Ma'am can't really express my gratitude to you in words , once again , this is second comment on the same series , i.e. macbeth on this channel . And I really am so so overwhelmed right now , since to have a clear understanding of this scene , I was so worried at first , but your explanation just was a major major relief! Thank you so so much ma'am , really wish you the best with this channel . And hoping for Merchant of Venice explanation too , please ma'am , my exams are approaching and I am really tensed , not for Macbeth now , since i have your video lectures 🧿❤️ . But for Merchant of Venice.

The play is full of irony. We have seen in the previous act that Malcolm and Donalbain had fled to avoid of being suspicious to everyone but here for the same issue, people are suspecting them strongly.
Malcolm should have thought before running away that the situation might have been like that, as there were a norm of being king of elder son of the present king after his death, people would think Malcolm as the elder son,the murderer without investigating more.
Why he had done such stupidity ?
Is it because of being more powerful collecting manly powerto find out the real murderer.??
If yes, yet how it might be ?
Because we know Macbeth would be killed by Macduff at the end of the play and Macduff was in Scotland then. So why Malcolm needed to run away to England only for being suspicious to everyone ??

Malcolm did not run away to avoid being suspicious, he ran away to avoid being murdered. He alone could not fight and claim the throne without the help of the English King. So he ran away to 1. escape death (when he did not know who the murderer is), 2. gain English support, and, 3. form an ally against Macbeth.

Eventually, he got support from his own countrymen and from the Macbeth's soldiers as well. I think he is smarter than anyone else prominent in the play.

Madam can it be that Lennox is spying over the people by abusing Macbeth to know their( peoples) thought over Macbeth ? ( I have understood your point Madam , it's just a curiosity madam )
Madam will you please explain difference between dramatic relief and comic relief ,please madam

    • @NibblePop

This is exactly what Macbeth had turned Scotland into, a place where no one can trust anyone, anyone can be a spy to make sure they are spared and rewarded. There is no loyalty or trustworthiness left. This is why Malcolm at first doubted McDuff.
We can never be sure if Lennox was a spy or not , what we know for sure is that Macbeth had employed spies and it could even be people like Lennox.
Now your second qs. The technically correct term is comic relief, an episode of humour or light-hearted comedy that acts as a distraction to ease dramatic tension. Dramatic relief is a loosely applied term where tension is relieved through either comic episode or mundane commonplace digressions (often with choric characters). Sometimes music is also used as dramatic relief. Just like in Bollywood movies. So dramatic relief brings down audience's stress and anxiety but it may or may not be comic. When it is comic it is called comic relief

The play or the video? I am making these videos not as crash courses but for those who wish to invest time and intelellect and appreciate nuances that summarizing and quick guides miss. Sorry that it does not cater to your needs.
