Robin is the only celebrity whose death makes me feel sad every time I see something with him in it.
Yep! The tears build up and I have to walk away. Such a gentle soul, we didnt deserve him
Katherine Brown even after 6 years, what a lost. 😢. I'm just glad people still remember him.
@@katherinebrown7182 We were lucky to have him in our lives.
and Steve Irwin, and Paul Walker
That’s exactly how I feel too.
Years after his passing, and I often times find myself crying. Crying for a man I never knew. I pray his soul is free.
Same 🥺♥️
His Comedy definitely was different. It wasn’t my cup of tea at all. I did not get his humor. Nanu Nanu ??? I saw him in concert and he was on the third joke and I was laughing at the first one. Too hard to keep up
He's resting in peace, waiting for the resurrection :)
I miss him so much x
He was such a special person, it was impossible to miss. It's amazing to me how many people were connected to him and therefore each other, it somehow brings us ALL closer together. It takes a truly miraculous human to do that. I'll always miss him and get choked up whenever I think of him.
Robin Williams is probably the only comedian that could go on stage with no written material and be hilarious for 2 hours. Complete genius.
That's quite disrespectful to him, one of his idols Don Rickles never had anything written.
Absolutely!
Ross Noble comes close
Dave chappelle does the same
Billy connelly
I don't regret Robin has passed. I regret every single one of us didn't get a chance to tell him "thank you".
indeed
I feel so blessed that I was able to grow up in a time that he was alive. What a privilege
Regret so much not meeting him.
I could not agree more, thank you.
Beautifully stated
I don't know how Crystal managed to do this, without falling apart, but he did, and bravo.
I respect your comment, good on you.
I respect your comment, good on you.
+tuxguys Billy is a real Pro. a great actor and a great human being.
Billy did an interview on the Nerdist podcast talking about Robin. He said in rehearsal he came out, saw the picture of Robin and broke. He was able to pull it together because he knew there were a lo t of people in the audience who needed comforting and wanted a chance to remember him.
RUclips, ladies and gentlemen. The modum of the future.
Robin Williams isn't dead, he's still in Jumanji waiting for someone to roll a 3 or 5.... RIP Legend
+Jacob Grzanowicz 5 or 8
So... let's keep rolling the dices and hoping to meet him again!
5 or 8
at least get it right if your gonna quote jumanji
Wait. Seriously? It's 5 or 8. 😰
Whoever had the idea to end it with him walking offstage as a little kid with no sound but his footsteps is brilliant. That gave me chills.
That is how I imagined the spirit in the sky calling Robin in, taking him to a place where he will be free of pain. Like a child, forever free in a land of contentment.
It’s actually an edit.
I’ve seen that comedy routine.
The little kid is supposed to be his oldest kid, his son, who was a child then.
The child says, “nah, f it.”
I guess to be on youtube, the “f” had to be edited out.
That will be all of us one day. It hits home
@@robertandhollyscorpiofan2697 what is the title of the youtube video
@@keerthikaruna i forget the title, but it was a comedy routine at the Metropolitan opera.
“I’m a clown but I cry” -Chris Farley. The funniest ppl have the saddest hearts.
Also the kindest people

they also have the best personality’s allot of love kindness and compassion.
He didn’t have a sad heart, he developed Lewy Body Disease a type of dementia
The part where he portrays his kid and walks off the stage got me.
Us too. Lost it. How many others are that deep and not afraid to show it? To make us think? To try to make others laugh? To help others? He did it all.
That was from his 1986 special "Robin Williams: Live at New York's Metropolitan Opera. It was certainly one of the best.
FriendofRamblinJack Hit the wrong link. Sorry about that.
C. Middleton I'm going to look for that.
They actually cut the last two words that his son says, but I won't spoil it for you. If you love Robin and his humor, you'll really enjoy it. It was an HBO special from 1986.
I can't imagine how hard that was for Billy. Serious respect.
