What a beautiful video! Thanks so much for sharing! My wife and I frequent The Gifford Pinchot in the early summer and fall (as burn bans and snow levels permit) but we typically are hauling ass up to the high lakes in the area. Thanks for reminding me to stop and enjoy all of it!
Your wife will love ocean camping on the beach in Olympic National Park in Washington State. Most beaches are very remote. You will think you're in paradise. The sea breezes are fresh and clean. The sound of waves is music to the ears. The stars at night are so bright as you lay on your back. It is so quiet. The problem? You have to go back to work the next day. And the parking lots are always full of cars just like Mt Rainier National Park. It's like a thousand cars there. Weekend camping is very popular spring and summer.
This was a lesson. Not in fly fishing for trout but how to lead a life well lived. At least in these condensed moments. I really enjoyed and honestly needed this. Thank you.
Thank you! Camping always has a way of showing you that slowing down is one of the greatest things that you can ever do for yourself. Cheers and thanks for watching!

I think you managed to convey the tranquility and the relaxation from your trip in the video really well. Really love the video and I'm definitely subscribing for more
@@prolificnorthwest Have you camp on the remote beach of the Olympic National Park in Wasghington State? You can hear the waves as you sleep in the tent. You can look at the stars as you lay on your back. There is no light pollution on the remote beach. It is so quiet. Just you and nature.
That’s my home water, I have fished that creek for 20 years. Please don’t tell anyone I where this, that creek has suffered enough and gets worse every season.
I just want to compliment you on a nice video that does not "Hot Spot" a vulnerable little creek! Very ethical and courteous as the fun is really getting out oneself and discovering these little jewels. Wish more RUclips content producers and fisherfolk who post would take your lead! Well done.
@@whitefishfins thank you so much and I couldn’t agree with you more. The exploration and the adventure are the best part. The fishing is just the icing on the cake.
@@ryanstewart1521 Thank you! This is always tough. There is a fine line between gatekeeping and hot spotting. At the end of the day, it's really all about exploring for me. first time watcher of your vids. I live in the PNW and go up to the Gifford several times a year, love it up there. Did you custom make your cooking rails for the pop up fire pit? That looks super cool.
Great video. We lived in Washington for thirty years and backpacked into some of the high lakes with one our boys. If you get a chance let me know what fire pan you're using. That looks like a great foldable one and your grate fits perfect. Thanks again and keep them coming.
Thank you so much! Yeah Washington really is such a beautiful place. The fire pit is the Fireside Outdoors Pop Up Pit. We love that thing. It’s compact and very versatile. The grates are a modification that I did awhile back. I actually made a video about it. Check it out if ya like. It works well in most situations but your mileage may vary if you go that route. The fire pit company also sells grates that look pretty good. I just tried to use what I had on hand. Thanks for watching!
I know this video was a year ago, just ran across it looking for good fishing in the PNW, but where would this location be and what creek or river is this.
@prolificnorthwest thank you brother both daughter's live in Washington , 8m from calibroknia lol California. I do solos her in the sierras mountain one day I'll travel up yonder GOD bless
I like all the great audio to go along with scenes rather than music over everything
Thank you very much!
Crystal clear water and wild trout! Looks like an amazing trip!
It really was! Putting my 1wt to work!

Great one! We are going this next week camping, thinking north Cascades.
Awesome! Have fun!
Have fun bro!
Love these videos thank u so much! I think its kinda funny that your eating a $16 can of salmon while catching and releasing these trout lol
Ha! Yeah, I suppose there is some irony there. It’s pretty amazing salmon. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Cheers!

@@kraptastic333 thank you so much!
Great video! Couldn’t agree more about how being out in nature puts our worries into perspective. What weight rod were you using?
It's so true. For a small creek like this I use a 7'6" 1wt! It's so much fun with these smaller wild fish. Also easier to cast in tight spaces.
Excellent video man!! Good stuff! I just recently uploaded a fishing video as well and really enjoy your videos!! Keep it up!! 🤝🤝
Thank you so much! I've got a few really exciting one's in the works. Cheers!
What is the make and model of your camper?
It's a Four Wheel Camper Fleet model. It's certainly not the cheapest option around, but it fits our needs/wants quite well.
