The 3 colors have arguably always been paired together as part of the Zelda Lore ever since the original The Legend of Zelda on the NES allows Link to change his clothes from Green, Blue and Red. It's because of this running gag across the first 4 games that Miyamoto and Aonuma chose to pair each of them with the 3 Golden Goddesses who created the World and the Triforce which represents their essence. Interesting! Similarly, I’ve thought the three timelines represent the Triforce. The downfall timeline is Power, because it’s where Ganon prevails, Child timeline is Courage, because it’s more Link-focused, and adult timeline is Wisdom, because it’s more Zelda-focused (e.g. the hero isn’t even around, when Hyrule gets flooded.)
The timeline theory is the canon theory so there’s that, canonically all the games are connected via a split timeline, the split happens at Ocarina of Time; the timeline splits are the one where Gannon prevails, the one where Gannon is stopped by Adult link, then the one where Gannon is stopped by child link.

Tears of the kingdom is about fear because courage symbolizes being able to act even when scared or out matched and the new trailer showed flying monsters, dragons, re re deads, caves, real ganon, new boss monsters, and lots of darkness
Just like how BOTW was about malice, blind thoughtless rage lacking all wisdom. Calamity Ganon was so opposite to wisdom that he was just a mindless beast. And Link lost all memory, and the whole game was his journey to regaining his memory and understanding of the situation. I think TOTK was more about hopelessness and despair, aka gloom. The opposite of courage. The whole game laid out an impossible enemy, shattering the master sword, withering Link's arm off, stranding Zelda in the distant past, making the whole situation seem hopeless. Gdorf on the other hand was overconfident and aloof, having no courage purely because he felt there was no contest. When his courage was tested he immediately caved and sacrificed himself to power. I predict the next game's red goo will be called languor or sorrow. The Ganon iteration will be weak and depressed at his inability to take Hyrule, and he will have some cunning, intelligent plan to win. He'll be more on par with Wind Waker's Ganondorf. The game will be a journey to amass enough power to overcome Ganon's plan, not just Link himself but the kingdom as a whole.
I used to think in each “Triforce game” we would learn more about the person who wields that Triforce. For example. In skyward sword we learned where all of the Gabon’s came from. In BOTW we learned a lot about Zelda and unlocking her powers. Perhaps in TOTK we learn about link and his quest for the triforce.
My theory is easily disproven. An age long forgotten before the great flood, people started reenhabiting the now dried ocean. Renaming it hyrule, and the sky people zonai established the civilizations, and Rito already could easily repopulate The Gorons naturally came back to thr volcano of death mountain. The Zora resurfaced. The people returned and then forgot the history long before.

Now we know that the triforce is even more absent in TOTK. I've done all the main quests and nearly every side-quest, and the only triforce reference I can remember is Sonia's tatoos, other than the normal hylian crests that contain the triforce showing up on shields, armor, flags, etc.
According to ending of Breath of the Wild Zelda is the one who's currently in possession of it so we may very well not need to collect the pieces to stop Ganondorf. Add to that the fact we're already busy collecting "Tears" and reforging the Master Sword and it becomes less unlikely we'll also need the obtain the Triforce as part of a Quest of it's own.
Yeah in response to Zelda possibly having the Triforce, to me it seemed like that was just her sealing power and the Triforce shown was just a symbol of that power and not the actual Triforce. Others have theorized that as well but it’s not 100% certain. Even if she did actually have the Triforce in BOTW though. It’s still possible she loses it, given that deadly fall we see in the trailer. So I still believe there’s a chance we might have to find it, or at least use the tears to help keep Ganondorf away from it.
Having a game with puzzle shrines be the game of wisdom is actually GENIUS. Following that logic the courage game (TOTK) should probably revolve around maybe sacrifice? Like it's courageous to venture somewhere where you might never come back but let's not kid ourselves there isn't gonna be permadeath so maybe if you die you lose your gear? That would be a cool way to have a permadeath-like system that doesn't feel bs
Age of Calamity is the game of Power in the trilogy. 1. It tells a story directly in the timeline and setting of BotW and TotK 2. Its gameplay focus is on taking and controlling locations and leading armies in a grand strategy, making it a game of power 3. Its box art and logo a have a red color scheme, identifying it with the triforce of Power.
Um what no that is not correct. Not in the slightest, why? Because age of calamity is non Canon it tells of an alternate timeline where the calamity is PREVENTED by the robot going to the past just as it was happening. So age of calamity does not fit in the official timeline.
This would've been interesting. I'm hoping there'll be a third game that might explore this timeline further on, and if it's far enough to have the new Gerudo king, it could be the Power entry & even bring in the Triforce
The triforce is in botw, its not the main focus but zeldas power is shown to be that of the triforce, her hand literally lights up with it at the end of the game when you beat ganon
Also, notice how in a link to the past, the three pendants you earn have the same power as the three dragons in bite? These pendants were made by three ancient wizards that had these powers of fire ice and thunder. Before they died they sealed their powers away in these turee pendants, which through out the years, have been changed all the way to the dragons dinraal, farosh, and nydra.
