I worked retail for a few years. I was transfered to the "trouble store" as a dept manager to help out. The amount of theft that happened there blew my mind. By the time cops showed up they were long gone. Shit's sad. Good job for these heroes!
I used to work at a store where they would chase people down tackle them and hold them until the cops arrived, they did that the entire time they were in business. I never chased anyone because I only got paid $5.90 per hour and there was no bonus or incentive to for me chase people but it was fun to watch other people do it.

There needs to be complete immunity for anyone that stops a crime in progress and no crime should be considered “petty”. Watch how quickly crime rate drops. And any criminal that assaults a hero attempting to stop them should automatically have their punishment doubled. Make it so that crime just isn’t worth it.

@@jaykoerner No. You misunderstood, I get what you are saying about how it potentially opens the door to recklessness or escalation and that is absolutely not what I was referring to. There are people that walk into a store and steal and the employees are supposed to just stand there. The reasoning is that it can become a liability issue and the store has theft insurance. Some might say this is fine except it isn't because then consumers have to pay higher prices to make up for the loss. Also in cities where theft happens too frequently, stores simply close their doors and the community has to travel much farther just to buy basic goods. Keep in mind that not everyone drives and the elderly usually have mobility issues. Look it up here on RUclips, some stores have had to close in cities where theft became too big of a problem. When a thief steals from you, they are not just taking an item. If you work for what you have, you get up early, drive yourself to work, do whatever it is you do at work, come home and repeat, meanwhile you may be sacrificing time with your family to put food on the table. Think about everything that goes into earning money in your pocket and some lazy piece of shit is taking all that from you. I used to work at a store where they would chase people down tackle them and hold them until the cops arrived, they did that the entire time they were in business. I never chased anyone because I only got paid $5.90 per hour and there was no bonus or incentive to for me chase people but it was fun to watch other people do it.
Yeah it’s absolutely ridiculous. I work at Home Depot and we recently had a Manager (also the guy that held the interview) get let go for trying to stop someone from running out 😔. He was a great guy.

The gentleman in the second video is pure class. You can tell how genuinely happy he is to have helped that old lady. Right on!!
One rule to live by:
IT’S NOT YOURS!!! SO, DON’T TAKE IT!!!
Cheers and many blessings to this young man. God Bless him and his entire family! Momma definitely raised him right!
These were all great, that guy rocked the bicycle thief who was clearly just a punk, the kid with the old lady's purse, that made me emotional, and that lady absolutely ROCKED that last guy, like damn.
And the “don’t try to stop shoplifters” rule is a extremely stupid decision on the corporate executives. I’d rather see a shoplifter get pushed into the automatic sliding doors then pay $15 for a check out apple charging cord due to that policy.
@@ImFromIowa You know what, that's a very, very good point. I knew back in the day the stores that had that policy and it's like, what are you even there for as security? Ok, so maybe you don't want associates to get involved but security?
"The would be thief left empty handed" That's it? That's the punishment? This is why theft is out of control. There's no accountability anymore. At all!

This is exactly what American citizens need to be like on a regular basis.
Criminals need to learn to fear the citizenry.
Crime needs to be offensive and treated with harsh disdain by the citizenry.
A citizenship that does not tolerate transgressions, is a citizenship that protects its society.

But the criminal can turn and sue the person who tries to stop them if they get hurt. And that’s why there are rules and regulations to not approach the criminal because they can fire you. Maybe because they know you could get hurt or worse and they think an employee can turn around and sue the company. Would you risk your life to stop a criminal who could have a gun or knife or is strong enough to beat you up? You could have a team of people to stop one bad criminal but they’ll have a gun to shoot everyone within seconds and then get away. Some people are very lucky to stop the bad guy and be that hero (people don’t like to be called a hero because it’s sounds vain to them and that person just wanted to help stop the bad guy).. people trying to help and stop the criminal, some people have been shot or stabbed for being the good guy. Just always be careful.
There are still some brave people that will step in to do the right thing to stop a thief. I am glad that the local law enforcement gave that guy an award. I hope that many good things come his way. Bravo!
He should become a Cop. We need good men like him when I retire.

Threating someone's life over a bike is ridiculous. It's a dang bike you can get another one. On the other hand a person's life is more valuable then anything on this planet! Humble yourselves people and God bless.
Hell yeah, thats what I'm talking about. It's refreshing to see people fight back. That's the true American spirit. I love to see that. America the brave not the afraid.
Thief’s need to be beaten senseless in these times. Everyone is accepting of it which is why this is getting so bad. Screw people’s feelings.
You're only supposed to incapacitate them, not beat them up. Think of them as someone you're responsible for
Some places they could lose fingers for stealing. Punishment is too lean, a good ass whooping works too.
@@ultraali453 As you saw on the video, they don't stop fighting. Incapacitating them isn't easy. Beating them up will make sure they learn their lesson and stop them on their way of stealing cause they WONT let go of the item that easy.
Plus, you don't know if they are armed.
@@crazybobby14 Beatin people up to stop their crimes is the biggest bullshit ever, this can only come from someone who has just no experiences about that... the worst beating doesnt stop a real criminal.. otherwise all the gang/clan wars n fights wouldnt be a thing up to this day.. heck, even killing people doesnt stop them, it just draws more violent people to you, which leads to more violence..
@@akcat11 Gangsters and petty thiefs are very different bro
Moral of ALL these stories - you have to fight back or you will get walked over and taken advantage of your entire life. Step up and be counted. Enough of the pandering of these people who have braces on their brains.
This is nice and all for the non-employee citizens who took action because of their specific situations but for the others, in my opinion, you don’t get paid enough and it’s not worth something seriously hurtful happening to you. It’s just stuff…your health and life is much more precious.
Especially when you’ll probably get fired for violating policy while trying to protect the company’s property. Definitely not worth it.
About time the public starts fighting back! We need to physically punish these criminals. Good guys over the bad guys all day every day.
the bad guys are the ones with the billions, though.
@@pgWave. In America people steal big screen TVs and Playstations "for their families". I say cut their hands or more off. No lost tears from me.
@@Rayhuntter No, you've been brainwashed. Bad people come in all shapes, colors, and socialeconomic backgrounds.
Unfortunately, that isn't reality.
We can keep saying this, but remember the people who did intervene but got shot/stabbed. Just be careful out there and make sure you have the advantage
There needs to be complete immunity for anyone that stops a crime in progress and no crime should be considered “petty”. Watch how quickly crime rate drops. And any criminal that assaults a hero attempting to stop them should automatically have their punishment doubled. Make it so that crime just isn’t worth it.
"Complete immunity" so by what you're saying if a "hero" in a attempt to stop the criminal hurts or kills a bystander it's fine, hell let's they don't even directly hurt someone else say the dude was trying to drive away and you attempt block him in hitting his car and it goes to sideswipe someone else ... My bad well I stopped the dude that stole something only worth money, so all's good. Sorry your cars damaged and your hurt, but I saved Walmart some money,
No the da already doesn't charge people for reasonable actions or even perceivably reasonable actions, giving people blanket statement to be vigilantes is not a good idea
If you are OK supporting some lazy piece of shit then feel free to give away your stuff to them. It is people with your weak mindset that allow crime to thrive and it is people with my mindset that hold the line so that civilization remains civil.
You can't stop a crime in NY because you'll get arrested. That's partly why crime is rampant.
I agree, but that would be vigilantism.