Probably at _least_ as hard as the eulogy he delivered for Ali, his 'big brother.'
Billy stated in a interviews that in rehearsal, he came out onto the stage to practice the speech , he first saw the picture of Robin and lost it. He knew that he needed to keep it together so he could get thru the speech. They were close friends. R I p Robin.
He said it best it was one of the hardest thing he has ever done.
“It’s hard to talk about him in the past when he was so present in our lives” that hit hard💯
Dear Robin.............Forever in our hearts and forever missed.
I'm totally amazed that Billy managed to keep it together. I would have been a complete mess. Very professional, classy and under control. I'm sure Robin was impressed. :)
He's an incredible eulogist, you should watch the one he did for Muhammad Ali if you haven't already
you took the words and feelings right out of my mouth & heart.
I got all teared up just watching this, ... like so many others.
I know that Robin's friends were devastated, ... but I know they also understood that HE WANTED THAT EXIT. he wanted to bow out.
Aleks Persson When I found out that Robin Williams died, I was in disbelief. Robin Williams was the only comedian to ever make me laugh.
Jeff Narrow He was a one-off, for sure. And we were all very lucky to be alive at the same time he was. :)

He's greatly missed. There will never be another Robin Williams.
9 years later and I still shed a tear…
It's been five years since we lost Robin, and even now I still cannot fathom the concept of this man who was truly one in a million.
R.I.P. Robin Williams
"O Captain, My Captain!"
It still breaks my heart.
@@aircanuck mine too
Just watched the HBO documentary bout him and realized how insurmountable his accomplishments were.... and still are. :(
Thank you for sharing your talent with us
He isn't lost. He isn't going to be found.
He hanged himself.
He is dead.
He isn't lost.
We've never had a friend like him!
That silence at the end, so haunting.
xsara123
True
Jesus. That part haunted me when I got to that part, so fucking surreal
I'm sure if the camera panned the audience, there wouldn't be one dry eye in the theater.
And the best part is censored out, in which Robin said, in the voice of his kid, “Naw…fuck it.”
That fkn cuts!
The silence at the end was just powerful....robin williams was my childhood he is sorely missed
Psychology politicians in Washington talking about abortion. About how a human is a human. But once you’re born. You’re on your own buddy. Good Luck
My favorite thing that he did was voice the Genie in Aladdin! One of my 2 favorite Disney movies 🎬 He brightens up my day every time he sang Friend Like Me, but that moment when Aladdin sets him free, that's the BIGGEST thing to me, proving to all that Aladdin had a real heart. And watching this, all I can think is Genie, your free! Like many, I truly wish that I could have met him IRL 😔
It's been years, and Robin's death still hurts like hell.
I will always feel the the loss of robin Williams
I don't think his passing will ever stop being heartbreaking.
you could tell billy was struggling to keep it together....great tribute.
RIP robin
Billy admitted on The View that this tribute was "one of the most difficult things he ever had to do." But somewhere, way up high, I believe Robin is looking down and thinking:"Well done, my friend. I'm proud of you too. It was a privilege working with you and getting to know you..calling you my friend was an honor. "
Lisa Toner You should watch him speaking about it on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, really great bit. They tell some funny stories about him, and talk about Billy's tribute.
I really don't know how he did it. Those two were like brothers. I remember Billy was talking about William 1 time and William was overseas supporting the troops. And out of no where William calls Billy up and its 4am in cali and they talked for hrs. He remember everyone's birthdays too and send gifts. Sorry I've always been a big fan of Robin and Billy
@@michaelwachendorf2096 It reminds me about the speech that John Cleese gave at Graham Chapman's funeral. Cleese was there when Chapman passed away, but had to be led out of the room because he couldn't handle it. The speech that he gave at the funeral must have been so painful, and yet he turns it into the funniest funeral services I have ever seen.
Robin Williams...what a concept!

Behind the laughter,
there’s pain.
Please check on your friends especially during these tough times.
