How to add text to a Youtube video after upload

- Sometimes after we upload a video on RUclips we realize we made a few mistakes, so we want to add a text to correct our mistakes. In this video i show you how to use subtitle section to add a text.
I got informed that one of our beloved professors is in a bad medical situation, very sad to hear this. I pray you get well Bram.
Month of Ramazan started today. Hopefully my belly will get smaller :). Things are going forward, I have 10 days to finalize my report. Almost 5 years has past, the soldier is tired, but a faint light is visible in the horizon.
Finance:
N=13, subs=299
Available budget (N):
299-100-13*(13+1)=17
Storage limit:
2^ln(299)=52,00
The only issue with this method is that the text will not show up if the person watching the video does not have CC enabled. Most viewers don't have closed caption enabled so they would never know the text was there and would not see it. Wish there was a way to add actual text to the videos that was not dependent on CC but so far there's not.
yes I'm looking for the exact same thing. a text overlay on the video, not a subtitle that can be turned on or off.
I believe in much earlier RUclips versions this was possible.

thats why youtube is so bad! you cant even trim your video if it has over 100k views
the problem with this is that the user has to have closed caption on and it won't display for a majority of users who watch without CC turned on.

@VW Life, you can force CC by going to "Video details > Show More > Tags" and then add "yt:cc=on" tag

@@melfinstechnology Anyone else know other solutions to this? If you add these comments in the "subtitles" section after posting a video, closed captioning is disabled. If you use "cards" you don't have any options to type text - only links. Any way to turn the option for CC back on after adding text like this? Don't necessarily want to FORCE captions as suggested by @Mail Alarm
Is ridiculous that RUclips removed the add text option... It's sad to see things became worst as the time passes!
I could have sworn there used to be a real way to do it.
@@corinneskitchen There was a "corrections" feature, but that also got removed. There are also info cards, but those require links to videos or playlists (or make you jump through a bunch of hoops to link to a website). Apparently RUclips really, really, REALLY, does NOT want people correcting mistakes...

so basically there's no way. people don't turn on subtitles to make sure if you have mistake on your videos or not.

people don't watch videos with the closed caption/subtitle button on so they won't see it or know to click on it.

What if the viewer set the subtitle off ?
In Persian we have a saying: in a desert even a worn out pair of shoes is a blessing🙂. So this solution although not covering every scenarios, but is better than nothing.

This seemed great, easy to follow instructions but for some reason it didn't take. I hit Publish but the subtitles never appeared on my video. ) -: Thank you anyway.
The viewer must have Closed Captions turned ON to see this text. You can force CC on, at least initially, by going to "Video details > Show More > Tags" and then adding a tag: "yt:cc=on" . the user can still turn the captions OFF if they wish, but this defaults them ON.

Thanks. I have a question though. Once the video is uploaded, if the view doesn't pressed the cc button at the bottom of the video, the text doesn't appear. Is there any way to add permanent text that appears in the video whether or not the cc button is pressed and activated? thanks.

I edited mine by adding text just like you have explained but it still doesn't display just like my edited blur does not display. what could be the problem?
Watch your video with your mobile phone and see if the blur effect is there or not. I have also faced the issue you referring when blurring part of my videos, in that case when i watched my video with mobile phone blur effect is there, but when i watch it with Mozilla or chrome the effect is not active. However for subtitle i did not have an issue even with Mozilla or Chrome.
@@HVE thank You so much for replying. I have finally sorted out the text issue but the blur is still a problem. It doesn’t display on both my chrome and phone. Funny when I downloaded the video, it shows the blur-edited version yet it doesn’t display it when watched on RUclips. I will try other browsers and see if it’s showing. Thank You
I can see that’s it’s showing on my safari but not the RUclips App or the computer chrome. Now I know my edited version shows in some browsers. Thank You for bringing it to my notice.

Try again, maybe with another language, or use another video from your channel and see if the option of publish appears or not.

Thank you for this video :). I made a silly mistake of mentioning a word wrong in one of my videos. I could refer to this video and add the appropriate word in Cc.
