TBH everything Olave does Shaheed does just as good we overlook this fact because he’s lighting fast.
I think olave is still a better route runner, but shaheed improved a lot last season, he might do better this season
I think Shaheed is better at getting contested throws. Sometimes Olave looks like he needs it directly in his hands. I think both can be great this season if this offense system is implemented successfully, the run game finally makes an appearance, and the offensive line helps facilitate.
Olave plays like a girl. Shaheed plays like a man
You have to walk before you run. But there are Saints fans that think Olave will have 1,500 yards, Kamara will have 2,000 yards from scrimmage, Shaheed will have 1,000 yards. AT Perry will have 800 yards and 12TDs, Juwan Johnson and Dalin Holker will each have 500 yards and 5TDs. Jamaal Williams will bounce back for 500 yards and 7TDs, Kende Miller is going to breakout for 400 yards and 5TDs. It's just....insane. There aren't enough balls to go around. There aren't enough offensive snaps.
And half the Saints fans think that will happen with Carr falling on his face and throwing for 2900 yards and 16TDs. They can't reconcile their adoration for some position players with their disdain for Carr. It's all so comical.
I mean, we've been walking for the past two years, who's to say we can't run this year?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Agreed, their double standard is hilarious
people that hate on carr are NOT real saints fans, people assume that there are other qbs that we can aquire that are better than carr, carr is literally the best qb we can obtain we cannot get anything better, people act like if you draft someone they will be amazing already, Also Carr is very decent, people hate on him because his name is derrek carr. I think that carr is very good and people are so quick to hate
You guys need help lmao
A fairly reasonable way to calculate what Carrs yards would have been if he had completed those three games is to just look at what Winstons yards were. Carr had 3878 yards and Winston had 264 yards in relief. That totals 4142 yards, which would have ranked 7th. Winston fan club will claim Carr would have only thrown for 17 additional yards total in those three games. There is no absolute way to measure it, but be objective and fair it would have been in the 200-300 yard range.
Also to be fair in 2023 passing yard rankings, that adjusted 7th place finish is still behind Purdy and Mahomes who both sat for a game, and just ahead of Stroud and Stafford who each missed two games and Lawrence who missed one game.
Winston does not deserve to be in the nfl.
@@KermitTFYThe sucks and also inst good for the locker room, yet some fans like him because of the wrong reason
@eduardopoceros7737 hey, I'm a big fan of Winston, but he's just not that guy, unfortunately. I know it's rare, but some fans can be objective. 🤷🏿♂️

When people make record predictions they tend to just throw out numbers rather than actually review the schedules....we live in a knee jerk reaction society.
His bold predictions want to sound positive in one breath (9-0 at home! Division champ!) but then reserved and grounded in the next (4th seed)
Yeah the 9-0 and 4 seed doesn’t line up
“4th seed” in the division?
@@BrentonBannister-gc2pt Notice I didn't say "division" there, it's just something you added. If you watched the video it was an obvious reference to CHAT NOW predicting the Saints to be 9-0 at home and Division Champ but also predicting the Saints to be the 4th seed in the Conference. It helps when you actually watch the content, you'll know what the conversation is about. I understand that's not your strong suit.

@@BrentonBannister-gc2pt Adorable deflection
Peat didn't use his players correctly, so I expect Rasheed's numbers to significantly improve under Kubiak. So, we gotta wait and see, but he is the #2 receiver now so he could very well be correct.
Damn you just clowned this dude. No wonder he's in last place. The saints talking heads are horrible. Your the best and you only react. Wish you did more news talk
Goat House did an upcoming Saints season reaction today. Need to grab that one and give it a listen/reaction, my guy! 👍🏼
I’ll take a look!
Carr best years have been 2016 and 2020 with his absolute peak in 2021 before the gruden/ruggs drama.
What those seasons hace in common is that he had a good o line, a speedster and a good contested catcher (along with defenses not being historically bad).
I dont think we have those here, only the speedster but our o line isnt good enough to let routes develop deep and we also dont have a running game that keep defenses honest, we really need kubiak to work some magic
So if Kubiak doesn’t work this alleged magic, how long will your excuse list be then?
You practice your art today?
"Hey, if Kubiak sucks can I pretend that Kubiak doesn't actually suck so I can say DC4 sucked instead? Is that an option in a sane and intelligent world? What do you mean no?"
@@MosheGoldbergTheKing ikr, is not like I wanted kubiak anyway
James I absolutely love the way you break things down! And I also appreciate how you keep things realistic also! Great video James! 💯
I'm very curious to see what this offense does. It's kind of strange that the media seems to think they know exactly what Kubiak's offense will be. But he's got to invent his own style to be successful. The Shanahan/McVay/Reid offenses of today need to transcended somehow by the next generation of coaching.
The Carr Stan’s already have this summed up 🤦🏾♂️
1. Derek Carr over 4k yds
2. AK 1200 plus total yds
3. Trevor Penning is okay
4. NFC championship Bound
5. Saints Trade for top tier something but my wish WR
I think shaheed could be used in a way tyreek is used in the McDaniel system. Thats the way i think he gets more yards

I love these Siskel and Ebert reviews! I don't have to waste time watching the other channels!

