I housesat for a family the wife cooked a lot, they built their house years ago the kitchen needed reno. Was not a big kitchen at all she just went from 4 burners to 6 (no griddle) gas commercial, 2 wall ovens, and 2 dishwashers one on each end of kitchen. She added a small wine cooler. Black/gold granite top and new sinks. Gorgeous!

OMG....This is like an adult toy store for kitchen. I would definitely want the steam oven, I think I would want EVERYTHING. I don't want to even think of the prices. Can't wait to see the finished work. Congrats love.

In the new bigger kitchen, more cooking, larger (??) family YOU WILL NEED FULL CAPACITY ICE MAKER.
European myself here and, like you, I am NOT an ice aficionado. But many-many times the ice maker in the new fridge was appreciated for needing to cool greens quickly.
And in THIS weather (also in California) I caved in and started putting ice in my drinks 🤣

Hi Gemma! Thanks to you and Kevin for taking us along on this adventure! I was amazed at that filter that helps keep your veggies fresh!! Totally agree, when I saw the drawers as refrigerator, I too felt I really needed them!! That place felt magical, especially when you walked into the oven area and there was the special lighting! It almost looked as if , get ready you are about to be wooed!! 😆😆

We’ve been using induction cooktops for over a decade. I’d highly suggest not overlooking induction as an option. It’s faster than gas, more even when using clad cookware, and better adjustable heat by moving the pan partially off the induction coils. Once you get clad cookware you’ll wonder why you ever did anything else.

wow i wish we had a store like that here. i am about to remodel the kitchen and replace the oven, which i will be sorry to see go. it is 35 years old and the seals have gone. but it has been the best baking oven i have ever used.
I agree with the gas stove and electric oven:) We stayed in a place for a short while that had an induction stove top, and I didn't like it at all! Not sure if it was faulty or not, but it took forever to heat! I also worried about scratching the surface with the bottoms of the pots and pans. I am very glad to say our new home has a lovely gas stove top and an electric oven:) Thank you for taking us to the kitchen show room:)

I'm so excited for you, what fun! I have a Wolf gas cooktop which I love, but if I could do it over again, I would have gotten a black surface. The stainless steel I have shows everything. I spend a lot of time cleaning, taking the grates off and cleaning the stainless. Our set up has the knobs underneath so we don't have to clean those everyday which I thought was so clever of me, but didn't think about the stainless being a pain.

Wow girl.....I am the same way. Gas stove top, and electric oven.
And I use a spray bottle full of cold water, then I spray into the oven after I put my bread/rolls in, making sure I don't spray the glass in the oven door. If one accidentally sprays cold water on the hot glass part of the oven glass....it will crack or shatter.

Just a tip. You can get a full size refrigerator, i.e. without freezer. Get a big deep chest freezer for frozen stuff. Way more efficient than stand up freezer. We used this combination for over a decade and works fine. Much cheaper too!
