I’m a professional footballer in the lower leagues in Europe and I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your channel, no lie, my favourite channel to learn and grow from mentally. Thank you for your work man, keep up the great work 📈🐐🔝
Glad the video resonates with you. As I said in the video these thoughts are completely normal and will always somewhat be there. But these tips definitely help to minimise them and keep you focused on your goals 💪
I feel like speaking in third person is one of the best ways to overcome these limiting beliefs, i always feel good when someone else complements my skill or just reassures me so why not do it to myself 🤷♂. Very helpful video 👍and good luck on your next run.
You're the first to say this 🤔 will think about it. I think I need to grow my channel a bit more before so that I would then be able to get good guests on. Thanks for the recommendation 👍
If you follow David Goggins, he talks about the cookie jar narrative. In good or mostly bad times, you go back to your memory and pull out your best accomplishments to remind your brain your capable of what you are handling.
I play soccer, I score alot during my practices but when I get into a game I like freeze in front of the net I miss my opportunity that I would score in practice. What can I do ?
It's common to experience this shift in performance between practices and actual games because of the change in pressure. You could try the following - 1. Mental Preparation: Recognise that the mental aspect of the game is just as important as the physical skills. Visualise yourself successfully scoring in a game, imagine the scenarios you often face, and visualize yourself confidently executing your shots. 2. Simulate Game-Like Scenarios: Incorporate game-like situations in your practice sessions. Create drills that mimic the pressure and intensity of real games. E.g. practice shooting with defenders applying pressure, so you become more comfortable with these scenarios.