James- a rare Skrmetta logic error here. Adding rushing yards may very well add first downs which ADDS offensive plays and the likelihood of increased passing yards as well. Synergy is the goal and offensive success begets more offensive success - it’s the essence of the sport. Don’t default to zero sum logic unless it’s factually warranted.
CMC rushed for 1400+ yards. Kamara rushed for 600+ yards. Carr passed for 3800+ yards. Purdy passed for 4200+ yards. A valid running game, something the Saints don't currently have, opens up the passing game.
Saints rushing offense ranked 21st last year, the 49ers 3rd. The Saints passing offense was 11th, 49ers 4th.
I know this is talking about pro-bowl/SB caliber players, but there was a time where you could see multiple teams with 2
WR's at 1k yards, and that's with RB's like Emmit, Ricky, Thurman, Terrell, etc. So I don't read too much into the idea that
utilizing the "run game" better, would automatically count out Rasheed in the 1k coversation, or any other WR. - I also think
his reason for beating the eagles was sound, that maybe in week 3 they would still be leaning a new system.
Fun fact since you mentioned Emmitt
The Dallas cowboys have had multiple 1K WR’s 3 times in their entire existence

Never did it with the Aikman/Smith/Irvin group
Very surprising, obviously a while back but I thought for sure Irvin/Harper had it. Thanks!
@@JamesSkrmetta Alvin Harper had that big 700 or so yard season and then fleeced the Bucs....
@@JamesSkrmetta Hill and Pearson kind of prove how trivial it is. A pair of 1,000 yard WRs. But take away 3-4 catches and neither of them would have been 1,000 yard WR...
Bold prediction James.. we go 4-5 at home.. maybe even 3-6.. I hope we go undefeated at home, but I'm like Nick.. I've gotta see it to believe it
James I need to understand why everyone sleeps and disrespects the saints and puts them in the late 20s after going 9-8 like the look at QB headcoach and the cap situation and go "yeah their the panthers" lol
It's bold prediction season! I can't hate on Trace for being bold with his bold predictions. I don't like how he backtracked on the 9-0 home record by saying, hey, we might lose these 4, but aside from that, go big or go home. YOLO!
Is getting Justin Simmons possible for the Saints. I know AK talks are going on but that would be crazy to have him with the secondary

I mean, I think you can think the eagles lose in week 3 to the saints, and then down the stretch become better and end up the 2 seed. Outside of that I don't think the rest of the things you brought up are compatible...
They have to get more than 34 sacks....44 sacks is acceptable. 50 would be sweet. Hopefully the offense will stay on the field longer which will help the D.
Oh man, I remember drinking Jager bombs for 14 hours straight at Harras Casino playing Texas hold em structure game I was so wasted yet could not go to sleep so I kept playing😂😂😂
That’s what life is all about!
Bold Prediction:
1: Carr throws 30 TDs
2: Saints Win 12 games
3: Tyrann 5 INTs
4: Chase Young 10 sacks
5: Kamara 1500 total yards
I think we start 4-0
My bold prediction Chase or Trace 9-0 at home but 0-8 on the road Saints run it back again with DA in 25 ...and go 9-8 AGAIN. Dude looks 12 but calling Shaheed a "kid" yea sure.
You’re hilarious bro 😂
Ayyyyy I appreciate that!
My prediction? DC in the run for MVP.
DC4 will rock this year

H&M goes INSANE
If they won 9 home games they would be 15 win season! That's not happening.
9-0 at home is BANANAS

