I've been an ST for Retina/ophthalmology for over a decade. No experience in general or hospital setting. How long do you suggest I study for in order to pass my test? I was thinking 1.5 months. BTW your videos are so helpful!🙏 Thx!

There's no requirement that you be a US citizen (that I'm aware of). But you must complete an accredited 2-year Surgical Technology program, which are only offered in the United States. There are other certifications (TS-C, for example) that do not have this requirement.
The National Board exam that I reference in this video is only for certification in the United States. I'm sure Canada uses a similar system/exam, but I don't know anything about it.
I have a quick question if anyone can help I got charge with a simple assault charge in 2014 would that prevent me from obtaining a surgical tech license?
If you email the nbstsa that's on their website, they will respond back with you can move forward or not. I had a question about the process since I did mine in the military and they responded back with a step by step on how to proceed my application

Why is the question for cbc blood counts even consderd for the exam. We have no.part in considering if a surgery is a go or no go.
