    Well one thing I don't understand since we know that before Lenox and other nobleman talked how they don't trust Macbeth and said they're not in his side
    Then why Lennox informed Macbeth about macduff's plan
    That he fled to England to prepare an attack against Macbeth
    In some way Lennox pushed Macbeth to kill macduff's family by making him angry and more frustrated with macduff
    So I think why did he do so, when he was not even in Macbeth's side

      In Shakespeare, minor characters often show inconsistency. I guess he focused less on these characterizations at times. Good observation though.

    I had a confusion... why is Macbeth more restless in killing Macduff and his family when the real fear for him is the crown which is predicted to be taken by Banquo's descendants?

      Yes he is also threatened by banquo and his descendants as it continues to haunt him between the gap of his own downfall and the whole play
      Here he feels zero security because he has reached to a point where a Hindi reference (muhavra aage kua piche khai)

    Wonderfully explained ma'am. Also I couldn't help but notice that Macbeth said something about one of Banquo's descendants being the ruler of more than one country. Does this mean that Shakespeare wanted to please James I his patron and thus incorporated this little detail because we know James I ruled both Scotland and England, also the fact that he wrote Banquo's character as the noblest because he claimed him to be the king's ancestor?

      Macbeth was already suspicious about Macduff. So the apparition was just an external projection of his inner fear. He felt that Dunsinane castle was safe but he feared retribution of nature.

    Madam whatever the witches predicts , it proves to be true . from this point of view , it seems that everything has been predetermined . but since it's a renaissance play it shouldn't be . so madam i am confused about it that while narrating the significance of the predictions of witches , what shall be the essence of my answer ? ( I can understand madam that it's Macbeth 's own free will to listen the witches but I am confused due to the accomplishment of their(witches) prediction )

    • @NibblePop
      @NibblePop  3 года назад +1

      The play is not about how the predictions come true, it is about how Macbeth gets himself involved in the fulfilment of the prophecy. Even within the predeterministic frame, there is the question of man's free will to be an active executioner of this predetermined action.
