Sailing up the Nile on a wooden Dahabiya is the way explorers like Champollion, Thomas Young and Ippolito Rosellini did it over a century ago. No other way is as inspiring.

wow, your cruise looked awesome! just curious, how much of the time was the boat actually sailing vs being towed? we're considering book with Nour El Nil later in 2019. thanks!

Thanks Eric! The boat did a mixture of sailing, towing, and parking along the Nile each day as it runs against the current. I'd estimate 60/40 towing to sailing ratio based on the winds during our voyage.

My girlfriend and I have been looking at several companies for a Nile tour. Nourelnil appears to be one of the best in my opinion. Question: Was this an all inclusive trip. How much do you tip at the end?

Thanks Alfredo. All of our meals were taken care of on the boat in a communal style setting. Tipping is personal to how happy you were with he service. The crew of our boat was extremely helpful and friendly!
