter too... I was too young to be a good judge on Nixon... tho I'm leaning no.... And I wasn't even a zygote when Johnson was in so... that's my reads....ymmv.
@@KTKacer Carter failed. Reagan failed, George H W Bush would not have failed. A CinC takes responsibility to make sure Special Forces can do what they do.