I was shocked about how he died, I never thought he would take his own life, and I think many of you feel the same way. His death taught me that behind a smile you think that he's okay, but when you look behind the smile, there were demons that he spent years fighting until he couldn't fight no more. He was from my dad's generation, but I grew up watching him. He was a kind, funny, and beautiful man. He will be one of those people who come along only once in a lifetime. Rest in peace Robin and give our love to your best friend Christopher Reeve. Smile my boy, it's sunrise.
It's been 7 years... it may as well have been yesterday. We still miss you so much, Robin.
Yes.
Yes! As so many, including Billy have said there will never be another one like him.
I never took depression seriously until Robin took his own life. To see someone with an insane ability to bring joy to everyone, suffer is truly heartbreaking. I genuinely hope no one has to go through that. Thank you Robin for once again opening my eyes. You’re are sorely missed.
I live in Syria!! , during this bloody civil war .. your videos always made me laugh and forget
RIP Robin , you will be missed by the entire planet .. what a legend

My prayers are with your country.
Amber Reynolds so nice of you , thanks a lot :)
God bless you Taufik Bitar.
Taufik Bitar There are no borders to comedy or humanity. Good luck over there, bro.

Greatest public eulogy ever...Don't you think...So well deserved...Thank you Billy.
"It's very hard to talk about him in the past, because he was so present in our lives."
7 years later, eyes streaming. We loved you so much and still do Mr. Robin Williams.
RIP Robin Williams
1951 - 2014
Rolling a 3 or a 5 sadly won't save you this time, but we wish so much it would.
You're with us in our hearts, Robin.
5 or 8*
He is deid in body yes but he lives on in our hearts, minds, and memories and there no 5 or 8 required. Have a great day stay safe a smile fir he lives on in you.
A friend. A father. A mentor. A comedian. An actor. A brother. A son. A guardian angel. A human being. It pains me to know that whilst he was struggling internally with his mental state, he still managed to bring a smile in people’s faces even if he wasn’t taking care of himself. People didn’t know he was struggling until he killed himself. His brilliant mind was his best friend but also his worst enemy. We need to look after one another.
It's been six years and watching this still gets me teary.
9 years and same thing 😢😢😢
4:31 To this day, that part gets me every time! Love and miss you Robin.
Does anyone else think that was a perfect ending with him walking off stage god it was so touching. He was one of my favorite actors Rest in peace an thanks for the laughs an he will be remembered for years to come
Definitely made me cry. When an actor dies I usually don't cry but thjs one actually bring tears everytime I see any tribute. This is actually beautiful. The ending made me choke up. RIP ROBIN! you left us too soon!
This tribute could have been LONGER,I might add.Show when he was young and so on...
You never know what someone is going through. Robin made us laugh but deep down he was battling. An amazing man and sad he is gone.
So many are filled with unknown pain (depression), yet they give to others in need. Robin. Williams was an actor, comic, and an humanitarian. RIP, May you have peace.
March 2023 and this still brings me to tears. Had he died because he was sick, it may have been easier to cope with, but the fact that this hilarious man, who made us all laugh, took his own life, is incomprehensible. How sad he must have been and how desperate he must have been to do such a thing. I hope he is at peace. 💜💜
He was sick from Lewy Body Dementia; you can google what his widow explains about it.
His death cannot be clearly categorized as a suicide.
When I pass, I wish to have someone miss me and speak of me a tenth the way Billy speaks of Robin. That would be a wonderful life...
Robin Williams was able to bring tears to our eyes with joy, laughter and sadness. He was a gift to us while he was on this mortal World and now heaven is a better place with this man in it.
I remember watching this live and being amazed at his ability to get through this. Bravo Billy.
8 years now and it still feels like it was a joke and we’re waiting for him to jump out of somewhere and say, “Got Cha!”
He was funny, charming, witty & most of all....IRREPLACEABLE. Always in our hearts.
