While low prices are appealing, it’s essential to think about the long-term effects on quality, ethics, and the global economy. Consumer choices have the power to shape the future of the market!
"it’s essential to think about the long-term effects on quality, ethics, and the global economy" Yeah, that won't work. There's not much thinking going on. For example, the Hawk Tuah meme girl was the face of marketing for a now worthless crypto coin. She convinced many of her fans to invest $ millions. They took financial advice from a girl whose claim to fame is saying "spit on a D" on a video.

It is better from a customer standpoint that Temu exists. Amazon was selling the same quality Chinese made stuff for 3x prices and higher for so long. Since US common population is so used to these sky high prices that they don't even recognise the astronomical margins that the sellers are demanding.
That guy is full of it! The reason why Amazon doesn't have a USA made fuller is because the customer doesn't want it. Piffff, yeah, right? If they did, I would use it! Also with German made products too. What Amazon should add is a worldwide filter, so the buyer can purchase products MADE in the specified country they want. I feel that this is a hole in the market that no one has filled yet. I don't want to buy Chinese made car parts for my BMW, for example. Even if it is a European or American Company that outsourced the making of the goods to China, I'm not happy with that. I want them made IN the country I have selected. I know that I'll pay more and I'm fine with it.
The plural of anecdote isn't data. The data is clear, consumers care most about cost and buying offshore goods is usually far less expensive. Sure there are exceptions in consumers and goods, but the exception doesn't prove the rule.
Amazon has been selling the same items for years… just now it’s coming from the manufacturer without the huge markup for the sellers to make money. So now Amazon is intentionally making a page for it… it’s still the same stuff that none of us actually need.