Wait I just realized that the dragons in totk and botw (the original ones) may also represent each part of the triforce and their possible wielders in the past before being draconified, farosh: courage, Dinraal: power and Naydra: wisdom
The “Tears” are called Mataganas. They represent animal claws and are typically made of gemstones. An example of this is the Amber/Dusk relics from Skyward Sword
These also make appearances in the Phoenix Wright games. Recognized it instantly when I started up TOTK on release day. Almost shouted “OBJECTION” at the tv screen 😂
I know this is an old video, out before TotK's release, but I saw these connections a while back as well! It also goes into the theming of the stories as well. In SS, Zelda and Link are forging a new *power* to take down an evil. In BotW, Link is trying to find himself, as is Zelda. They are seeking *wisdom* to defeat an evil. In TotK, (Spoilers, btw) Zelda and Link courageously seek out the root of corruption to face it, only to encounter Ganon himself. In the past, Zelda must have the *courage* to lose herself to ensure the Master Sword is powerful enough to defeat Ganon.
I always thought the game of power was Aoc, and of course it wasn’t originally made by Nintendo. Skyward Sword arguably makes more sense as the game of power in my opinion after watching this video
I like how this kinda goes with a video I watched about how the malice is red because of the triforce of power within ganon, that the sheikah tech is blue which symbolizes the triforce of knowledge in Zelda and that this new whatever it is is green and is tied with link, so it must represent the triforce of courage
Can we take a minute to remember that there is a game called hyrule warriors age of calamity where the whole colour scheme is red and is all about get powerful
My personal theory regarding the triforce is that, due to the multiple timelines, the original goddesses, Din Farore and Nayru, used the triforce to essentially do a cosmic do over. This created a singular timeline, a single Ganondorf, and something of an amalgamation of the various species. Case and point, in Windwaker it was established that the Rito were the descendants of the Zora. Now they are alternate species and cultures. Finally, there are the three dragons that roam Hyrule that are suspiciously similar to the three golden goddesses. It’s possible that the Secret Stones are either the triforce broken into seven fragments, or an off shoot as the goddesses absorbed the triforce to hide its existence and hence became dragons themselves, just as those that consume the sacred stones becomes.
Kinda makes sense, skyward sword was focused on ganon and thus power, breath of the wild was focused on Zelda trying to find her hidden strength and thus wisdom, and now this game seems to be much more focused on link and specifically what happens to him and what he’s going to do with that, thus courage. Very cool Nintendo
I wonder if the DLC will be about the Triforce to finally root out Demise's curse. Fi is alive and active in the Master Sword, imagine if she pops out and is like "Yo go find some magic triangles."
Can't wait to end up only have playing 2 of the 3 entries in this trilogy. Both taking place in the current Hyrule with Calamity Ganon's weird malice seed all over the place
more obvious hint: there is a big triforce on the switch oled edition of totk... but no, no triforce in the game, it makes no sens like a lot of things in this game. Or maybe they hide it very well somewhere?
Spot on - The Beginning Middle and End. This is the main Reason Why they Re-released the Remastered Skyward Sword, post BOTW with the final Part of the trilogy being TOTK
Don’t forget that skyward sword was the only other game to hint about an ancient civilization that created constructs and that ganondorf’s demon king appearance is almost identical to Demise’s
Honestly, I’m a little disappointed with how the Zonai were handled, I like BOTW’s version better because they added mystery, I don’t like TOTK because they were completely different from what they were intended to be, they said they descended upon Hyrule from the sky, but in BOTW it says the lived in the Faron region, and in TOTK they’re made out to be scholars and peaceful but in BOTW they’re said to extremely hostile and warlike, you even find the barbarian set in the mazes that relate to the Zonai
I totally believe you've got it right, and have from the start. These theories are so spot on, and I think it will make TOTK the most epic piece of Zelda story/lore, being the tie that brings everything before it together. I personally love how BOTW felt so "quiet" for story, in a sense ... tragedy struck, and you were mostly alone throughout the game in this massive, long-gone kingdom. Now TOTK can come in to pull everything together and reawaken all the story in one incredible game. I am SO stoked!

That’s a brilliant theory. It kinda makes a lot of sense
The real mystery is how she’s speaking so fast
Also, notice how in a link to the past, the three pendants you earn have the same power as the three dragons in bite? These pendants were made by three ancient wizards that had these powers of fire ice and thunder. Before they died they sealed their powers away in these turee pendants, which through out the years, have been changed all the way to the dragons dinraal, farosh, and nydra.