Never hating on my guy Trace
My prediction is that you Carr apologists will end up eating your words and these bitter Carr groupies in disguise will continue making the same old Carr excuses! 💯
You forgot he had like 150 or 120 off 3 catches come on james you slipping on your saints knowledge
And that was under pete
Talking Sheed? Pretty sure I gave him 3 for 90+ and a TD in the video. I was right on the money NeverSlipping
Trace Girard has his podcast in dead last bc his video titles are too click-batey and quite frankly are painful to listen to. If he were just more honest I think he would be OK, but he's trying too hard with his titles and people are tired of it and his numbers reflect that.
This is not a passing offense, its a run heavy offense which mean only 1 WR could have 1,000 yds and 1000 yds does not mean much in this offense unless it equates to TDs. This offense is designed to take the pressure off the QB which means the TE and RB will be used as much as the WRs. DC must follow the progression and not play John Wayne football. This is the best offense for young QBs and not for vets who are use to doing it their way. Because of the way its designed a player has to make the best of their opportunity. I think quality is more important than quantity and if DC don't win 4 out of the first 6 games they might as well start Spencer Rattler for the rest of the season.
Probably one of my biggest criticisms of Carr is his loyalty to his coaches, even the bad ones, ie. Pete Carmichael and Josh McDaniels. This is one of those circumstances where it is a good thing. You're also assuming this offense will be a carbon copy of San Francisco. I can't see that being the case, especially with Juwan being injured. Hopefully, Kubiak tailors the offense to the players and their strengths.
You said this is a run heavy offense. However, as a team, they had only 18 more rushing attempts than the Saints, but over 600 more yards and 14 more touchdowns (more than double). Their offensive line was built to run block, which allowed the passing game to do well, too. Again, the key is to tailor the offense to the personnel.
The good news is that if Carr goes down, Haener or Rattler can still have some success. They both have better arm strength than Purdy, but we'll have to see how they perform behind this o-line and the pressure.
@@dl9232 Not a carbon copy but Kubiak will use the strength of the offense and AK is the best player on offense. Run heavy means RB, Y, and X the concept that DC never understood in PC offense. So briefly lets look at the Saints offense. For the last couple of seasons the Saints did not rush against the worst rushing D in the NFL they passed against teams who were equipped to stop the pass. Most of their early scores which was hardly were dives engineered by the run, lets call it catchup / hero ball which was unnecessary if DC had ran the play as . called. I think its different this time around, new offense and everyone is learning at the same time.
@alphasports3743 Carmichael's offense was one tailored to Drew Brees and became progressively more complex over the years. Again, Carr is the "run the play as called" guy to a fault. Expecting him to learn an offense that advanced that much over a 14-year period was unrealistic. Brady had the same issue with the Bucs in 2020. He had the advantage of a better playcaller and the #5 offensive line.
AK is the best offensive player??? I might have agreed with you if this was 2020. Despite never having a 1,000-yard season, his all-purpose yards have been really good some year, average others. He gets the same knock as Carr. Too much inconsistency. If Carr doesn't get to use the coaching or offensive line excuses, then neither does Kamara. As of right now, I would say the best players on offensive would be Olave, Carr, and Taysom, in no particular order. Hopefully, Kamara has a career year this year, but it's been too long since he's had solid production.
@@dl9232 No ... they made it easier for DC they used plays that DC was use too ... yes they changed the offense ... It was so obvious that Drew knew DC messed up on that Thursday night game and blamed it of CO when if had went though his progressions ... MT, and Hill was wide open but he looked for the big play which happened to be a clear out route for Hill. They ran the same play 3 times, once in one game and twice in the next game and DC failed because he didn't do as they practiced it. ( Olave went in motion from right to left and lined up in the back field, his route was a delay come across and sit for in the zone, he was the primary, but DC tried to throw deep to JJ in a deep post but was covered, Olave was no longer open so he had to throw to the RB for a minus 7 yds. The next week they ran the same play twice back to back ... this play many people say It was Olave fault because he was not ready for the ball but when your QB like the week before don't follow his progressions you are not looking for the based on who he chose to be he primary. The play would had given the Saints a 1st down. Now the next pay Olave lines up on the left side when the ball is snapped DC throws to JJ like he tired to the week before and Olave was wide open ) Kamara production is due to QB play when a HC thinks his 22 raked QB is worth 150mil after being benched ... its say alot about the Saints.
@alphasports3743 so much wrong here, but I'll give it a shot.
Sure, they made some plays and modifications for Carr. They even brought Gruden in to help him adjust. But, like Brady, it was stilling learning a foreign language.
You mentioned Carr had some bad reads and made some bad decisions? Do you mean like every quarterback in the league does? Not just ones on new teams?
Kamara's play was due to Carr now? Now that is a stretch. Carr wasn't there last year, though, or the year prior. Kamara struggled to perform when Brees was there, too. He was ranked 17th in 2019 in all-purpose yards and 19th in 2021 and 2022. He's been inconsistent for years.
I like how you used subjective rankings instead of objective statistical measures to quantify Carr's success. Those rankings are grossly biased and always subject to ridicule.
😂

CARR CANT EVEN THROW FOR 30 TDS BUT HE CAN BE MVP LOL
Shut up kid you don't know what will happen