The last scene of this video is heartbreaking
The sound of those footsteps....
Jesus. That part haunted me when I got to that part, so fucking surreal
lkgrave it was so damn haunting dude
I can't get through this without crying, all these years later.
Same here...
How true. The world could surely use a little of Robin Williams right about now.
Me too! Robin is a legend.
me neither...
what a loss. Still.
How I admire Billy Crystal’s take on transcendence is so moving.
In the last scene, he is holding is hand high as he is the little boy going to the next place, so sad
AAD I cried too on the last part too
Let him come back God let him come back! The world needs him now more than ever!!!!
Goodness this comment made me lose it 😔😭

and powerful
oh my heart. what a wonderful wonderful man. The ending was breath taking. You will be sadly missed Robin Williams.
So true. There will never be another Robin. I can't believe we've lost this dear man.
agree totally , actually got a lump in my throat with that --- rip R.W
What a great Tribute! I also made a video about Robin Williams with an interesting fact about his death. You can check it out on my channel
when laughter dies. all thats left is tears. RIP robin. the world is not as funny anymore.
I don't know how Billy did it. This was wonderful and full of such love.
That last part was powerful
Fresh it was very touching
whynotbig It was just like WOW it gave me goosebumps
Fresh The very end was part of a mid 1980's HBO stand-up special Williams filmed called "Live At The Met" at the Metropolitan Opera House, NYC. The closing routine was Williams talking about looking into the future and parenting and mentoring his then-young son, Zachary. It's both touching and hilarious. Especially if you've ever been a parent but it's still great if not.
+Mike Shaffer I listened to it on my phone a few months back almost cried in the train, i hope when i have a kid in a few years it will learn english fast so him or her can listen to it as well a bit later in life.

I never knew him personally but even now 2 years later his loss is felt ...
The same feeling here. Watching this tribute brought back all I felt when I originally heard it. Tears.. Then I scroll down and see your profile and felt a little better.. SuperWhoLocked here.
Kristin G. 👍👍
3 years later I'm still hurting I was still hurting from the loss of George carlin and in 2014 my hero robin Williams passes away man it hurts still
4 years later and I'm still getting misty eyed watching this.
Man, I miss him! I could never have stood there like Billy Crystal did without bawling!
Bangerang, Oh captain my captain, See you in Neverland. I had the sheer joy of meeting this wonderful man during my one & only extra work on his movie Man Of The Year. At the end of the night as when he was done shooting he came over, shook the hand, asked our names & how we were doing & tanking us. You could tell it was something he not only wanted to do but loved doing. I was totally thrilled on the bus ride home & is a moment I treasure even more now. Sadly my extra work ended after because of verbally abusive losers.
The last scene resonates... it's almost as if he's talking to you...
The only term that can describe him to me is, "Once in a lifetime talent".
this has to be one of the greatest eulogies ever… Bravo Billy Crystal
Mrs. Doubtfire is my favorite comedy from the 1990s, if not my favorite comedy period. The line "I don't work with the males, 'cause I used to be one" always cracks me up.
Rie-hu Vane HELOOOOO!!!
Just finished watching it!
Musta been a run by fruiting!
my grandmother died when i was 11 and my mother commited suicide a month later due to her illnesses she had so i was in a very dark time of my life and i would watch robins stand up shows endlessly to help me cope with everything that had happen and at the time i didnt fully understand all the concepts he was going through at the time but i always laughed
after i had heard he died and the way he did it broke a little piece of me like im sure it has tons of people and he will surely be missed by many and will always be remembered rip my friend i never got to meet you but you helped me more than words can describe
+ssisnake Yeah me too man, I have never met Robin, and I wish I had so badly, but I actually am utterly saddened he is not with us now. I grew up watching his movies, Flubber, Good Will Hunting, etc. Patch Adam's really hit home for me, too. He really was a hilarious guy, a beautiful man. He has a way with people that not very many other people do. I still, to a degree, think that he may have not fully understood how much of an impact he had on others around him. He certainly was a gift for the world.
