Idk why y’all Americans complain 28000pesos is still affordable for us 28,000 pesos not $1,000 usd not even $600 usd a month tell me where u can live in the usa for $508 usd a month no where🤔

@@jamalgreen3056 Your point? By the way you actually can find rentals for that price and we are not talking about the USA. If you want to talk about the differences between a developing country and the United States and why the Philippines should be cheaper if you want to attract expats, we can. A fraction of those here would be if we were paying US prices. Just a heads up, a serious portion of the GDP is supplemented by Billions of dollars entering the Philippines economy each year from remittance. This does not include the expats in the Philippines and the jobs and money we bring in to local communities. Now, Serious issues exist and apart of daily life for expats are often disregarded by locals. It’s frustrating, and I am tired of some attempting to charge foreigners what it costs us in the United States. With no regard what we have to deal with in the Philippines. The laws are not in our favor. We are seen as a walking ATM. Everyone is attempting to capitalize on us, It’s not a great feeling. It’s overwhelming at times. You wonder why some expats stay in their homes…

From what I've gathered if you want 🍕pizza🍕 in the Philippines you will have to make it yourself. Meaning you will need to get flour, yeast, salt, warm water, tomato sauce, toppings of your choice, and of course mozzarella cheese if you can find it.

You can still get apartments in the Philippines for $250-$1200 a month good apartments that’s still cheaper than usa in usa on average people are spending dam near 3,000 a month for rent or mortgage

    • @Untamedlove

@@jamalgreen3056 ...the thing about the Philippines is there is no value for money..the $250 apartment is not going to be much. I agree that the rent is high everywhere in the US but in the Philippines there is too much to sacrifice living there. The upside is that I have two houses in Mexico and California worth over $850,000 and I would bet my life that No one on any channel has anything worth that in the Philippines.i watched a expat build a house for $189,000 in the Philippines...1200 sq ft...and I paid $84,000 for my house in Mexico that is 5200 sq ft...

Anything by a beach in the Philippines is extremely hot and humid with intense sun. Add Typhoons to mix and it’s worse. Best to live inland in higher elevations and cooler climates as Tagaytay or near Baguio. Also the monsoons dissipate so a lot safer. High ground with good drainage and concrete reinforced river runoffs down stream. Dumaguete offers nothing other than a few restaurants.

We live in Baguio....there are positives and negatives everywhere. Baguio is a place of approx. 400k residents but gets 1.2 million visitors. We feel small earth quakes all the time...and you have landslides. Not to mention what you can get for 100k is 400k in Baguio. This is the place where all the rich Filipino business owners by houses so prices are sky high. Often times equal or higher than the US. We lived on the beach in Florida and were shocked Baguio prices. Much of it is insanity.

Hey Kev, great job! Some questions: Am I wrong or is the rent for that place is more than what you are paying in your compound? The place is of good size and I like how the sounds are kept out. How far is it from the open market in Bacong? How do you kept dishes really clean without hot water? Bambulos is nice for a hangout close by with many options. Thanks!

Best I can say on the dishes is to microwave your sponge to kill everything. It’s about 2 minutes north of the open market. There’s a good sushi restaurant and legit massage parlor(250 PHP/hour) at the national highway right by it too

We just signed the lease and paid the deposit. Bf is originally from USA but living in Philippines for 8 yrs. Spent months looking at places in Dumas, val, Darin and Sam, looked at about 50 places. Many are in old and run down condition or very close to actual rooster farms or slaughterhouses or other noisy commercial ops. Some are new but poor quality. Many r just too small. Rarely something good pops up, we see the listing the first day and bam it's gone before we can even see it. The supply of bigger, better quality places is so low. There is an actual wait list for some of the better places and when one of those becomes available it goes to the next person on the list. We got this for 25k. A new air con will be ins t called in the LR. Adjoining ots are empty. This place is a very good quality brand new build and given the market today and our months of looking we r happy w our choice. Thanks to Alma and Angel for helping us find this and enduring all of our months of looking.

Mate !!! You are being robbed !! 28k , no way ! You can get a 3 bed bungalow for 12k on the beach .. This property at the most is 10k a month anywhere in the province.. Donnot be taken a fool .. Shop around my friend .. Donnot sign that contract ... Check out negros Oxidental , 2 hour drive from that house..

Like i said 10k per month is still all it is worth , especially living right next to someone else.

Sorry Robert, by the time we ordered…I completely forgot about it. I’ll get it the next time we are in a restaurant that serves it. It’s actually a very popular dish here

Thanks for watching Chris! This will be long gone by then, but contact me before you get here. I know a place that would do a monthly rental that is actually right on the beach, almost next door to a restaurant and a sari sari store(Filipino convenience store) within a 100 meters

Roosters don't bother me. We raised chickens when I was a kid. If a rooster gets too annoying it's time for chicken stew. Problem solved!😊
