It definitely stinks to lose Skuntank (no pun intended), but you’ve still got a great team here, and I think it’s worth it to go for as long as possible. Gengar will be a helpful check into Lucian later on. Tentacruel is a fantastic Pokémon to have, too. Looking forward to next week’s episode!
I’ve been meaning to comment on this for a while, but the way you pronounce Croagunk is interesting. I don’t think it’s technically correct, but I like it better so I’ve adopted it for my own use. Love the series!

6:35 It _does_ have Earthquake in the final battle at the League. My guess is that they didn't want to make the fight too hard. Empoleon doesn't have Surf either, only Bubble Beam.

Sinnoh's music will always be the best Pokemon came up with. RIP Skuntank, you were a great teammate and helped so much.
Unfortunately, this is the last time you actually battle against Barry before the Pokemon League. However, his Torterra does have earthquake in that fight. Seems to be a bit of awkward timing as they thought earthquake would be too much before badge 6

Is the iron island double battle mandatory? Can't you just talk to each trainer individually and have 2 much more manageable single battles instead?
I think it might be possible but I do like the challenge at the end of the cave. I kinda wish they did more of that for other routes
@@grumpygengar22 I get that. Gen 7 had harder trainers you could only face after beating all the other trainers in the route. That was a lot of fun too. Still, I would have played it safer than you did. Platinum is challenging enough as it is for a noob like me 😅
