I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank You for producing such well composed and organized video tutorials. These videos have saved me SO many hours of combing through forums, looking for that one _simple_ step that everyone assumes you already know.
To be clear, I am not just referring to this video - This whole series on the channel is *excellent*
Thank you! We truly value your feedback
FWIW, none of this is what my 3 day window shade does. Even though shade is working, I get a red light when connecting the charger and the shade will not work. When I disconnect the charger, the shade works. Nothing in this video addresses what my shade does.
And, BTW, I had the little magnets removed from all 3 shades. THEY DO NOT WORK! Micro USB must be plugged directly into the headrail. Then they charge properly. However, the shade with a wand does not work with the charger plugged in. It resumes working when the charger is removed. DO NOT USE 3 DAY BLINDS!!!!! Their customer service is awful!
My sheer motorized shade has been charging for about 20 hours and the green light is still blinking. Does that mean it still is charging?
I think I was given the wrong kind of charging adapter for my motorized blinds. It does not seem to magnetically connect to the charging port. I see the magentized port on the end of the blinds bar, but the adapter will not attach. Help!
Do you have a way to safely access the charging port if its mounted 20 feet high?
Buy an inexpensive 20FT power extension cable, such as the ones for use in powering surveillence cameras. They will even come complete with mounting clips to discreetly mount the cable to the window moulding and will have a micro USB B end for the blinds, the other USB-A side may be powered by any USB ac adapter.
I have black out honeycomb blinds, installed in July and battery already died and I have magnetic charger with USB plug and wall adapter but there is no light on anything to indicate charging.
Hello, thanks for this video. I have the remote control with the push-in tab that you show. However, the installer didn't leave us with the little tool needed to open the cover. How can I get one?
Any paper clip or even a pen.
You can also use a:
-pitchfork
-samurai sword
😂
What happens when the green light does not flash but the magnet is where it belongs.

How long should it take for the batter to charge for the honeycomb shades
Hello Patti, charging should take about 4-6 hours.
This doesn’t say what kind of charger it needs at all. All it says is plug it into the magnetic charger, which I don’t have. And since these blinds don’t sell chargers on Amazon or on your website, I have non-functioning blinds
where can I buy the battery of remote from?
What kind of lithium battery??
What if the shade dies while it’s rolled up and covering the charging port?
How long should it take magnetic charger to recharge blinds?
For information on recharging shades feel free to check our link: www.3dayblinds.com/motorization-faq
It doesn’t say how long it takes and mine have been charging for 9 hours and they’re still blinking
Hello Gerald, charging should take about 4-6 hours

@@zettedesignSame with mine. How long did it take to fully charge and have the green light stop blinking? Thanks
I’m assuming when you say “display a light and STOP when it’s charged” that means the light will stop blinking … not turn off … correct?
Hello, a red light on the charger indicates that the battery is charging. Allow the batteries to charge until the light on the
charger turns green. A typical charge cycle can take between 4-6 hours
I have the same problem!
I thought when i see a red light that indicates i need to charge it. When i connect the charger the light starts blinking green. Is charging complete when the light is a steady green? Also, why aren't charging instructions in the operating instruction sheet that is provided?
@@Official3DayBlinds
@johnblood3148 that is correct the steady green light indicates the shades charge has been completed.
My charger is connected probably and I see the blue light, however the green light is not blinking. Pls help!
What battery does remote take? CR2430 doesn’t work
did you get a response for this question? did you buy from Amazon?
How can I get a replacement charger?
Hello Lia, at 3 Day Blinds we have a dedicated Customer Care team to answer questions and address any concerns with your order. Please give us a call at (800)800-3329 or email us at CustomerCare@3day.com, and we will be more than happy to assist.
FYI, 3 day blinds does not provide the screwdriver required for to replace the remote battery. Adding this to the list of unpleasantries experienced with using this company.
Don't buy unless you can reach the top of the blinds by yourself. Spent a lot of money and now they won' t service them. I need a 20ft ladder to reach them. I'm 75 years old.
Have you tried calling customer service to ask them? The installer came and recharged our shades when we asked.
Hello @Sylvia, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. Please provide us with your invoice number or phone number associated with your account so we can look into this. Once we have your information we will have our Customer Care team reach out to you immediately to assist in addressing this issue. Thank you.

The receiver/motor/battery assembly has a micro USB port, type B. If you don't have the dedicated charger with the magnetic dingle, simply use a conventional 5 volt, 2 amp USB charger with a Micro B USB cable. if your mechanism has the magnetic lug plugged into the USB port, unplug it (use a pair of pliers and gently pull straight out) and you will see the USB port. Save the magnetic lug for if you ever get the dedicated charger.
