Whilst it looks good, it does seem horribly unfair. It also doesn't really look like an art university. I spent like 2 years in an art room to get one of my A-levels so I would know. They missed so much potential like random mannequins, strange abstract paintings, unsettling sculptures. That would have honestly been an amazing thing to see in a FNAF style game.
THIS IS SO REAL. devs shouldve fucked around with paper on the floor, shit tons of drawers and wardrobes that can open randomly, mannequins ripped open. tables stacked on tables to block off of areas

I also think it would be good to have them all looking unique and different as well! I think the main purpose they would serve is looking unsettling and making the environment uncomfortable for the player. They hardly need to move to do that and I think if they did it would be too much of an expected thing that would make them lose any scare factor they had. What do you think? :)

It was really fun to watch you try and beat this game in 2 hour to get your $8 back. It's like a saw trap except instead of your head exploding if you fail, you're just disappointed with yourself.
Despite the game feeling like a blatant clone of FNAF SL (Except it's way harder and unfair), there are some of the parts of this game that do look pretty neat.
If I remember correctly, that isn't supposed to be an animatronic puppet. It's supposed to be a school mascot costume given life. No idea why it's built like a suit of plate armor, though...
Tbh seeing the first part of the game makes me wish someone would make a point-and-click adventure with a fnaf-esque art style, no jumpscares or anything like that, just atmosphere and puzzles to solve
I actually really like the animatronic design, despite the obvious FNAF inspiration it manages to feel very different stylistically. Something about it has this weird old CD ROM adventure game feel to it. The closeup shot with its eyes closed in the basement section, in particular, is giving me the weirdest uncanny familiar feeling... As for why an art school would *have* an animatronic, the best guess I can gives is that they bought the mechanical components, and had students simply design a shell for it. The empty fox mask in the hallway and fox-headed jack in the boxes indicate this character is possibly a school mascot, or just the product of a few very obsessive students. "Bringing your character to life" as a conscious automaton is as good a setup as any for a horror game set in an art academy.
whats crazy about this, is that the story potential for all its was pretty good. sadly ended up not getting executed very well. almost makes you want to have a better one
@@bigotbently9612 Thats probably why the game and its description says nothing about FNAF, so it can sell legally. Scott doesn't own "spooky 3d animatornic", so as long as people don't make the animatronics look too close to the ones in FNaF, this game should be fine.
Imo profiting from fan creations aren’t bad per se, for example, covers and remixes of songs are very common and absolutely deserve ad revenue and monetization (even in mainstream as well) And as someone who’s main online presence is making fan tracks for a community and doesn’t profit from it, it’s WAY less effort to make music than making a whole game, so the fact that it’s not too typical for them to be sold is kinda bizarre That being said, there’s many, MANY more problems with this. The fact that a fan game asks for money isn’t crazy, but the fact that THIS asks for money IS It’s easy to bring up copyright yet love other fan creations so much because of how the definition of what a “knock off” is largely based on quality, not on how much it takes from its source mossbag made a good case study video on this with Hollow Knight and Ori and the Will of the Wisp

Free roam usually means you can go about exploring your environment however you want, where Sister Location is fairly linear, despite allowing to explore the location. Being moved from room to room on a linear path is different from being able to fully explore the environment.

The random mannequins aspect would be interesting as one wouldn't know wether a mannequin is an enemy or not and could be kinda cool I guess