By the way, i'm sorry about your loss, man. May them rest in peace. I don't know what it's like to lose someone very close, but I know pushing through that kind of thing takes some extraordinary courage. From one fellow man to another, I wish you the absolute best. Keep on pushing forward, don't ever give up bro life is a challenge filled with obstacles approach them head on while going mach 4 with a smile on your face, and dominate them. Good on you, stay solid, my friend...
Sorry for what you had to go through. My Dad split and my mom was a paranoid schizophrenic. Lot's of f'd up childhood stories. I wanted to commit suicide at 8 years old. Just know you're not the only one out there that hurts. And thank you for sharing. Good luck.
You did too. I lost my mom and a month later my grandmother. Wasn't easy but watching his movies his funny ones. His serious rolls would make me cry so much. I'm sorry for you loss.
I'm watching this six years later and thinking how badly we need Robin right now. Tears are literally streaming down my face for a man I never met but who I miss so badly. Robin Williams wasn't just a funny man, he was kind, compassionate, and a real mensch. The world needs more Robin Williams'. Unfortunately, there will only ever be one. Fortunately, he was here in our lifetime.
To this day...thinking of Robin Williams brings me joy and sadness. Thank you Robin for putting a smile on my face when life was hard..if only we knew how you were doing deep down inside. We love you Robin
oh captain my captain
The world is missing a piece of its soul without you, Mr. Williams. You're 'Captain' of comedy.
Billy, always the true professional. A man of talent, class and style. If you haven't seen "700 Sundays" (his one man show, and story of his life) find it, it's nothing short of amazing!
When I heard the news, the first person who came to my mind was Billy Crystal. At the beginning you can tell his voice sort of breaking and then he managed to keep it together. It was difficult to him standing there and try to say something about his dearest friend. I miss Robin Williams, he was too good for this world, very talented and the funniest man on earth. #RIPGenie and YES! #WhatAConcept #Respect
Still can't believe he's gone 💔 never forget the day news broke of his passing I balled like a baby 😭😭😭 RIP to the funniest man ever
When a celebrity dies I think, "That's sad" and then I go about my day. When I heard about Robin's death I sat and cried. What a brilliant mind, equally talented at comedy and drama! He had a heart as big as the universe. When I see a reminder of him now, I give thanks for the way he made this world a better place.
Robin was a force of nature, a raging id. We were so lucky to have had him. Forty years just wasn't enough. Six years later, I find myself laughing, then crying. Bravo, Billy. I don't know how you made it through that.
Robin was a gift to the world from God! There will NEVER be another one like him again ever. REST IN PEACE..😭💔🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
One of the greatest human beings who ever existed.
Yes he was
Him & Fred Rogers !!
Comedically, yes.
He is literally the GOAT
People that gave this a thumbs down, what is wrong with you? Robin Williams died! He was the king of comedy! How could you do that? Mr.williams was the best of the best. You have problems. Robin Williams. R.I.P
I was wondering the same thing.
My theory - some might feel as though giving the video a thumbs up might in some way make others, or probably themselves, feel as though they're not approving the message of the video, but the fact that Robin Williams is gone. And doing a thumbs down would do the opposite - perhaps raging against the idea that he is gone. I sometimes experience that odd theory with certain videos - I did give this a thumbs up, but like with many things, it's not a simple black or white concept and I try to (not all the time, but often) consider why someone might do a certain thing that makes me angry or confused. Like the guy on the highway who seems in such a hurry for no apparent reason and flashes you before you even have a chance to move over (or maybe he ticks you of and you don't move over). Just because we don't know the reason, that doesn't mean there is none. Maybe he's on his way to a job interview for his dream job, and he got delayed by something he had no control over. Or maybe his wife is about to give birth and he's trying to get to the hospital in time. There are times like these when forgiving is the only good policy. Anger only begets more anger.
