I hate when you go to the doctor looking for solutions to correct the problem, or looking for a proper diagnosis, but all you leave with is a prescription to relieve pain, or pressure.

I've had hip pain for 10 years after a pregnancy. The pain comes and goes. I've mostly learn to live with it. For some reason in the last few weeks it's been so bad I'm limping at can't get comfortable. I've been doing your stretches and strengthening exercises for a few day. Although I don't have any recovery yet I definitely notice a difference after I'm done. It's promising! Thank you.

I've been a remedial massage therapist in Australia for 16years, the rediculous exercises I've seen people show me from their highly trained therapists is amazing, most of the time they can't remember them they are so difficult....I'll be showing them these videos to show how easy exercises and stretches can be. Me too haha I did heavy squats then heavy deadlifts next day. Former competitive powerlifter here and hip stretching is a key to longevity if you do heavy compound movements.
I can't do the stick thing twisted around my foot. I guess I just don't bend that way. But the Ninety-Ninety Hip Stretch is LOVELY !! I did that and then the fire hydrant, then the bird dog, and then the fire hydrant with circular motion and WOW ! What a difference ! Then intense left pain that was radiating around that hip joint has melted away. I am going to keep these up. THANK YOU !
I just started to have REALLY bad bilateral hip pain, it started on the left for some time now, but now it's on from left to right, so this comes at the perfect time! I'm going to try this starting tomorrow. I hope this works, I'll come back here to comment on the progress! Thanks doc!

I wanna ask about my knees pain please 😣 Im 29, I used to walk a lot and workout daily, suddenly i got pain in both of my knees the pain started at the sides and the knee cap started to lock constantly like every 15 minutes when i sretch it pops but not like when you crack the fingers, its loud and if feels like the knee cap was stuck in the wrong place and it got released, the pain is weied it feels like etchy under the knee cap and the outside of the knee cap too, I went to the doctor and the first thing he wanted to do after seeing the x ray is giving me some kind of injection in both of my knees i didnt do it, then Ive done an MRI for both of my knees and it says that every thing is fine ligaments, meniscus, and the cartilage,i have the same pain in both knees I have lower back pain i dont know if there is any connection or not but just in case 😂 This is what is written in the report The right knee : 1- mild expansion in the suprapatellar bursa 2-grade 1 chondromalacia patella The left knee: normal study Please if you have any advice its been a hell for me for a while now, ive tried all kind of exercises nothing worked Thanks if you still reading 😁 i know its a long a$$ story, sorry about that.
This morning I woke up with yesterday pain relocated from low back pain to my left hip. This made me extremely stand up with my legs...I'll try these exercises
@@DrRowe Regarding left buttock pain, I remember one of your treatments when you sit up straight on a mattress or chair and then lift one leg over the other, while pressing the thigh above it. This exercise is quite effective in reducing pain in the left buttocks. As for pain in the left hip, I tried from your video, this is the first movement (without a stick), and the second movement and it's pretty good that I can stand up. However, I still hope for a complete recovery for my condition

Dr. Rowe - when i do the 90-90 stretch, i feel tension in my medial knee. Why is that? Any tips/modifications? P.s. despite the above this stretch has done more to relieve YEARS of chronic backpain than anything else I've tried. Im finally able to sleep well at night. I'll need to give this all a shot. I injured my hip 2 years ago in basic training when I fell on it during a ruck march. Been bothering me since and makes it moderately uncomfortable to just sit or sleep.
@@DrRowe So after trying a lot and the Army doctors finally getting me an MRI, turns out my issue is labral tears, they say are caused by growth abnormalities in the ball joint of my hip, even though the pain started after a harsh fall.
How is your running going? I’ve been suffering with hip & lower back pain for 8 months now, my distance running has come to a stop, PT & osteopath have not been able help, so I’m curious how this has helped you. Hope you’re still able to hit those distances, man do I miss it.
@@SuperCrazynice for me the issue was my knees (tore both patellar tendons) but my chiropractor started with my ankles where I'd also torn both peroneus brevis(so) tendons. Sounds like we have different issues. I can say now that I avg only about 20miles per week and less currently due to the weather and pandemic. I miss it but it's taken a toll on me. My spinal wear and tear won't ever be reversed so I'm transitioning to more biking and low impact. What I still focus on is my hamstrings and hips and keeping them pliable. Also range of motion in my ankles. It prevents FURTHER injury. I'm sorry you're not able to run as you used to. Neither am I but my body gave me many good years and now I'm trying to give back.

Wow sounds like you’ve done some damage over the years, hoping that’s not the case for me however I understand it often happens with distance running. I’ll certainly keep up the hip and hamstring strengthening & introduce some ankle strengthening too, hoping it’ll improve at some point. I guess if it doesn’t improve then I may have to take a leaf out of your book. Best of luck with biking & maybe your running distance will also increase. Cheers!

I have F.A.I. pain in my groin and anterior thigh and it's causing difficulty walking especially after getting in and out of the car. Can you please do a video to educate those of us that are experiencing this how to stretch safely and ease the pain associated with this painful condition?

I'll need to give this all a shot. I injured my hip 2 years ago in basic training when I fell on it during a ruck march. Been bothering me since and makes it moderately uncomfortable to just sit or sleep.

@@DrRowe So after trying a lot and the Army doctors finally getting me an MRI, turns out my issue is labral tears, they say are caused by growth abnormalities in the ball joint of my hip, even though the pain started after a harsh fall.

How is your running going? I’ve been suffering with hip & lower back pain for 8 months now, my distance running has come to a stop, PT & osteopath have not been able help, so I’m curious how this has helped you. Hope you’re still able to hit those distances, man do I miss it.
@@SuperCrazynice for me the issue was my knees (tore both patellar tendons) but my chiropractor started with my ankles where I'd also torn both peroneus brevis(so) tendons. Sounds like we have different issues. I can say now that I avg only about 20miles per week and less currently due to the weather and pandemic. I miss it but it's taken a toll on me. My spinal wear and tear won't ever be reversed so I'm transitioning to more biking and low impact. What I still focus on is my hamstrings and hips and keeping them pliable. Also range of motion in my ankles. It prevents FURTHER injury. I'm sorry you're not able to run as you used to. Neither am I but my body gave me many good years and now I'm trying to give back.

Wow sounds like you’ve done some damage over the years, hoping that’s not the case for me however I understand it often happens with distance running. I’ll certainly keep up the hip and hamstring strengthening & introduce some ankle strengthening too, hoping it’ll improve at some point. I guess if it doesn’t improve then I may have to take a leaf out of your book. Best of luck with biking & maybe your running distance will also increase. Cheers!