I love everything about this theory so much, and I can't express how much I cannot wait for this game!
Bro's so fluid on yappanese 💀💀
Wait I just realized that the dragons in totk and botw (the original ones) may also represent each part of the triforce and their possible wielders in the past before being draconified, farosh: courage, Dinraal: power and Naydra: wisdom
THATS FUCKING AMAZING THIS JUST MAKES THE NEXT GAME EVEN COOLER!!!
...jeez. I nearly had a sensual overload from everything that happened in this. Like.. 0-o im disoriented
Lol do you mean sensory overload!? 😂
@@naydinfar lol I am sure that’s what he meant too 😭
Let's just hope we get classic like dungeons and good music again
😂 make it for us.
And I hoped less glitches, but the reality is another one... 😢
Your theories never cease to grab my attention
Fitting this into a short is very impressive!!
I wish I could tag PointCrow and Zeltek and ask their inputs on this.
The “Tears” are called Mataganas. They represent animal claws and are typically made of gemstones. An example of this is the Amber/Dusk relics from Skyward Sword
I thought it was Magatama
These also make appearances in the Phoenix Wright games. Recognized it instantly when I started up TOTK on release day. Almost shouted “OBJECTION” at the tv screen 😂
@@nintendistultr458 I could be wrong… I am wrong
This aged badly
Felt like I was listening to the squirell from hoodwinked explain Zelda lore and it was awesome
Find out on the next exciting episode of The Legend of Zelda Z
Aged like milk
I like how this kinda goes with a video I watched about how the malice is red because of the triforce of power within ganon, that the sheikah tech is blue which symbolizes the triforce of knowledge in Zelda and that this new whatever it is is green and is tied with link, so it must represent the triforce of courage
Ooo that’s awesome would love to see that video too!
Can we take a minute to remember that there is a game called hyrule warriors age of calamity where the whole colour scheme is red and is all about get powerful
Swing and a miss
Your fast talking is really getting me more hyped 😂😂😂
Yay!! I’m glad someone likes it 😂
Tri-force isn’t in TotK..
BotW and TotK: proper reasoning, showing it might be intentional.
SS: “idk it looked kinda similar.”
Dang her voice goin super sonic style 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wellll, i guess not
The waffle house has found it’s new host
When I first played up BOTW, the spring of wisdom was actually the first spring I visited while searching for those dang shines.
Yeah you snapped! I just got on Zelda but you did your thing for sure! I can’t wait to play it
My personal theory regarding the triforce is that, due to the multiple timelines, the original goddesses, Din Farore and Nayru, used the triforce to essentially do a cosmic do over.
Gods cant use the triforce
@@Dan-kg9no Then maybe they also gave up their divinity, and that's why they became dragons to continue their existence instead.
@@Dan-kg9nothere is a theory that din, nayru and farore from the oracle games are incarnations of them just like zelda
Tears of the Kingdom: "NAHHH!!!"
Crazy how we all thought we knew what a tear was, but they ended up being stones. The tears were so obvious yet no one saw it coming
1 year later: "no"
She was onto absolutely nothing
Except for the fact that well… totk doesnt have the triforce
The fact that a few of the previous zelda game themes are in the final trailer leads me to believe we’re coming to the end of era
Nah I think a third botw sequel game or a prequel game will represent power
I feel like ive been blasted with info at LIGHT SPEED AND I LOVE IT.
If you want to see the full theory and all the evidence I posted it this past week ruclips.net/video/c6Zbs19YQnA/видео.html
@@naydinfar okay cool
Some people say it loops to the start of skyward sword thus creating a timeline loop
I wonder if the DLC will be about the Triforce to finally root out Demise's curse.
Fi is alive and active in the Master Sword, imagine if she pops out and is like "Yo go find some magic triangles."
"May the goddess smile upon you" what a great way to end a video!
Tears of the Kingdom was a last minute thought
I think these are the 3 pieces and the NEXT game will be finding the triforce tbh
"missing in botw despite it clearly showing zelda has it"
Nicely put together.
Can't wait to end up only have playing 2 of the 3 entries in this trilogy. Both taking place in the current Hyrule with Calamity Ganon's weird malice seed all over the place
The triforce - sadly - is not a part of any quests in totk
more obvious hint: there is a big triforce on the switch oled edition of totk... but no, no triforce in the game, it makes no sens like a lot of things in this game. Or maybe they hide it very well somewhere?
HOLY DUCK LITERAL CHILLS
Spot on - The Beginning Middle and End.
This is the main Reason Why they Re-released the Remastered Skyward Sword, post BOTW with the final Part of the trilogy being TOTK
I just realized the emphasis on color in BotW and from the little I've seen in the new trailers for TotK... This is a really cool detail!
Yay thank you!!
Crazy how that all actually Fits together
