    Most of the victims have not heeded the advice to simply use a U-lock and register their bikes, despite a $500 insurance deductible common here in Canada??????

    This folks is why community parking for your bike is worthless . bring your bike into your house or apartment , that way if someone breaks in you can legally blow them away
