In her 1988 book she sort of pours cold water on that story herself, suggesting that their relationship was a PR ploy devised by their management. Meant to boost Maurice's image as a heartthrob. Basically she was used as a living prop. She recounts nights spent alone at Gibb's luxurious country estate, while he was having fun in male company. (She stops an inch from saying he's gay.) But she certainly mingled with the cream of the cream at the time. She was flatmates with pre-fame Jimi Hendrix, and met Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithfull on the circuit.
@@offbeat65He wasn't gay 😂 he had many female lovers who have come out to talk about everything they experienced in private with him, he even broke the heart of a magazine editor, Sarolta even said that even though they planned that romance, they did fall in love. I wondered why I'd never heard of her! Her voice is ok, similar to Sandie Shaw, but song badly needed Burt Bacharach touch! She probably never landed right song?
Indeed, she rarely got properly produced. In the early 70s she was a proponent of hard rock in her native Hungary, but the public was not prepared for that. She ended up wasting her talents with uninspired, cheesy stuff. She made one impeccable album, though, worth checking out: 1972's Álmodj velem, recorded with the rock group LGT, whose whole discography is remarkable.
It's a very good question. I was smiling when read it. I am sure it was an expectation from the audience, to do so. To show that she is only a second class singer from the other side of wire fence, from a socialist country. The original version in Hungarian language is much more emotional, beautiful one. ruclips.net/video/-UvPhPW_Rd0/видео.html
Mindenki szerette.
Ő volt az első miníszoknyascsaj fehert tangabugyiba!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Egyik.legjobb enekesnőnk.marad, nagyon édes a szám.is ő is.
Приятная песенка и очень красивый голос!👍
Cool! Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.
De helyes volt.
Szuper vagy Saci!!Jó hang ,jó nő!!!
The crowd is soooooooo into it! Just pure unbridled amazement!!
I thinking they're so overly excited they're frozen.
Thank you Sarolta. I liked that & will give it fiove (Brummie). Should have been a hit, well in UK that is.
This is nice. Its new to me 😎👍
The song actually get better the more it plays.
Fellas! Eyes up here!
The men's eyes and head movements are priceless.
The whole inert motionless audience seem to be looking at something else. I'm Dutch but they all seem comatose to me. WAKE-UP!!

Their thinking nice arse nice legs 😛 lol
Great!💯👌Thank You 🌹🙏☮💞
Beautiful song.
The accent and song go PERFECT
Yes, it somehow adds to the melancholy. The song reminds me of "I'll Be Your Mirror" by Velvet Underground and Nico.
Nice TY
Мне Шарольта нравиться с Локомотив ГТ. Здорово исполняют
More than a passing resemblance to Linda Ronstadt. Except the accent. Never heard this before.
She doesn't hold a candle to Linda in the talent compartment.
@@jackjust9020 Very little competition when Linda is the gold standard.
@@rhsilverberg yeah, of course when it comes to rock; I would say say Ann Wilson of Heart.
@@jackjust9020 Ann Wilson is one of the top shelf singers. I'd put Pat Benatar up there, too. And, there's no denying Cher or Tina Turner either.
good!

Muy Sandie Shaw,muy bien
That dude just casually smoking in the crowd at the beginning. Just a different world.
I loved the way girls used to dress .

Azta! Egy magyar is itt????
Was she Hungarian?
Yes and she made pop records that went against their soviet rulers
She's still Hungarian today..

A rare Beat Club lip synch, they were almost always real performances but she has no mic (or band ;)

Hungarian knockout.

Yah this show needed an all girl rock band to lively things up; kinda like Fanny, because this chick didn't cut it.
It's sounds a lot like I'll be there ,who ripped off who
How much did they pay those bored people to sit there and watch this person lip sync to her recording?

LoL. I think the Fanny Band got on next. That took the dullness out of the show.
What an awkward presentation.
