No standard dual zone climate control is equally bad considering previous gen had it standard

Yeah. On one hand I actually like the smaller screen and sparse option list but on the other, 13 blank buttons are a little depressing.

Yeah a decent equipped TRD sport/off road/ limited is about $55K. A pro is $65K

Yeah that is a nice truck.
I had a 2012 Base Regular Cab Tacoma 4x4 for 10 years.
I traded it in for a RAV4 Limited Hybrid.
I really enjoyed my Base Tacoma.
It had a 4 cylinder 5 speed manual.
I had to ADD my Cruise Control to it.
However I paid $18,600.00 dollars for mine out the door with 23 miles on it.
It was a great deal.
A Tacoma today happens to be quite pricy now.
Can’t wait for 3 years later for these to be more affordable 😂…unless there’s another pandemic 😖

@@zudeck not quite. i built a 4runner in TRD off road trim and they're 50k. used with 20k to 60k miles on them you will save at least 1ok to 15k. im in the market to buy in the next year or later this year as stealerships will discount year end.

Nice. I purchased mine about a week ago. First 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road in New Orleans. So I can relate to being one of the first proud owners in the USA. The new generation of Tacoma is a great overall truck. Love it! Thanks for the cool review. Enjoy your new Tacoma!

It's perfect for comedic reasons and even more for being supper catchy with the viewers hahaha!
Had those steps on my last taco. Ground them off (at the support welds), leaving the tubes as like rocker guards, carefully/cleanly, ground the remaining weld areas. Sprayed the grind/feather marks with matching paint. Much better without.

Nice truck. One of the curses of buying Toyota's here is Texas is the unwanted options that the distributor, Gulf States Toyota, adds to each vehicle. The options on your truck were minimal, but I have seen Gulf States add $2000 worth of options that the potential customer never ordered and may not want. Leads to a contentious conversation with the salesman.

super stoked for this truck. I think they nailed the styling. I would 100% upgrade from my 2020, but with a 1 year old and a german shepherd, thinking the new 4runner will be perfect.

Great video thanks. What stood out to me was how far the front seat was back into the rear seat. Would appreciate a quick shot of one of you in the front seated comfortably and then the other trying to fit if at all in back seat.

Yes I understand it’s a midsize truck and that the space can be compacted. Is the seat all the way back or adjusted already for them? The question was more directed to the hosts as something they might be willing to show as they are making content that I would be interested in seeing but thanks for your input.
Great color on that Tacoma. The interior is slowly growing on me.
I have been a Realtor for this family before, and they are wonderful people. We have purchased a few Tundras from them. Great dealership.

My 2020 TRD Off Road Premium + Tech was 44k new and I paid 39.5k for it. Now a loaded Tacoma Off Road is 55k. You can get a Colorado ZR2 for low 50's.
Everything you need and nothing you don't: side steps and exhaust tips? Haha. Looking forward to more of Blueberry.

You guys fit in the cab with plenty of head room and leg room! The Toyota pickup has finally fixed its forever interior curse for bigger guys! I like it!

@@RustyShacklefordlivefreeordienope, it's a matter of manufacturers setting the highest price point as the customers will pay. When sales decline so will prices. Prices are just beginning to come down in all manufacturers.

The long wheelbase Tacoma looks good. The old LWB looked stretched. The worst feature of previous Tacomas was the seating position, good to see it's been improved for taller people.

Interesting truck, I’ve always been a Ford guy do to be a Ford auto tech for 30+ years. Primarily heavy line tech but could fix just about anything as long as a manual was available ….retired from wrenching due to body aches and pains but still wrench a little. The wife and I just bought 2 brand new 23 Broncos and love them. Electronics is the only thing that scares me on the newer vehicles …the bronco driveline seems easily accessible to work on if need be some day….my wife’s fear is the Bronco is a little hard getting in/out cause it sit higher than she’s use too….that being said if for some reason she or I can’t do Broncos in the future I’ve been thinking of going with a Tacoma. The size is nice for my wife and she likes the bed area for hauling but it’s not a huge full size truck that’s had to maneuver in parking lots.
Why are you considering the Tacoma over the better looking and designed ford ranger?
@@valsdirtbikeadventures269 it’s a toss up….only thinking of the Tacoma for reliability reasons….its looks is improving over the years, but yes the Ranger does look better!
The Ford engines and general lack of quality are enough to scare me away from the blue oval.

I bought a 22 Tacoma, took the steps off after a short time, they just get in the way. Like the cleaner look much better, 5/10 minute removal.
I don't think I would tow anything until after the break-in period. Thoughts?
I am a new owner of a 2023 Tacoma TRD OR Access Cab as of 27 Jan 2024. It was a base model and I have dual zone climate. I wish the dealership didn’t pull my screen protector off. I picked mine up with 8 miles. It has driver lumbar.
The reason I got a 2023 because of the naturally aspirated V6 and the Access doors.
I had/have (tree fell on it) a 2023 4 dr trd sport. I ordered it in Dec 22. Recieved it end of March 23. The 24 looks like a step down with mediocre upgrades. The v6 was a selling point for me.

@@Georgewashington-o7m The 3rd gen Tundras had some major issues with the drivetrain (I believe it was the turbos) when they first came out.
Toyota trucks are great in terms of reliability, but they aren’t immune to problems. No manufacturer is. And I say this as someone with a 1st gen Tacoma 2.4.
Approximately 100 trucks had turbo problems because a supplier screwed up something. That was in the first year. The Tundra is in its 3rd year now. No engine problem since. However, there are still a bunch of smaller problems (window rattling, whistling noise from some of the mirrors (not all trim mirrors)), etc).
@@is6566 fit and finish is brutal on new tundras and don’t get me started on all the flaws in the design….

They have everything set up by Toyota and the store just handles the sale.
They also don’t put spray in bed liners in the trucks at all.

I love the standard TRD Off Road with little options, I have a '17 TRD OR with all the bells and whistles and the sunroof leaked, don't really need dual climate control, leather seat is worn out, but it does have 167k miles. Glad to know you don't evey option imaginable to get a nice "cheapish" truck (I'd get the 6 speed option though).

I saw it last week. Truck is great looking. Only issue is the backseats legroom is ridiculously small.
My next purchase at a dealership will be very well thought out, no getting fleeced
I have the same side steps on my 4Runner TRD, and they are nearly worthless if you are over 6 ft tall and have a shoe size bigger than 10. In fact I have to step, stretch over them getting in and out which is not hip friendly. Thinking about taking them off, cutting off the step then refinishing the bar and reinstalling it.
Otherwise, wonderful vehicle. Keep up the good work, love the reviews.

this is one of my fave toyota colors, My old Scion tc was the same and always got comments when it rained because of the look under the lights at the gas pumps. I know it's not for everyone, but it's great.
The Tacoma is one of the few trucks I like. Also, the Colorado, probably because my friend has a new one, but I've always liked the Tacoma.
