Awesome interview Dr. Asad! He basically summed up my reasoning for relocating to South Africa as well. Ever since our ancestors were stolen from the motherland, the dominant culture has painted a deceptive image of Africa to keep us from coming home. The same misleading information has been shared with Africans and the rest of the world about America being some utopia. We all know the truth now and those that don't will see it over the next four years.

Ashley in Africa is also one of my fav Americans in Africa RUclipsrs. Mansa Mayne is also fun to watch but i'm more into Global politics than entertainment.

Thank you, Dr. Assad for expressing your sentiments so well on your journey to South Africa. You took the exact words ouf of my mouth. As a Black Puertorican man who is 65 & retired. I know that struggle. It's exhausting, and tiring.
I've been to SA before and i felt at HOME, and at PEACE there. I'll be visiting, and making that move in 2025 with my spouse.

😳America needs to be honest with itself, the founding fathers never envisioned a diverse nation where people lived in racial harmony. They just wanted to get away from England and its Monarchy rules, they wanted a Europe in America minus a King's foot on their necks. If you dont believe me go to the naturalization act of 1790 by the first U.S. President and first U.S. Congress and look at the only people allowed to become U.S. Citizens.
This stayed law until the 14th ammendment in 1868, an admendment Trump has vowed to get rid of when he takes office. The goal has always been a homegenous country of Europeans.
Even Abraham Lincoln said in 1862 to free people of African descent in the northern states, when slavery is over European Americans will never see you as equals, and he also said that all people of African descent should leave America for their own good and those of his own race.
Lincoln said to those who did not want to leave, that even the people on his side would not want them to stay if their whole popu;ation was free! They dont teach this in school but Lincoln writings are availble for all to see. It gave me a more pessimitic view of things because we have been living a lie so long!
Trump is only doing the will of the forefathers, we as minorities need to accept our place in this society, by abandoning this futile goal of equality, or take Lincoln's advice and leave for nations we are the majority!

    Black Americans 🖤
Those people have showed us Black South Africans more love than groups we have been with for much longer.
Why am I even saying "more love" because the other groups never showed us any love at all.
We've been with Nigerians here since 1994, the first time they opened their mouths to talk, was to say nasty things about South Africans.
I knew someone would eventually find out the truth about South Africans, and not the defamatory nonsense that others are pushing out of resentment.
I would also like to extend a particular, and a peculiar and a significant, and a nton-nton love to Black Americans too 🖤

✊🏿✊🏿In Africa 69 percent of the brands there are European or European American, whereas Africans have no share of the brand market in America. Because the general rule was Africa was to supply the world with free labor in people and raw goods not to make things from manufacturing factories they own, this rule was also applied to African Americans.. Which is why if you look at the brands around you from cars, coffeemakers, lawn mowers, furniture, etc, not one is branded by African Americans. We work at the factories and even design these things on occasion, but not own. Now, there are Asian brands in America but the majority of that is from imports not from Asian Americans. America is a near white only domestic brand market. Even as a former business graduate student I never recognized this until I just looked around me and saw no major/national brands named or owned by black people. We make up 14 percent of the U.S. Population and own no major brands... White people who are the majority will not support black brands, unless it were in stereotypical areas, but investors will not risk it. Now during segregation we had a Black American branded car company called CR Patterson & Sons started off a horse and buggy company, then they built their first car🚙in 1917, the company could not compete with white companies and scale manufacturing, so it closed in 1939. Special Note: The owner was a former slave, look it up!
💪🏿In Africa it gets a little better with black people owning major brand names such as Innoson Motors in Nigeria and kiira Motors in Uganda. However, when you look at the entire African market, Indigenous Africans only own 14 % of the entire brand market down from 17 % ten years ago. Europe/America has 69% percent of the African Brand market with Asia at 14 % and rapidly growing. There are 1.3 billion people in Africa and most are young looking for a new way, but they must stop putting non -African brands over their own and reject the colonized mindsets of the past, or poverty will always be in their future. The top 100 brands in China are Chinese, and its the same in Japan. Nike is the #1 brand in Africa!!!👉🏿 Africans as a whole desire and buy non African branded products, goods, which lessen the demand for research and development of their own brands.👉🏿 If Africa is to move up as a serious competitor for the world market, you will not convince others to buy your products in this global economy if you refuse to do so. A United Africa is useless until we fix the above problem!!
🔥Black Americans, We have a trillion dollars in buying power, but don't own a single brand in the top 100 + brands in America. This is by design, meaning we are still a servant race, not owners where it matters... Most of you probably have never even thought about it, which is the level of brainwashing going on to make you feel like you are doing well, when in reality we are slipping farther down the mountain of servitude., no matter who is in office Republican or Democrat!.. Africa is our only hope on Earth, and until we and all people of African descent come to this realization, we shall continue being a servant race.

I don’t particularly agree with Dr. Asad’s views on Kamala, who herself, always identified as Indian until it was politically expedient for her to identify as black in order to receive the black vote. Gender politics is not always seemingly progressive particularly when it involves the perpetuation of the American empire. For instance, is the US supported genocide in Gaza or more silently in the DRC more tolerable when under the jurisdiction of a woman of color? Let that sink in. Should the US empire be supported when it is represented by a female face of color? He also is aware that Kamala said in her interview with The Griot that she was “not going to do anything specific for black people.” A vote for the DP is not a vote for the interests of black people in the US!😢 Certainly a vote for the RP or the American duopoly will never be a vote for the interests of black people in the US.
I will give Dr. Asad some grace, however, as I believe his heart is in the right place and he needs to self-censor on some level as he is being interviewed in a major DA media platform.

Dr Asad has to be honest, a lot of Black Americans moved to other countries under the Democrats term, there is a complain of the high cost of living in the US... A lot of Black Americans voted For Trump... You'll be seeing a lot of Americans moving back once he has fixed the economy. Kamala was gonna continue with what Joe Biden has been doing.

This is a lie and the data is plain as day. 20% of African American men is not most. And he is absolutely right, many will take full advantage of the large African American repatriate community on the continent, Europe and South America. Good luck to those who want to live in the return of Jim Crow.

The majority of black Americans that have moved to Africa have relocated to countries like Ghana and Senegal because there's less hostility towards black people, South Africa is just like America in terms of anti-African hostility, the entire economic structure of this country was designed to keep Black people as Labourers.

@phumzilensele302 if you watched the movie district 9 you saw Nigerians being depicted as people who are destroying South Africa by putting up shacks and hokis everywhere. Actually the movie was depicting black South Africans using Nigerians as a metaphor, whenever white South Africans want to insult black South Africans they use other Africans as a metaphor. but Black South Africans have not advanced to understand such metaphors and messaging. Actually the majority of white people prefer having Zimbabweans in this Country than Black South Africans, if it was not gov't intervention white employers would employ Zimbabweans 100 times more over black South Africans. we are a people despised yet we can't see it. we see ourselves as better than other Africans but to some white we are worse than other Africans, just go to the Western cape and see!.