It's either called "an opinion"
Or people who just wanted to get a reaction from people like you ...those who think they HAVE to respond and "defend the honor" of a celebrity.
Congratulations, you gave them attention
Nope, the end got me, I never really cry over actors, people I never knew. But Robin was a freaken national treasure, he was warm, inviteing, funny yet kind. He was everybody's friend and when he talked it felt like he was talking straight to you, acting, comedy or in person. I don't care if I sound like a blubbering idiot, but this was hard. His works lifted my spirits when I felt down, he inspired me like no outher artist. I'm gonna miss him dearly, an I'm going to go cry now.
9 years later...still not over it😞😭
In the darkness at the end of that clip you could feel a large majority of people in the audience starting to cry, and that's what made me emotional, its a horrible thing that's happened, and it just shows they have heart.
Beautiful and moving tribute. Crystal is something else.
After all this time, there still isn't anyone remotely close to his brilliance. And I doubt there ever will be
God I wish I could have met him...but after watching almost everything he ever did I know that he will forever be remembered as one of the most passionate actors ever. Talented falls short of his true ability... amazing is lackluster in definition of his skills... legendary, only falls a million miles short of his true form as an actor and person. I hope and pray that I get to meet him one day amongst the stars and distant shores... R.I.P. OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN.
if you haven't got a tear from watching this, there's something wrong with you.
I remember Billy Crystal's tweet after he got news of Robin's death, he tweeted 'no words.' he was speechless and grieving, and i commend him on the courage to give tribute to his fellow co-founder of Comic Relief, i wondered why didn't whoopi joined in, i guess, she's still grieving for robin, I miss you, Robin. All i have are your past shows, movies, and comedy specials to look at from time to time, but the comic world will be a bit less sunny without you.
Only one person could pull this off. And Billy Crystal did it wonderfully.
I just watched a interview that Whoopi did with Billy Crystal on the View, 2 months after Robin Williams died. She could not get through the interview without pausing while talking about Robin Williams, I wonder if it was too difficult for do it, like you mentioned in your comment.
Billy said that this was one of the hardest things to do in his life. Robin was not just his comedic partner, but one of his best friends.
God rest you Robin. Peace at last. Prayers for your family.
Robin Williams was such an amazing actor/comedian. He will always be missed.
It's been many years now....& still it's hard to believe he's gone. Even though he is not here in body....he will always be here in spirit. It still makes me cry when I see this video or really anything thats dedicated to him. I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Williams but like so many others....I feel he was still a part of my life. When he left this world a part of me went with him. RIP Robin Williams 🙏😇
Oh god 💔 I can't watch this without tearing up. What a remarkable soul Robin Williams was.
In memory of Robin Williams, one of the best, one of the greatest, and always in our hearts.
I think one of the greatest gifts someone can possess is the ability to make people laugh. Robin was God’s gift to the world.
"welcome to iran, help me"

My god the last clip of him talking about his son and not being afraid hit hard RIP You wonderful man ❤️
2020 and I still miss seeing him on screen.
Three years on and the world still celebrates the genius of Robin Williams and mourns his passing. There will never be another like him.
I grew up watching Robbin Williams during the '70s, for me there was no other master of comedy than Robin, and there never will be... Heaven has gotten a whole lot brighter since you got there...
Still brings a tear to my eye thinking about this great man's passing! The world is still so much colder without men like him!
I cried at the end....
Thank you Billy.
Thank you Robin.
Cried like a baby at the end there. He will be missed the world over...and beyond.
Goodbye Robin. You made me laugh so many times and brought joy to my life when I was done many times more. Thank you, god bless you, and rest in peace.
Robin Williams is the one performer I can truly say "We will never see another one like him."
What an amazing talent he had.
I still cry everytime I watch this. After all these years I miss Robin everyday and I usually I don't even remember famous people's deaths, but this one hit me right on the heart :(...
Man, that last scene just broke me.
