I am the worst when it comes to making things just for fun. My biggest problem is that I am always thinking “what am I going to use this for”. I think I may have come up with an awesome idea. A lapbook for an engineer! I’m thinking pockets for a calculator, a compass, a small ruler, a longer ruler, some shape makers, paper pads, pencil holders, pen holders, eraser holders, paper clip holders, a place for a reference booklet... oh my... now I am getting all kinds of ideas... That’s what I love about watching you work, you’re a treasure trove of inspiration. You’re like a muse to say the least. ❤️❤️❤️
Still loving this lap book, it’s just a really cool project. I love your solution for the specimen pockets, and I totally agree I would have loved something like this when I was a kid, probably as some sort of art/sketchbook, or maybe like a stationary center, as we did all snail mail then lol. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the rest of the project, I think I might be sad when it’s done 😂
I love this lapbook, especially the fabric coin envelope. I made your last lapbook earlier this year, and am so pleased with it. Your tutorials are fantastic. Thank you for being so generous and sharing your talent and ideas 😻
Thanks Nik, early morning wake up here. This was a good start to my day, you do make me smile. I just love your chattering along with your amazing talent! 🤗 x
I like the symmetry of another run of 9. It's looking great! I would have loved a lapbook as a kid as well...my favourite thing at my grandmother's house was her junk drawer with all the little odds and ends in it. You may not want another cat but she appears to want another human lol - she looked pretty comfy cozy!
Nik, It's going to be so cool your Lapbook. Such a wonderfully connected and nice things you have in it. I think you should have everything placed that you show just before this video is over, looks really nice from this side of the screen.

Hi Nik, I love this lapbook, thinking of making one. I really like those little metal number tags that you used on the first envelope you made. I looked on your Amazon supply page but did not see them. Is it possible I could purchase a few from you?
My kids found a rabbit in the yard and were trying to chase it. Silly kids. I put the kids inside and told them be quiet and just watch. do NOT pound on the sliding glass door, just watch. I went out back with my cat carrier and a carrot and just sat on the ground and waited. And waited. Rabbit was nowhere to be seen, but eventually it got curious and stopped by to investigate me. I spoke to it softly, was able to pet it and put it into the carrier. You can't chase prey animals they will run away. I had to take it to the vet because it went pee on the sheepskin I had in the carrier and it was pink. So little guy needed antibiotics for bladder infection or something. Got food, toys, salt lick, made it a rabbit run with no bottom. Just moved it so it was partly on the lawn so it could nibble grass, and partly on pavement to keep it's nails getting too long. First day we had it I went door to door with it asking my neighbors if anyone knew who the bunny belonged to. No luck but not everyone was home. Few days later the guy lives 3 doors down came by for his rabbit. He had two rabbits that were brothers and they fight all the time. Well they need to be separated. I gave him the bunny and he carried it away. Barely shut the door walked back in the house looked in the backyard and the bunny was back, sitting next to the cage we made for him. Sigh. So we had to fill in the holes under the several fences between his yard and mine. I did give them the stuff I bought and Vet receipt with medicine. Left on front door. They thanked me and reimbursed me, which was nice. Quite some time later I was walking past their house and the guy was out, I asked him how the rabbit was and he said it died. I'm not sure how long they normally live or if it's brother killed it. I just don't think it was happy there.
For the past two weeks I've had songs stuck in my head; whichever song I most recently heard sticks until the next time I play some music. I can't think of anything worse than Muskrat Love! Fortunately I generally play music I like, and that one never comes up in my any playlist of mine, ever 😅
oh no, its not when you are in the safe cocoon that is your home. Its when you tempt fate and venture out to buy a loaf of bread or tube socks, that's when the musical earworms attack!
I love the chaos of collage, but after years of learning musical notes and needlework stitches which must be applied in a specific order and put in their place, I am struggling to engage in this style of embellishment. Still, watching you excel, I am entertained with envy.
15:35... Sing the Oscar Mayer song ... My bologna has a first name, it's O-s-c-a-r. My bologna has a second name, it's M-a-y-e-r. Oh I love to eat it every day and if you ask me why I'll sayyyyyy ... cuz Oscar Mayer has a way with b-o-l-o-g-n-a. How's that one? ((Why? Because it has an ending while most "earwhigs" can go on and on and on ... ))
Ear worms.......nooooooooo! The worst one I ever had was after I watched Ken Burn's Country Music. Omg--I don't even like country music, okay? I just love anything that Ken Burns does.....so all day, even when I woke up in the middle of the night to use the loo, the same dang song: Poncho and Lefty. OMG OMG OMG...........
Oh my lord totally agree with you about Muscrat Love. Hate that song! There may be worse songs out there, but that one is definitely high on the list. And it’s always songs you don’t like that get stuck in your head Nik. It’s one of those unwritten laws of nature. 😄
@@1erickjon, I actually don’t mind “You Light Up My Life” though it was certainly done to death much like the Titanic song, but it’s been so long since I’ve heard it, it doesn’t bother me anymore. Nice 👍.
❤️❤️❤️
For the past two weeks I've had songs stuck in my head; whichever song I most recently heard sticks until the next time I play some music. I can't think of anything worse than Muskrat Love! Fortunately I generally play music I like, and that one never comes up in my any playlist of mine, ever 😅
oh no, its not when you are in the safe cocoon that is your home. Its when you tempt fate and venture out to buy a loaf of bread or tube socks, that's when the musical earworms attack!
You need a red swingline. ;)
This very week, my son drew that stupid singing frog.....song stuck in head....."hello my baby hello my honey hello my ragtime girl" uggggg
LOL 🤣😂
I get ditties for advertisements stuck in my head-especially insurance ads! 🤪
I Love that frog!!! Got a thing for frogs in general. He was only in one cartoon but everyone knows him
I love the chaos of collage, but after years of learning musical notes and needlework stitches which must be applied in a specific order and put in their place, I am struggling to engage in this style of embellishment.
😄
Oh my lord totally agree with you about Muscrat Love. Hate that song! There may be worse songs out there, but that one is definitely high on the list. And it’s always songs you don’t like that get stuck in your head Nik. It’s one of those unwritten laws of nature. 😄
there's always "You Light Up My Life" or "That's The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia"!!
@@1erickjon, I actually don’t mind “You Light Up My Life” though it was certainly done to death much like the Titanic song, but it’s been so long since I’ve heard it, it doesn’t bother me anymore. Another Captain and Tennille song I can’t stand is “Do That to Me One More Time” or whatever it’s called. Yuck. 🤪. Though it’s still not as bad as “Muscrat Love”. 😄
@@1erickjon You are evil.
@@1erickjon How about Tie A Yellow Ribbon--muzac style? (See, I can be evil too)
